I've used Walgreens for decades, but this location was a frustrating experience. I stopped in to pick up a few items, including allergy medication, which was locked up. I waited for assistance while the store made repeated announcements, but no one ever showed up. I even went to the pharmacy counter twice to ask for help and was turned away both times. The store wasn't busy, so there was no reason for the delay. After waiting more than 15 minutes, I left and went to CVS across the street and finished my purchase in just a few minutes. I understand the need to lock up merchandise, but there has to be staff available to assist customers. Otherwise, it just drives people out of the store. After 30 years as a customer, this experience makes me seriously reconsider where I do my business. read more

Terrible. It takes forever to get through the automated nonsense to speak to a person who then repeatedly picks up the call and just puts you back on hold. Up to 8 times! It will finally ring and boom, they put you on hold again. Every time I call here I get a COMPLETELY different answer from each 'pharmacist'. Never dealt with such an incompetent, unprofessional staff. Is this place short staffed? New hires constantly or what? No management overseeing crew? What is going on?? This is a medical pharmacy! This pharmacy is Horrible! I went in yesterday at 9:30am and I was told I couldn't wait for my prescription because it would take a couple of hours. The lady told me I would get a text message in a few hours when my meds were ready for pickup. At 7pm I went back to Walgreens and again I was told my prescription was not ready yet. The drive thru line was long both times I was there. The gentleman working the drive thru window was horrible, and takes forever on every car. I have had him a few times and every time he seems worse. If I see he's on the window I will just go inside. Yesterday this location at Durango and Deer Springs was the worst I've ever seen it. I don't recommend this place to anyone. They better get more competent people working there or they are going to lose a lot of business, including mine! read more

I wish I could put a zero for the pharmacy. Imagine calling and being out on hold with music that annoyingly gets interrupted every 15 seconds with "blah blah blah...someone will be with you in a minute" Then the phone rings. Someone picks up says "please hold". Then you get new music and a new message. You wait and wait. Someone else picks up and then says nothing puts you on hold. Then the phone keeps ringing and eventually the system says "we are having issues. Call later" and hangs up on you. This is not the first time. You can never get this pharmacy on the phone. Also they mess things up. I had a refill and they said I didn't. I confirmed with the doctor I did but I could never talk to anyone and so eventually I just gave up. Another time at the drive through the incompetent spaced out pharmacist (please replace them with AI asap) was super rude and couldn't understand anything I as a native English speaker was saying. Super rude. This place is down the street but I'm going across town because they stink! read more

Terrible experience. I go to the doctor for a busted lip, get pain medication and is told my prescription should be ready in about 30 minutes as my pain medication will wear off soon. The doctor send my prescription at 12:16pm. I call walgreens around 2pm for an update and no response, my app isn't working, the doctors office tried calling and could not get through. I wait on hold for about 45 minutes the whole time my call is getting answered and placed immediately back on hold. I decided to go up there and their drive through line moves daily fast in a matter of 20 minutes they go through the 3 cars ahead of me. I approach the window and speak with Manager Quinnette and explain I am on hold right now for a prescription update she skips over the fact i mentioned it and went straight into getting my information all to tell me it'll be 30 minutes until it's ready. I asked her to please do something about the long hold times as I am in pain and this is a huge inconvenience having to come back all because no one answered the phone to even ask what i needed and was hung up on after i mentioned this at the window almost an hour from my original call time. I ended up leaving the drive through at 3:56pm. Again all for an update for a medication that didn't require pills as it was for a cream and a mouthwash. As a manager Quinnette could have been more understanding and empathetic in regards to the issue at hand. Obviously sick people or loved ones of sick people are coming to the window for medication. She just didn't care said she'll update my number and i'll get a text. Poor Customer Service. Will NOT be coming here again id rather drive across town then deal with another headache like this on top of my original pain. read more

