Really a very badly run store they hire college kids who don't really care if you get your meds or not.why Walgreens exists is they forced out the professional people and got people for basically nothing. I canceled several prescriptions through Walgreens online service, as I had plenty and did not need them. Another person picked up what was supposed to be only what I needed, as I am disabled. What I got was ALL thr prescriptions, including the ones I canceled. It cost me $700, which I can't afford because I only have SSDI. I contacted Walgreens and was told too bad, they don't take back prescriptions, they don't know why the prescriptions didn't get canceled, and offered no other solutions or apology. They've officially lost my business and I will spread my story. read more

This is the WORST pharmacy!! Get your prescriptions filled anywhere else but here. The pharmacy staff is incredibly rude!!! After an insurance issue left us frustrated and aggravated, pharmacy tech Brandon aggressively yelled at my husband, escalating the situation from simple frustration to a yelling match. When my husband tried calmly filing a complaint with the pharmacy manager, Lora, she defended her employee and continued to berate my husband. My husband called me upset on the phone and I could hear the staff screaming at him unapologetically in the background. While my husband sat and waited for the situation to be resolved the staff continued to antagonize him, by giving him dirty looks, muttering under their breaths, and openly laughing at him. As he walked away Brandon muttered, "get the hell out of here buddy" while laughing. After my husband left, feeling anxious and humiliated, I called in to see what was going on with the insurance. Brandon answered the phone and after giving my name and birthday he said "I will not be servicing anyone in your family" and hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to a manager. Lora proceeded to accuse my husband and wouldn't take accountability for the fact her staff YELLED at the customer. She told me I could come and pick up my prescriptions myself, but 10 minutes later someone on the staff had canceled my prescriptions. My husband feels horrible for raising his voice, however they should NEVER yell at a customer and should be working to de-escalate instead of escalate the situation. He felt like he was being provoked and never helped. Further more, hanging up on me and refusing to serve my family is not okay. I will be reporting their staff for refusal to fill my prescription. From the reviews I have read here on Google, I am not the first one who has been yelled at by this pharmacy staff. I have already moved my prescriptions to another pharmacy and they have been so kind and were able to get the insurance issue resolved quickly. Fish Hatchery didn't even attempt to remedy the situation. The fact that Brandon was not reprimanded for his cussing at my husband, just shows this pharmacy's priorities. We moved to Fitchburg about 6 months ago and so had to move prescriptions and find a new place for all the meds. This location is our go-to and they also fill pet medical prescriptions! I order through the app and do refills that way, but whenever there is an issue, I call and someone resolves it, which I can't say for other Madison-area Walgreens locations. This week, I had a refill that ran into an "error" and someone at the pharmacy fixed it and had the refill ready in under and hour. Great! Also, we had our passport photos taken here and they were printed right away. It was really fast and easy and the employee who took our pictures was fun to talk to. read more

Big problems at this Walgreens and similar problems at others. The staff has been pretty good and some of the prices are good on some items. But their pharmacy system leaves a lot to be desired. I've experienced mix ups on my prescriptions, long delays at the drive through and on the phone. One call I waited for twenty minutes on hold only to have the call dropped. I had to call back in and then wait another twenty minutes. The staff has been friendly and appears patient but from my experience they appear understaffed. At my old pharmacy I could speak with someone fairly quickly and my issues were always quickly understood and resolved. So I know it can be done but apparently Walgreens management doesn't know how to manage their customer service system very well. They need to improve their phone system and wait time. The staff has given me conflicting information and I have had to be assertive to get my prescriptions listed correctly. I still don't know if they have it right yet. I will see at the next refill. read more

S. Fish Hatchery Rd, Fitchburg, Wi pharmacy is terrible!!!! We were there & handed them our scripts & said they would call my cell when prescriptions were ready in 10-20 min. They even repeated my cell number for the # to call. We waited in the parking lot for prescriptions as I just got out of hospital. They never called. So when we re-entered Walgreens they were going on lunch break and we met all 3 pharmacy workers at the pharmacy door. We asked for our prescriptions and they said they were all leaving for lunch, they said we would have to come back in a half hour. We asked them to just return my Scripts and we'd go to a different pharmacy and they would not walk the 10 feet back into the pharmacy to get us our prescriptions or my scripts. They went to lunch! Closed up shop. Instead of handing us my prescriptions or scripts. Definitely would never recommend!! read more

The Pharmacy Department at Walgreens on Fish Hatchery Road, Fitchburg, WI is really messed up. They couldn't find my order, even though I have a confirmation of it. Yesterday, I called and spoke with a pharmacist yesterday to see if it was ready. She said they were waiting for my insurance to approve payment of it. So today I stopped in (drive through) to see if it was ready. The pharmacist told me they couldn't find any order for me at all -- either in the store or in the pharmacy. WOW! read more

Completely incompetent pharmacy staff. They have messed up orders, lost filled prescriptions more than once (including a controlled substance), and promised to fill orders but failed to do so. read more

Unbelievably incompetent staff. They mess up my basic prescriptions every month and I spend hours every time trying to straighten it out for them. I genuinely believe Walgreens hires the worst of the graduating class to staff their pharmacies. According to some folks at a large nearby healthcare IT company, Walgreens pays the worst so they can't attract decent talent or enough talent which makes sense. I moved everything over to SSM Health and haven't had a problem since. CVS also was excellent until I was forced to Walgreens b/c of insurance. SSM is a bit out of the way but they can mail everything over so I don't have to spend time explaining to pharmacy "professionals" how to do their jobs any more. Super easy to move everything like refills over. The new pharmacy you choose simply takes care of it. No need to contact your doctor or anything. Treat yourself to less pain and find a new pharmacy today! read more

Why will it take 2 days to print my pictures, when other locations I can get them done in an hour? It would really be convenient if the one close to my house could actually provide this service. You always used to! Now I have to go out of my way to pick up the photos. read more

Great location, lots of other business around (banks, restaurants, service, shipping, etc.) Decent parking though, lot can get cramped, especially in winter, with snow piles Drive through pharmacy Really nice selection of lots of home, medicine, snacks, and other necessities (even beer!) Photo processing Stamps Walgreens health clinic (flu shots, etc.) And, my favorite, I've ALWAYS gotten great service from the Pharmacists, for myself and my children. Very helpful and professional. Why not five starts? Main complaint, sometimes there can be waits for check out Hint: Check out at the photo processing center - it's often quicker! read more

A friend of mine was a customer at this location yesterday. He happens to be African American. He wore a mask while shopping. My friend was followed, scrutinized, and harassed throughout his visit by a Walgreens employee -specifically one with an Australian accent- who my friend finally asked what the problem is, why are you following me? The employee replied, "people like you always steal." I am shocked and, frankly, enraged by this blatant display of racism. I thought better of Walgreens. Maybe this is just one employee disrespecting customers of color, and not the general views of the management, but it is unacceptable. read more

Recently had a glitch with the pharmacy where a miscommunication between insurance and Walgreens left me with an unexpected $175 bill the pharmacy manager was quick to resolve and refund my money-even though it wasn't clearly their mistake.
