I frequently visited this Publix when I lived in the Champions Gate area of Florida. The deli at this Publix will blow you away with their utterly delicious fresh from the deli subs, they cut their meat fresh for their subs daily (and sometimes directly as requested by customers for custom orders) and they only use fresh daily baked bread from their bakery for the sub rolls. They offer an assortment of subs that you can choose from (for example I like the chicken cordon Blu sub), and you can choose to add or subtract anything from the subs on the list. You also have the option of customizing your own sub any way you wish! Public has a wonderful bakery as well. My all time favorite dessert is the Publix key lime pie. It is the best key lime pie that I've ever tasted. Publix doesn't stop there, next they will take your breath away with their jaw dropping beautiful wedding cakes. Publix hires only the very best cake decorators for their stores. These true works of art are also very tasty as well! I could go on and on about the many ways that I love Publix! I actually lived in Silicon Valley, CA for a period of time, and during that time, I would talk to everyone I knew about how amazing Publix grocery stores were. I truly wish that Publix would expand to provide their services to the West coast. The associates at this Publix are all very kind, knowledgeable, accommodating, professional, and respectful. You can tell that they care about the company that they work for and that they care for their customers as well. It goes without saying that I highly recommend this Publix!

I pointed out the damage to staff and asked whether they could offer a discount given the condition of the product. I was told they would only sell it at full price. Since there were no other grills available, I left without making a purchase. What concerned me most was that the damaged grill remained on the sales floor and continued to be offered for sale. Afterward, I contacted the company to share my concerns and give them an opportunity to address the situation. Unfortunately, I never received a response--not even a simple acknowledgment that my message had been received. I understand that inventory issues happen, but I was disappointed by both the decision to sell damaged merchandise at full price and the complete lack of follow-up afterward. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this business.

The sub was generously filled with brisket, and the standard toppings included BBQ sauce and toasted onions. I added three pepper cheese slices, which were toasted until the cheese melted. Overall, I enjoyed my sub.

Publix at Avalon Rd / Lakeside Village ()…read more This Publix location hits all the marks for me -- and earns the full five stars. It's got that signature Publix friendliness, but with a few extra perks. The layout here is different from other stores, and honestly, it makes shopping kind of fun. The space feels more open, almost like a "deluxe" Publix, and there's even a second-level break area for employees -- love seeing a store that takes care of its team like that. Most importantly for me: self-checkout. YES. A total win for grocery runs when I want to get in, grab what I need, and head out. Like every Publix, the fresh produce, deli, and grab-and-go items are great. I'm a big fan of their salad kits and fruit here too -- it's become our go-to spot for those "midweek restock" essentials. If you're debating between Publix locations nearby, this one is a great experience -- efficient, clean, and a little more modern-feeling than some others. It's officially my preferred Publix in the area.

What I did appreciate about this location is that they had a large selection of jewelry especially Betsy Johnson. Her fun holiday jewelry is always a must for me and they had a great selection.

I must say that I am enjoying the benefits of Walmart Plus shipping and pickup services. I now use…read morethe Walmart application to get any groceries or other items we need in advance. Walmart Plus members get free delivery (35 minimum spend) and shipping (no minimum spend) like Amazon Prime. I have been able to buy certain products and get them shipped in the same day. They come on time and with care. For pickup, this store has a separate area where you park in the back, check in, and a staff member comes to deliver directly to your car. He scans your receipt, scans the items, and places it right on your trunk or back seat area. All are delivered quickly and with great service. Some groceries can be a hit or miss like the vegetables because you aren't inside to shop yourself. However, just like Publix, tipping is not expected for shipping and pickup option, nor do I believe it is allowed. I think only for grocery delivery option where they use a third party to deliver them faster is the only option when you can tip. Honestly, I am happy I have Walmart plus to take advantage of pickup, shipping, and delivery benefits that either cost less money or is free for me. It makes my shopping much easier or more convenient at this store. Overall: B+
