I attempted to purchase some wine at the Kent Walgreens. When the manager rang it up, he asked for my id, so I gave it to him. He then scanned it and proceeded to ask the girl in front of me for her id as well because I was talking to her and it appeared to him that she was "with" me because we were talking. He then refused to sell me the wine, which is ludicrous because the girl in front of me had nothing to do with my transaction and never touched the wine. I argued politely and he told me that it is the law that they id everyone who is "with" the person who is buying alcohol. I have read over the alcohol laws in Ohio and there is ABSOLUTELY no law of that nature. Regardless of whether that girl was "with" me or not, the store should not have any right to demand her id if she is not paying for or touching the alcohol. It might be a Walgreens policy (or the policy of that particular employee) - however the employee felt the need to lie to me and say it is the law. I have never had this problem in the past and have bought alcohol hundreds of times at hundreds of different establishments. I can only imagine that this store doesn't refuse to sell alcohol to any customer who walks in the store with their child. That being the case, I feel that I was unfairly discriminated against. I will not be ever purchasing another item from Walgreens again and I will encourage anyone I know to do the same. read more

Good selection of items, clean & well organized store. They even have a decent selection of grocery items here as well. Friendly staff. Sometimes I need to go across the street to CVS when I can't find a more obscure item, but rarely. read more

Im not writing this review for any other reason but to inform other customers about the one bad seed that works in pharmacy. I enjoy the entire staff at this Walgreens as I frequently shop there, however there's a pharmacist that has given me no other choice but to transfer my medications. Let's call her 'B' since that's what her 1st name begins with. So about 5 months ago I called for a refill on a medication and she said it was just filled 2 weeks ago, TWICE. I said, "Excuse me?" She repeated herself but the bottle I had had a completely different date on it and she then said, "I'll only do this one time." In her holier than thou voice so I told her I'd swing by in 20 minutes with the empty bottle I had. She told me again, "I shouldn't do this!" So I gave her the bottle I had, which they didn't even have a date for in their system and she got very quiet. Idk how it was done but she actually DID refill that prescription twice but there was no signature with either and I've always asked there to be one. Here is where I made the biggest mistake because I really don't like confrontation and I'm also too trusting. She apologized to me and then asked if I wanted the bottle back or if she could just throw it away. I told her to just throw it away. Since that day she's either overfilled or severely under filled several prescriptions including my blood pressure medication! My doctors office even told me I should have 2 extra refills that I never received. I do not take any narcotics, thank God, but even so if you abruptly discontinue certain medications there can be some pretty severe side effects to that! I only live about a block away but because of her antics I have to switch to another pharmacy which is a damn shame. I've "heard" other people have had a hard time with the same person so I feel as if this review is necessary to cover someone else's behind since I wasn't proactive enough to speak up before now. read more

I stopped in to use the (women's) restroom at this specific location (Kent OH) and it was deplorable. I never feel the need to criticize the workers of any establishment but it was obvious that nobody has EVER wiped anything down in that restroom. There was urine and feces all over the seats, I had to scrub off someone else's feces in order to use the toilet (emergency). There were mystery streaks down the outside of the bowl, a festering petri dish of horror creeping out from under the front of the seat, the porcelain of the sinks was GRAY from years of neglect, and there was a grimy film on everything in sight. I am shocked that there was even soap or toilet paper. PLEASE resolve this IMMUNE SYSTEM THREAT. I wouldn't even expect conditions like that from a porta potty and you are a HEALTH AND WELLNESS BUSINESS. read more

I handed the cashier my Walgreens card but it had gotten stuck to my Sheetz card. she pulled them apart and scanned my card, but when she handed them back to me she stuck them back together, assuming I'd done it on purpose and that's the way I wanted them. that's what I call customer service. read more