This pharmacy is the worst I have ever dealt with in my life and I'm in my 40s. After today's exchange I will be moving my business elsewhere. Aside from The horrendous line and them taking forever to fill anything or order out of stock medication when an Rx is pending, they have now counted the pills incorrectly for my son's medication. They refused to acknowledge any potential responsibility or even empathy and my son went without his meds for 3 days including today. In the 5 years he's been on these meds this has never happened. He has special needs and this medication enables him to function. They could not refill the Rx until today and I understand that as it is a controlled substance. I called this morning to have it filled and the man on the phone informed me that it will be ready this afternoon. I asked if they could get it ready early given my son has been without his medication for days now. The arrogance and condescending tone I was met with was deplorable. Then the man on the phone got indignant when I raised my voice slightly. This pharmacy needs to get their act together and this specific employee needs to work in another field or Walgreens needs to fire him. People who have neurodivergence or illness in their home have enough to struggle with daily. We don't need to be treated like this. read more

Ok, so I made an appointment to get some vaccines several days in advance. My appointment was at 9:45 AM, I arrived around 9:30. They must have a severe shortage of workers because I stood in line and watched nobody work the customer windows at all for 5-10 mins. I finally got served 20 minutes after arrival (I was the 2nd person in line), and I was told I would have to fill out paperwork before being seen. Apparently their web site was not forwarding the forms I filled out days before. So I sat down, and waited, and waited, and waited. Watching the line fill up with nobody working the windows, and then a couple employees coming to cut the line down. At 10:30, I went up to the consult window to ask when I was going to be seen, already being 45 mins late. Several people that were behind me left at that time, explaining that they had things to do. I was finally taken back to the shot room at 10:50, more than an hour late. I'm not sure that this place knows the meaning of "appointment", they need to be staffed to at least be close. read more

Customer service is horrendous. I called to check status of my prescriptions at 11 AM & was told the script would be ready in 90 minutes. I came back at 1:15 PM and was told one of the prescriptions still wouldn't be ready for another 30 minutes. Frustrated, my spouse asked the rep to just give us what was ready. Instead of giving my prescriptions, they only gave us his. It's now almost 5 PM and I am STILL waiting for the one prescription to be ready and scripts called in 4 hours ago are still processing. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then all you need to know about Walgreen's on Durango can be seen in the photo. The Walgreen's pharmacy tech STAPLED my credit card to the receipt! That's right. They literally stapled my card to the receipt. Now, my credit card doesn't work (tapping or swiping). Therefore, I need to call my bank to get a new card and go through the hassle of changing my card info for all my providers. Lesson learned: I'll use ExpressScripts from now on. I came back one hour later the line was very very long. I finally got served and the man behind the counter said there is a problem with the doctor's description of the prescription. Dropped off a paper prescription with two prescriptions on it. Both being things that don't involve counting pills just putting a label on. I asked nicely if I can wait for my prescription as I was feeling really sick and uncomfortable. Lady said I can't. Waited hours for it to be ready all for ONLY ONE being ready. They didn't get the other one ready till three days later. Very unprofessional, if you're sick and have a paper prescription drop off I would never go here, lack of empathy towards their patients and their health. I mistakenly signed up at this location for a vaccination. The pharmacy staff is slower than molasses running out of a jar in the winter. None of them were from professional from the pharmacist to the pharmacy technician. While I get that people have to learn what they're doing but none of them knew what they were doing. When scheduling online you're sent a confirmation email which also has a link to download and print a form to complete before arrival. My appointment was at 9:30am. I arrived at 9:11am. There's a line for people dropping off and picking up prescriptions and another line for people getting vaccinations. It's not clear. Despite 8 staff members working, they took their time helping 7 of us in line. When I finally get to the counter, the person never read the form nor asked me why I was here and/or which vaccination I was getting. The person's native language definitely wasn't English and she was lost trying to help people constantly asking another pharmacy technician for help. This meant two of us were being held up. Being that I scheduled an appointment and it says to arrive 10 minutes prior to appointment and if you're late, they can and/or will cancel you if they choose to do so. Well, this pharmacy technician put me in for a COVID-19 vaccination & asked for my insurance card. Now, let's stop right there. COVID-19 vaccinations are free and your insurance doesn't need to be used. It was declined by my health insurance. That's when Miss I Don't Know What I Am Doing asked for help from another pharmacy technician. That pharmacy technician after trying to figure out what was going on in the system finally decided to ask which vaccination I was there for. I told her and pointed out on the form that was already completed on the form that they both failed to read. Then, the technician that had no idea what to do was told to delete everything she entered in the system and to enter the correct information. Here we go, she basically deleted out every thing line by line and then entered the correct information. Walgreens has an antiquated system as there are quicker ways to do this if you have updated software on your computer. It's 2022 folks, get your systems updated. Now, here we go with the pharmacist asking me ALL the same information that was on the form. At this location, the pharmacy technician gives vaccinations. That's a big red flag!!! The pharmacy technicians aren't certified. If they are certified it doesn't show on their name tag like it should and does at pharmacy locations throughout the country. The person ahead of me had a 9am appointment. It was well after 10am when we both left. She and I both were late for work due to your staff not doing their job properly. I now see why many Walgreens pharmacies get sued for giving the wrong medication to people who get sick and almost die. Yes, I get mistakes happen but the Walgreens staff doesn't learn from their mistakes. The district manager needs to take a deep dive in to what is being done at this location. Better yet, the regional manager needs to reprimanded, up to and including termination, the district manager and ALL (yes I said all). You all are playing with people's lives. I noticed staff in the store wearing soiled masks. This shouldn't be happening. If you are looking for the free N95 masks being provided by the government, they're not here and won't be at this location. Channel 8 news says any Walgreens location. You all need to get that straight too. I will NEVER recommend anyone go to this location unless they're ready to die. Going to this pharmacy is like you're committing suicide. Someone is going to get sick and/or die using this pharmacy unless someone from corporate comes in and and replaces the staff with some staff that is knowledgeable. Since the pharmacy staff won't provide their full names, you can't report the pharmacist to the board that licensed them. At this point, do NOT come here. I called yesterday at noon to refil my medication needed for nighttime, the gentleman informed me it would be ready in a couple of hours. The day was busy and I realized at 6 pm I needed to call.... again. I was told the new pharmacy manager would not fill two drugs in the same drug class even though they are entirely for two different conditions?? The pharmacy manager had this prescription of mine for a week without calling to inform me of " her" new rule. I have used this pharmacy for over two years and it's always a nightmare. None of my medications are new, neither is my doctor. When I called at 6 pm the pharmacist on duty told me she couldn't do anything to get my evening medication to me and I would have to wait until the morning. My doctors office was already closed. Had this new manager contacted her patient I would have contacted my doctor and had my rx sent to a different pharmacy. This is the most incompetent pharmacy I have ever used in my lifetime of needing prescriptions. I have contacted customer care and I intend to call the cooperative office as well as my insurance company to let them know I was denied my medication without being told until it was too late to contact my doctor. read more

