Visit the store yesterday to pick up prescription using the drive-thru. When I drove up, I was never acknowledged and waited for a pharmacy tech. Once Respina arrived at the window, still no greeting. Ask my name and when I communicated my name she said " say again" rather than, please repeat the spelling. She was extremely rude, seems as though she was having a bad morning. I have been ill for the past week the last thing I need is someone with an attitude when I am trying to pick up 2 prescription that are already filled. If me showing up to Walgreens is a problem for her requesting minimal service maybe staying home or choosing another professional may have been a better option for Respina. Who knows someone on Walgreen's leadership team? 3/11/26 Picked up my sister's sleeping pill RX at the Walgreen's on Chesterfield Pkwy around 5:30pm today. Tech said that I could not get refill as it was not authorized. I assured her Dr had called it in and authorized it for pick up today. She checked and said yes that is correct but the pharmacist said she could not have it. I waited and the pharmacist came to the drive up window and said that although the doctor had authorized the pick up today, my sister has a habit of getting this refill 2-3 days early. I said yes the Dr is aware and he is comfortable that she can have the script and authorized it for pick up. The pharmacist said she would personally need to talk with the dr and make sure he knew that he authorized the pick up it was 2 days before normal. Again this is at 5:30pm today. The pharmacist said the doctor had to personally call her. My sister is leaving for spring break. This is a sleeping pill. So, no sleeping pill for my sis tonight. Who can I talk with at Walgreens? I am beyond disappointed with the level of care and service that was provided to my sister. This pharmacist could have given her the needed medicine that the DOCTOR AUTHORIZED and let her know next time she needed to PERSONALLY talk with the doctor. Seriously? It's been 24 hours since they received my prescription. They received the prescription on Friday around noon. When I called, 24 hours later they said that it would be there on Monday. So 72 hours after they received the prescription. This is the second time I've had real issues with them. They send the prescriptions out to some central location. They don't tell you that the prescription is going to be delayed. They just assume you can wait for it for a few days. When I called the pharmacist she said that she could go ahead and fill it within a half an hour so they have the drugs there. And to top it off, she was rude because I couldn't wait till Monday. They choose to inconvenience their customers. I will be moving my prescriptions to CVS or something else. read more

These 5 stars belong to one person and I am embarrassed to say I forgot her name! I think it was Dia? I will edit once I find out! This was the third walgreens I visited because I needed aquaphor. They have a deal going on for a pack of 2 and it's 2/$15 so I wanted to snag that deal. Aquaphor is the ONLY chapstick that works for me. Everything else makes my lips peel or crack and I'm pretty frugal so I wanted to save wherever I could. Unfortunately, I could only find ONE two pack. I was desperate and searching around the store for another one, but to no avail. I ended up going to the cash register and asked her if there was another display that might have more in stock. She asked if I checked the other display by beauty and I did, but nothing. She said unfortunately there was no place else. I gave up, but I told her I understood and it was okay. But she filled me in on what walgreens usually does when they get in more stock and to check back then. When she scanned the item, it didn't display the deal I was referring to so she asked me where I saw it. I pulled out my phone to show her my app and she was like "ohhh, I see." she asked to see my phone to look around and said that when the other pairing of a deal is missing, they will honor half of it. SO GRATEFUL FOR THE INFORMATION! SO GRATEFUL FOR HER! My lips were in so much pain so it seriously made my day! I also had a lot of rewards and ending up owning only $1! What a steal! Actually, come to think of it, Pharmacy could run a bite more efficiently. i signed up for text reminders a while ago yet I still have to call them to check the status of my scripts. Also, the service in Pharmacy severely lacks personalty but again,it is Walgreens. Although this is a dated location, what keeps me coming back is the fact that the store is not only well kept but well stocked store with all the essentials. My husband and I (who are 84 and 73 years old) went to this Walgreens last night at 6 PM for our RSV vaccine appointments. During the hour and a half wait, we witnessed long lines at the pharmacy during the entire time we waited. The 2 staff members were trying their very best to provide kind and competent service but were totally overwhelmed. It was obvious that they were severely short staffed and got absolutely no support from management. A manager never came to check on the area or to help them. It felt like we were in a 3rd world country with long lines and severely abused staff and customers having to witness the exhaustion and anguish they were enduring. It is not the kind of service any reasonable person would expect when paying $600 for 2 vaccines. To watch sick people waiting in long lines for their medications was not a pleasant experience. Our wait was further exacerbated by delays in processing our insurance information and by running out of forms that needed to be completed. We were instructed to call my husband's insurance company (which hasn't changed in years) on my cell phone to get information needed for authorization. He is hard of hearing and can't talk on the phone so the insurance company would not give me the information. Luckily the kind staff member was finally able to find the authorization information on one of the pharmacy computers. Then we had to complete forms that we had already completed on-line the day before because the computer was unable to process them. The 2 staff members were incredibly kind and kept apologizing for the delays. You could see the extreme stress and anguish in their eyes. It was a most difficult and anger inducing experience for us. CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) has concerns about this difficult vaccination process, especially for the elderly. This vaccination process is most unfortunate and needs immediate attention and corrections to streamline the process and make it less cumbersome for the elderly. As bad as it was for us, we were more concerned for the abused staff members. Walgreens needs to correct its staffing shortages as soon as possible and hire managers that help and support their staff. In Walgreen's defense, CVS in this area has suspended their vaccine program due to "poor staffing". So at least Walgreens is willing to continue to provide vaccines even though the process is cumbersome and wait times are long. We do not in any way blame the staff as they were most kind and competent as they struggled to deal with a broken system. read more

