The office is always welcoming and the staff is very professional, reassuring, and friendly. Since my first encounter, I've been back for more Botox, facial peels, laser treatments and filler. I even broke down and had permanent make-up on my brows, and eyeliner. At my last visit, I asked to see my photo from the first visit compared to now, and could not believe how much more youthful I looked! They tell me they can't work miracles, but I'm not so sure about that. It doesn't happen overnight, but people notice the change, even if they can't say exactly what it is. The exam was extremely cursory: they had me leave on my bra, underwear, wear a gown, and sit down in a chair. He did not check my scalp or anything covered by my bra or underwear. Additionally the doctor made erroneous and unsolicited statements about my diagnosed skin condition (morphea scleroderma). I had to wait for almost an hour before being seen for less than 10 minutes. I can't comment on how they are for cosmetic dermatology but they seem totally out of their element for actual medical concerns (skin cancer and other conditions). Go somewhere else

As I had a molar extraction before and found it a difficult procedure, I was prescribed valium and I was told I could pick it up at the pharmacy that day. At the pharmacy, I was told they hadn't received the prescription. The same thing happened after I called a second time. Two days before my extraction, I called to ask for it for the third time. This time I got it, but there were no instructions on the bottle on how and when to take it. I called the office to find out. My call was not returned until the day of the appointment, when they called to say they had forgotten to call me back. Not a problem, I took one an hour before. We left on time for the appointment (my husband was required to drive me) but encountered workers clearing cut trees from the road. We couldn't wait the 30 minutes they said it would take to clear the road, so we backtracked, which would mean arriving 20-30 minutes later to the appointment. I immediately called the office to let them know I would be a little late. I was told that it they could not do the extraction because of the delay. Understand, I had taken the day off, my husband had cleared his morning, I had drugged my self in preparation, and now they were telling me to forget it. This experience ruined my confidence in them and I am so disappointed that I intend to find a new dentist. My husband, also a patient at Cataloochee dental, was told that his crown work would be split between two dentists. He was uncomfortable with this plan to begin with, but after my experience, he too will take his business elsewhere.
