It is rather unremarkable in this respect. (3 stars) Service: Counterside. I've found the employees to be competent enough, and they are mostly long-term, so you can get to know them (I used to live in the Irish Channel a few blocks away and went here often then). The lines can get a little long, but it's because it's near the touristy part of Magazine, so there's a lot of foot traffic. (3 stars) Facilities: This location has been here a number of years (over a decade, at the very least). It is a clean, stand-alone brick building typical of this chain. There is off-street parking with access via Magazine and the side streets. The rear parking is somewhat shared with other storefronts on that block. The interior is neat. (3 stars) Overall: Nothing really special here other than location. It is quite convenient for both neighborhood folks and tourists alike. (3 stars)

Every other Walgreens pharmacy has been helpful. The only reason I didn't go after their chief pharmacists license with a pharmacist board complaint is that my dad had terminal cancer at the time so i had larger problems. I will use any other Walgreens. I will never use this one again. As a loyal Walgreens customer the lackluster staff and disgusting dishonesty by their chief pharmacist at the time this happened is a disservice to the Walgreens pharmacy staff at other locations, I who are honest and competent, unlike her, and don't try to abuse their position of trust with vulnerable folks (I have severe adhd and high functioning autism.). disabled folks and Neurodivergent folks should go to any other Walgreens location. The store staff there are nice but the pharmacy staff should've investigated or fired. The head pharmacist (assuming it's the same lady) in particular. I would give zero stars if that were an option

I always try to support local and so I was amazed that on a regular trip to my local pharmacy, I found out they sell all their products! They literally sell everything you need for a breastfeeding mommas! Nursing bras, belly bands, nipple cream, bibs, prenatals, really cool bottle brush cleaner! ...this would be an awesome place to find a gift for someone you know that's expecting now that I'm thinking about it! As always, their staff is so nice and helpful. This is not a paid endorsement. Lol. I just literally freaked when I saw they were selling Legendairy Milk because I was not able to find it locally in a store. Until now! :)

They offer all the standard items of convenience stores from snacks, drinks, lottery in addition to household basics, medicines and of course, souvenirs and NOLA specific goods. The store needs some TLC conditionally, and a little bit more attention to cleanliness wouldn't hurt. Service was super friendly and welcoming, which was a redeeming quality for this location. Overall, solid 3.5, but the cashier really made our day. We wandered in for a soda and drink, and got what we were after, but if we needed more than that, we would probably go elsewhere due to price point. But again, this spot came in clutch when needed.

Staff was friendly - even during odd hours of the night - "You have no toiletries?" (Clearly she knew we were tourists.) We explained the whole missing bags thing to clear that up. They had everything we needed - clothes included - because who knows how long before our bags get delivered! Prices were reasonable - none of the tourists rates some places charge. What made it better is that it was only a couple of blocks away from our hotel. We returned a couple more times during the week for more basic stuff - mostly snacks, water and other rehydrating drinks. What I mostly appreciated is how conveniently located it is. In the situation we were in, we were grateful for it being where it is!

I found a simple snack in the produce section, but took a stroll to check out the Walmart as a whole (since I had the time to burn). I had previously asked if I could leave my basket near the register while I drove home to retrieve it, and an associate kindly said I could leave it there for about 20 minutes -- the time it would take for me to return home and back. As I walked back to my car, I checked for any cash and found only $10. When I returned to the store, I let the associate know that I would put back some of the frozen and cold items and would leave and come back later to complete my purchase. I recently moved to New Orleans and usually keep a credit card in my car specifically for Walmart trips, but not this time. That's when Floor Manager, Erin, stepped in... she overheard the conversation and said, "wait...we can figure this out so you don't have to leave and come back." I was both surprised and incredibly grateful. Erin asked if I knew my card number, and when I said yes, she guided me through downloading the Walmart app step-by-step -- all while multitasking and assisting other associates with their questions and assigning employees to registers for employee breaks. We encountered an error with the app, but instead of giving up, Erin continued troubleshooting with me. She asked smart, specific questions, and eventually identified the problem: my credit card still had my old address. Once we updated it to reflect my new New Orleans address, everything worked perfectly. Erin even took me to a separate register to test the card with a small transaction -- and it was successful! I returned to a regular register to complete my full grocery purchase, but I won't forget Erin's kindness and professionalism. Please know that you have a permanent customer in me, and I'll always be looking for Erin to say a quick "hi" during my visits. As a retired executive, I can confidently say that Erin's dedication, patience, and problem-solving attitude were nothing short of outstanding. Her willingness to go above and beyond left a lasting impression on me. Bottom line: Erin is a fantastic employee, and you are lucky to have her on your team.