2 times this week 8/12/19, I have been handed the wrong medication by this store. What they are handing me does not match what I've been prescribed. I always check it before I leave because I've learned that I need to. I urge you to check your medications as well. It's really a dangerous situation. I've kinda gotten into this Balance Rewards thing. Every time I go, I can get a $5 discount on my entire purchase, or $10 or $20, depending upon what's in my "bank". What's more, you can enroll in the Beauty Club, which offers additional rewards. Amazingly, the Beauty Club includes toothpaste, mouthwash, nail polish, hair products, face products . . . kinda a lot of things for a Beauty Club. 'Cause I ain't no beauty. The lady in the cosmetic department is extremely helpful, and she can check you out. Last visit, May 8, I was on the search for Melatonin. My sister had given me the last of her bottle to try. And it worked for me, because my prescribed sleep aid wasn't quite cutting it. Found it. Bought it . . . along with other things. And I got a Balance Rewards discount. read more

Sigh....The reciept says, "How are we doing?" so I decided to answer the question in a Yelp review. I'm kind with the 2 stars. Found it with Mr. Garmin directing me. Parking was fair. Went inside, expecting a bit better. I mean, all I needed was an eyeliner sharpener, and a beer bottle opener. How hard is that? It's not clean. Not like the Walgreens I normally shop. It didn't feel clean, either. It felt mediocre. Mediocre beyond words. I knew where the sharpeners were. Near the eyeliner, but I had a hell of a time finding the damn thing. All make up brands carry them. They aren't hard to find if your store carries the make up. That is IF your store carries the makeup, and Walgreens does. But this one isn't that selective, I guess. I'm comparing this one to what I know. This Walgreens doesn't carry that much make up, best passing it up for Sephoras or Target. If I knew where a Target was, I would've gone to it. Walgreens is close to my hotel. I finally found a sharpener, (without eyeliner included, just a sharpener, by itself.). I looked for a beer cap opener. One aisle was completely void of anything on the shelves on the left side, but on the right side was full of crappy household items, and a lousy beer cap opener, that I didn't like. I thought about going to Schnucks, but looked around a bit more. I went down another aisle, with wine-(only one tiny area, and countable amount of bottles. Yuck, I can only imagine how awful it is.) There sat a bottle opener, that I can tuck in my makeup bag for emergencies. I stood in line to pay for it. The cashier had to LOOK at the receipt to make sure it was mine. She read the receipt,, before handing me my change. I had given her a 20. Dullness indeed. Not going back there. read more

