I've visited this location a few times now, and overall, I've gotten the impression that some of the employees don't particularly enjoy their jobs. At times, interactions have felt a bit rushed or as though assisting customers is more of an inconvenience than a priority. That said, during my most recent visit, I had a completely different experience that truly stood out. I was searching for a specific item and couldn't find it, so I asked an employee who was in the middle of stocking shelves for help. Instead of just pointing me in the right direction, she walked me over to the exact spot and showed me the product herself. She went even further by offering helpful advice, sharing that a family member had used the pre-surgical cleanser and accidentally ruined a washcloth, so she recommended using an older one. It was such a thoughtful and genuine moment of care, and I really appreciated her going the extra mile. I made sure to check her name badge so I could recognize her here. Her name was Nicole. I'm hopeful that more of the team can take a page from Nicole's approach. That level of attentiveness and kindness truly makes a difference in the customer experience. read more

This Walgreens pharmacy continues to be one of the most understaffed and efficient pharmacy in Alabama. Long waits to pick up medications and getting prescriptions re-prescribed. It's a nightmare. Expect 25-35 minute waits regardless if it's drive through or walk in service. read more

Absolutely the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. They send you a text that your prescription is ready and you go to pick it up and it is not. Very rude customer service. They look like they are always understaffed. I just went up there to pickup a prescription for my wife and they gave me a prescription that we cancelled online. Too slow. Drive thru is ridiculous. Always a 10-15 min wait in the drive thru. Always have to hold on phone calls.

This Walgreens already struggles in the pharmacy and they need to implement a policy that if you are a problem customer you must circle around and come inside. Waiting 20 minutes behind someone is so frustrating when you have instant pay and will take 3 seconds to pick up. read more

I have new insurance. I entered the new insurance online. First prescription on the new insurance requested. I get a message, insurance issue, call us. I call. They tell me my gender or date of birth must be wrong. I ask what insurance are you submitting it to? No answer to this simple straight forward question for the remainder of the call. They say AARP, nope. You're retired from the state right, nope. They start reading a number, nope. I ask why can't I just give you the information (as they requested in the message above). In the end they ask for the number to call on my insurance card. They promise to call back. I log on to my insurance. They say the prescription has already been approved! Still no response. Easily the most dysfunctional phone call I have ever had with anyone. read more

This particular Walgreens pharmacy has a service problem. Their service slowdown began 1Q2023, and it was noticeable when compared with their history. The problem could be local only or it could be corporate wide, I do not know. What I experience with this store is that their fulfillment of prescriptions is inconsistent: mostly a 48-hour turnaround but sometimes weekly. I know...giving a 5 star review to Walgreens may seem like a stretch, but I'll make my case for it. Lol! My review is based on my experience at the Walgreens I frequent the most, which is located on the corner of Hwy 150 and Ross Bridge Pkwy. I'm at this location at least once a week because of the convenience. If I need a snack to go in my kids' lunch, I'll stop here. If I need nail polish remover so I can take off my worn out polish, I'll stop in here. If my kids need batteries for their game controllers, I'll stop here. Basically, Walgreens is a great place for me to run in and get one item that I suddenly discover that I need, but don't feel like driving to Target or Walmart. I also like that every time I come in the store, the person at the front says, "Welcome to Walgreens". I noticed this location hires adults with disabilities and I think it's great that Walgreens is giving this opportunity to members of our community. Walgreens also donates a portion of the proceeds from vitamin purchase to charities that they support, which is why I always try to buy my family's vitamins from here. Walgreens is good about having BOGO sales on vitamins so it makes it easy for me to almost exclusively buy my vitamins from them. Walgreens is also my choice to fill my prescriptions. The pharmacy staff is great about answering any questions that I have had about the prescriptions and generally, I don't have to wait too long for my prescriptions to be ready. All in all, the Walgreens I frequent has what I need and the service is great so I couldn't give this location anything less than 5 stars. read more

I've been in this location a few times, and it's usually looking for something particular. Overall this location is just like all the other Walgreen locations (as well as the other brand of store that is similar). This location, like all others, is well stocked and has plenty of variety (food, meds, make up, seasonal items, vitamins, cleaning supplies (house and human), etc. Really my two issues with these types of stores is that prices are really high. You have to have a membership (granted it costs nothing), but still you have to have this, then they discount items. Seems like it would just be simpler to give customers the best price and be done with it. Staff at this location are friendly and helpful in all of the departments. The other advantage, as other Yelp reviewers have pointed out, is that it's easy to get in and out quick unlike Walmart and Target. read more

It would be difficult to say what separates one chain drug store from the next, so I'll do my best to explain why this one is good. The location is very convenient. It's located on a corner at an intersection. There are multiple entry points. I'll often go here instead of to the big grocery store across the block, just because of the easy access. The employees are always friendly. This means a lot to me. I've found that they have more store brands than I've found at other chains. I'm a store brand kind of guy. So there you go. This used to be the perfect pharmacy for us! We live close by and pass it everyday! I don't know what has happened in last 30-60 days but service has gone down hill!! You wait forever to pick up meds, then order isn't correct. You point out you were notified by text and app that it's ready and they tell you that it's incorrect and you should call. Then you call and you can't talk to anyone and have to wait on hold for 10 minutes. Then when you get to Brian Harris the store manager he makes excuses and complains about number of calls keeping staff busy and they can't do other stuff. All they will say is "sorry it can be ready in a few hours". Then when you let Brian Harris know the level of service is unacceptable he tells you to call 1800 Walgreens and you get to wait on hold for another thirty minutes to talk to some person in another state. Bottom line.... Brian Harris refuses to acknowledge issues and isn't interested in returning to the level of service from a year or two years ago! Which by the way was definitely when Covid was a problem! This store needs better leadership! read more

Even though there is another Walgreens closer to my house, this seems to be my go-to for accessibility. It's always easier to get to because it's on my way home when running errands. The store is always clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. They seem to be consistently stocked up on everything that I'm looking for when I go in. No complaints at all! read more