I'm a diabetic with severe foot issues and had to get some burn cream asap and while the Walgreens App messed up, Jeremy at the store listened to my complaints (I never made it personal and get it professional) and he was courteous and patient with me and by half way through, he had calmed me down. do not recommend you pick up your medication here. The more you will get sick because of the stress from the staffs. The Manager is cruel I came here to pick up my medicine and unfortunately the staffs at the pharmacy seems has no knowledge on how to access my insurance. Fast forward I ask for a help of the Manager of the store and she went inside the pharmacy. She came back to me and she told me that the Mucinex the doctor did not sign it. I said she to because it's over the counter. To my surprise she suddenly told me that I am rude. What is rude about me telling her that the Mucinex is OTC? I left without my medicine.. When you are dealing with a customer who is sick with flu of Course the customer is not feeling well and you as a store Manager should be more understandable and not giving name calling to the customer. I always have a positive experience at this location. I've been utilizing the pharmacy and photo here for almost five years. I recently went in for my passport photo and was in and out in ten mins. My photos and holiday cards are always well printed. My scripts are filled in a reasonable amount of time, the staff is friendly and informative, and no one ever appears to "not be working" - they're busy little bees back there! I wish the pharmacy drive through was more efficient, but from seeing what happens on the other side of the window when I pickup inside, I think it's more a customer issue then a staffing issue (I.e. people arguing about pricing, asking for over the counters that they need to come in for, etc.) Love this location. Don't come here if you're a diabetic to get your insulin filled. The staff will just make changes to your prescription to try and force you to ration insulin. Someone is going to die due to this pharmacy's incompetence. This has happened over and over with my wife at this store... Hopefully the store or district manager will do something this time.... I've called several times to file complaints. Yet they never seem to be taken seriously.