The worst Walgreens pharmacy I have ever been to! I've tried picking up prescriptions on 2 different occasions and had issues both times. The first time, they couldn't find anything under my name. After pulling up my confirmation emails on my phone and telling them that I have 3 to pick up; they finally found 2 of them. I had to wait another 5 minutes for them to find the 3rd. This second (and last!) time they couldn't find my prescriptions again. I just said "forget it. I won't be back". The guy that works the window (same guy both times) is so void of personality (making him seem unfriendly and unsympathetic) that it's hard to deal with him anyways. I do not recommend using this location; which is a shame because it's on the way home from work. I may be switching from Walgreens altogether. read more

They are the worst! They send you a reminder yet they deny because they said my doctor either denied or does not know who I am. This review is specific to the Take Care clinic; I did not interact with any of the Walgreen's staff or buy anything while I was here. Took Teen 2 in for a Tdap booster for 8th grade. The school had me over a barrel because our primary care does not offer these and she was supposed to start school the next day. So I left work early and took her here, thinking it would be $15 or $20 like our allergy or flu shots. WRONG! First of all, there was one woman working and they were on a FIFO system. Which sucked for us because we waited over an hour for a two-minute shot. When it was finally our turn, she asked us about insurance and informed us that she could not submit to our insurance. Yay. She was pretty friendly to Teen 2 and snuck the shot in her without her even noticing really. Then came the bill - $64!!! I was floored! We paid and left. On the way to the car i noticed that I left my car key in the exam room. I asked some people waiting if she had someone in with her and they said no. When I knocked on the door, it took her quite a while to answer and she was alone in the room. Not sure what she was doing in there but there were several people waiting. I gave an extra star because she was nice and gave Teen 2 a pain-free shot, but I would go to great lengths to avoid returning here. read more

If I could rate negative numbers, I would. We ordered Christmas cards on Dec 5, personalized with pictures. These were to be delivered to this Walgreens over a week ago. Today they called and said our order was ready for pickup. These were ordered and paid for online at the Walgreens website. We went to pick up and were given an empty envelope! Not the 40 picture cards. The clerk at the photo dept was shocked when we openedthe envelope and has to get a higher up. The person in charge was a pharmacy technician who said there was nothing they could do, no refund, not anything. All we could do is call the Walgreens Corp office. She had to go find the number. Calling the Corp office got a call center most likely in the Philippines. Getting no satisfaction from that we asked for a supervisor. We have now waited over 20 minutes on hold for a supervisor. DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM Walgreens IF YOU HAVE ANY CHOICE. read more

I'm updating my review of Walgreens to drop their pharmacy to one star. I wish it could be zero. Congratulations, Walgreens. You're in elite company usually reserved for businesses that I felt scammed me out of money. In essence, you do. My time is money and you cause me to waste a lot of it. In my previous review, I mentioned the attitudes of employees. That hasn't changed. Everyone is still high strung, short tempered, muttering under their breath, and throwing shit around. Apparently, the revolving door of pharmacy technicians has resulted in an increase in errors and misinformation. Just in the last few weeks, I was told a prescription had no refills. When I insisted that it did, I was told I was wrong and that a new prescription was needed. After a call to management, the original prescription was retrieved and it had been entered into the computer incorrectly. I received no apology for the 1-2 hours of back and forth. Just a few days ago, I requested a refill on some migraine medicine. It was originally written for the brand. Walgreens asked if I wanted a generic and it was OK'd. After using it, the generic didn't seem to be as effective as the brand. For the following refill, I requested the brand name again. I was told no. That it isn't possible and I'd need a new prescription. Once again, a call to management and magically it was filled with the brand name. It seems like the answer to every question is either 'no', an eye roll, or a disgusted sigh. No one ever offers to call your doctor, either. Or asks you if you're out of medicine when they're incorrectly telling me I'm out of refills. They seem to not care and it really shows. read more

