I had a very disappointing experience with Annette at the Walgreens pharmacy located at 500 Howdershell Rd. My concern was not simply that a coupon could not be applied, but the way the situation was handled. When I asked for assistance with a pharmacy coupon, Annette's attitude came across as dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of taking the time to explain the issue or provide guidance on what options were available, I felt like my request was treated as an inconvenience. Her tone and overall demeanor made the interaction feel unnecessarily frustrating. Customer service in a pharmacy setting is especially important because many customers are already dealing with medications, costs, and stressful situations. A little patience and willingness to help can make a significant difference. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling as though helping customers was not a priority and that she would rather not be there. I understand that policies and coupon restrictions exist, and I do not expect exceptions to be made. However, I do expect respectful communication and a genuine effort to assist. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works to ensure customers receive the professional and courteous service they deserve. You don't even have to explain why; you should just tell another worker to step up if you do not wish to do something. I believe I'll be taking my services elsewhere. The ironic part of this review is that even if I leave, it doesn't fix things. They'll just give a slap on the wrist and be done for the day. read more

rmacy is the worst. So Slow with refills, which can be awful when you're coming from urgent care or something and need a medication asap. The worst thing so far was after waiting two weeks for a medication to come in and taking a half (and thus less effective) dose in the meantime to get through (which isn't necessarily their fault), upon receiving and filling it, they didn't call. I happened to stop in a few days after it was supposedly filled to check on it. They told me it was ready, went to grab it, and... it wasn't where it was supposed to be. I waited for 20 minutes while they scrambled around looking for where they could have put it. After this time I asked if there was anyway they could just fill it again and put the original one back if they found it, and they told me that was against federal law as it's a controlled substance. Even though this is all their fault. How hard is the ALPHABET?? Finally I gave up because I had to be somewhere and asked if they could call me when they found it. They said they would. That was three days ago. I am going to run out and go through withdrawal. I called yesterday and they were randomly closed during business hours. I'm trying to call now, but because they are probably so behind for everyone it is impossible to get through. 0/10 I will no longer send prescriptions to this awful location. Edit: It got even worse! I was just on hold with them for 30 minutes before I finally got through. The woman on the phone told me the medication was ready. I said "yes, I was told it was ready before, but your staff lost it and couldn't find it. Can you get eyes on it so I know it's actually going to be there for me when I come in this time?" She said hold on, put me on hold for 5 more minutes, THEN HUNG UP ON ME! Horrible. read more

This is the last time I'm going to subject myself to such incredible rudeness and slow slow checkout. No one greeted me when I came in. No one said thank you for shopping at Walgreens. They totally ignored me and it was just a eyes on the counter. No looking at the client. Very impersonal. Just plain rude. I see that this location has a 1.4 star rating. The reviews here state that this is a very poorly run location. The frustrating thing is I live right across the street and it's the closest Walgreens. I'm not going back. I will drive to Saint Charles where employees are decent, friendly and appreciate customers. Even though I live in Florissant off Howdershell I will make the 20 minute drive to St Charles for decent employees. The face of Walgreens at this Howdershell location is horrible. Does the regional manager ever read the terrible reviews on Yelp?! Maybe management doesn't care either! read more

Most of the staff here are quite rude, there is only 1 male manager that has been super helpful to me on more than one occasion (I'm sorry I don't remember his name). Unfortunately, his kindness doesn't make up for the rudeness of the rest of the staff. Like a fool, hoping each next time will be better, I've put in multiple online orders here which are delayed every single time.. by hours. I'm not sure why, I've never been to this location and it be so extremely busy that they can't have someone completing online orders. When I call I am usually hung up on and have to make multiple follow up calls. I hate that this location is so close to my house, the convenience is what makes me come back, definitely not the customer service read more

After being told the the pharmacy was closed they told me to go to another store located in Hazelwood Mo, when I arrived there was a sign on the door saying the pharmacy is closed indefinitely. So I drove to the nest store in Florissant and they could not find my prescription and for me to go back to the Howershell store. I drove back to the store told the manager my problem, she said she could not help me as she had no control of the pharmacy staff but I should call the phone number listed on the receipt which I did. The person on the phone could hardly speak English so I asked her what country she was located, she told me she is at a call center in the Philippines, had no idea what to do so I hung up. Now I will go to CVS in the future. read more

I have been patient with this location for a long time because I know staffing is an issue everywhere. But today was the last straw, had a vaccine appt for me and my son. Go to check in and she tells me rudely they cancelled all appts due to staffing issues. I did not get any notice of this and as of now it even says I have an appointment. read more

I have sent this complaint to the Missouri Board of Pharmacy and to Walgreens corporate: On Thursday, March 9th, I went to the Walgreens Pharmacy at 1705 Shackelford, Florissant, MO 63031 (unfortunately I was unable to get the names of the Pharmacist or Pharmacy Techs) to get my meds (see below for Rx info) that I get every month on the 9th, and was told that I couldn't have one because it was too early. When I objected, the way that I was treated by the employees was completely unacceptable. I was accosted by the Pharmacist and both Techs, and called a racial slur by the Pharmacist herself, which triggered an episode where I blacked out and lost control. I have SEVERE anxiety, stress, and rage management issues, as well as borderline personality disorder, and these three girls were rude and disrespectful, and immediately escalated the situation. I cannot have that happen again, and the best way to insure that is to not put myself in that situation where they can do that to me again, so I have transferred my Rxs to CVS Pharmacy, where they actually know AND practice customer service skills. I was able to have two of them transferred, but they are basically holding my meds hostage, they won't transfer it, and won't let me or someone in my family pick up the Rx that the Dr. called in. Also, something needs to be done about the racial comment which was "You can leave now white boy". First of all, it is absolutely disgusting that I have to deal with people in charge of my healthcare and wellbeing that are open bigots, this is 2023, can we finally get past the whole race thing please? Second, I'm not even white, I am PROUD Blackfoot and Cherokee Native American, which the Pharmacist extra ignorant. They also canceled my Rxs, which is beyond uncalled for, so if I have any difficulties or episodes because I have to go through all the hoops of transferring my Rxs to CVS, I WILL BE CONTACTING MY ATTORNEY. I am cutting all ties with the Walgreens company, because I will not do business with a company that allows its employees to treat customers, no, patients the way that they do. read more

Slowest pharmacy ever. I went to pick up a prescription and tried to use drive thru since I had my dogs in the car as we were going out of town. Drive thru was inexplicably closed. I go inside to do the pick up. There were only 2 customers ahead of me yet I waited 20 minutes. There were 4 people behind the counter yet only one person helping people pick up prescriptions and she was on ultra slow mode. Not a single person could step up and help manage the line that had now grown. It's pathetic that this is the "go-to" location since the Lindbergh/Washington location was flooded. It's obvious they can't/don't want to handle the extra load. It's time to move to Debbie's Pharmacy. read more

Whenever I come to pick up my prescription from the drive through there always seems to be a problem. Whether it's this one particular unfriendly, cold associate who actually told me "....k well I kind of need your name" when I told her I was there to pick up my prescription the very first time I came to pick it up, to the absolutely ridiculous wait time. I am currently sitting in the line and have been waiting around 10 minutes, give or take a minute or 2. There are 6 cars behind me waiting. I understand that covid has changed everything in this world, but this Walgreens seems to be having a hard time adjusting. read more

The better of the 2 locations on Howdershell/Shackelford. A little brighter and maybe cleaner, I find the checkout to be much more efficient than the one down the street, and they don't mind opening another register when things get backed up. read more