Four months ago the computer most likely for cost cutting defaults to generic. Our insurance requires this med to be brand name. I get it. I am not perfect. I calmly explained this when I dropped it off and still the staff messed up. I arrived and explained it and was told the pharmacist had to review it. 30 minutes later they brought the med to the counter for full insurance cost. I said no it is $35. I stopped sending my prescriptions to Walgreens years ago for the reason noted in this review. However, I have been picking up friends' medications for sometime and even though I am no longer a customer the problem with this Walgreens location is shared by every store of this brand I have visited in the last 5 years. That includes 4 in the St. Louis area and 3 in the Kansas City area. The problem is the fact their pharmacies are terribly understaffed. My common experience in going to Walgreens is the incredible wait time to place and to pick up a prescription. I note in many instances it is not the fact the pharmacists are lazy. They are either trained to be very slow (understandably they are filling prescriptions and care must be taken) or have no sense of customer service. Unlike Walgreen's competetors like CVS and Medicine Shoppe, they do not appear to use pharamacy techs or sales clerks to take the workload off of their pharmacists. I am sure this issue is a cost driven policy. I get that. I am just surprised the chain has been able to continue to operate like that. read more

This isn't just a review for this specific Walgreens; it actually is a general complaint for all Walgreens pharmacies in the West County area. Walgreens pharmacy fills prescriptions on automatic refill and them gives you an automated call to let you know it is ready. Unfortunately, they do not put their address on the message to advise where the prescription should be picked up but instead of letting you know a street address (as would make sense in a GPS era), they will tell you it is "at the NW corner of Big Bend and Old 141" and then do not leave a return phone number in case you don't know where that site is located. What?! Any cell phone will give you a phone number, right? Unfortunately if you call back the number that comes up on your cell phone, you don't get a usable phone number. As far as I am aware, no street address exists called Old 141 but I've only lived in Missouri for 7 years. Walgreens will call you again if you don't go through a scavenger hunt the figure out which pharmacy has your medication. However, the second time you are called, the automated system will let you know that you have a certain amount of time to come in or your prescription will be put back. Therefore, you either figure it out or you're out of luck. If you're like me, you drive to the pharmacy where you think you brought your prescription and hope that your refill is there. Unfortunately, since there are so many Walgreens locations, you might not be in luck. Tonight I drove just one too many times to the wrong Walgreens. I have spoken to 2 store managers who said they would pass the information on, but this is not been resolved for several months since my complaint. I've been a loyal Walgreens customer for many years, beyond filling 10 prescriptions a month also buying other items. However, now I will no longer shop there, since it has been made clear to me that customer service is not a priority. read more

Specific to the Take Care clinic. This place is always unreasonably slow. Ex: We had an appointment, arrived 10 minutes early, and still waited 45 minutes to be seen...and there was only one person "in line" ahead of us. Employees seemed completely uninterested in moving any faster. read more

This Walgreens down the street from my work so I stop by here often on my break or after my shift. I am giving 2 stars specifically because I consistently go through the same problems here. First, this place is constantly disorganized, I understand stock needs to be put away but here it seems like it never does! There is always stuff laying around and in the way. Next, there is never enough staff. The checkout process is dreadful. If your lucky enough to have someone actually tending the register you are probably the 5 person in line. There is almost no customer service and it seems there is no interest in giving any. Lastly, I would guess 80% of the time the advertised sales do not match what gets rung at the register. I feel I am constantly having to point out the inconsistencies in prices and there is times i am in a hurry i dont even bother. If you go here make sure you have plenty of time and watch your reciept! read more

Not sure how to review a Walgreens. It is just like any other pharmacy. The photo store is pretty good but they do mess up once in a while. Moreover, often the pickup queue is long and not well managed. However, there is no reason one shouldn't go there. read more

Every time I visit this pharmacy, I wait for Ashton Kutcher and a camera crew to jump out from hiding. I have used this pharmacy, inexplicably, for over seven years. In that time, I would estimate that I've made approximately 75 visits to this location for both my own and my children's various ailments. I would estimate than fewer than 10% of these visits have resulted in a smooth experience. I receive automated calls from Walgreens that my prescription is ready, only to show up and find out that in fact, it is not ready, and waiting on a doctor's pre-authorization, or they simply just didn't get it together in time. They have submitted a prescription for insurance and put the wrong child's name on it, despite it being written on the prescription, which caused me literally hours of time on the phone with the insurance company (UHC) to resolve. The staff are generally uninformed and unable to help. Nor is there any value placed on the customer's time, as evidenced by their slow responses and demeanor. They make the DMV look efficient. I realize that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, so clearly a large portion of the blame for my frustration with this place rests with me. read more
