I had called to transfer a prescription from Boston, MA to Rutland, VT since I was up at our place in Vermont. What a mistake. Is Rutland full of incompetent, uneducated deplorables? If this person had said this anywhere else, they would be terminated immediately. Perhaps I should go in and buy the place and let them all go.

When it was rang up, one of the candies wasn't getting included in the 3 for $5 discount, although the sign on the shelf clearly states it should be included. Instead of like saying "hold on, let's take a look", the cashier pulls out a phone, angrily sighs and curses that she has to log into the device, scans the problem-rang up candy with her phone, and, again, states "that one is ringing up $2.09. The box is bigger so therefore it is scanning right." uh, no. the price of the shelf disagrees. She then says to the next customer that she "tries not to let negativity in the world affect her". I don't what school of customer service this person flunked out of, but she definitely does not belong in this job. "We can only fill 30 days of a 90 day script, you need to come back two more times", well... NYS law proved them wrong, again! I used this pharmacy for 7 years, had to finally say "NO MORE" Refusal to fill as legally prescribed, continued delays in filling critical medication, inventory problems, significant staff turnover, training problems for front line staff, the manager of the store didn't know the pharmacist was an actual doctor. Wow... I have had to correct the pharmacist several times, had the insurance company tell them they are wrong, all of this while standing in the store waiting for them to do their jobs. Every time I've come in here to pick up a scrip, the staff behind the counter has always been extremely busy working and tending to patrons' needs. Yes, the line may be a few people deep at times but it moves quickly and efficiently and it, being the only national pharmacy in town where you can have your prescriptions transferred and filled from around the country, they do a fantastic job, IMHO. Whenever I call on the phone to enquire about something, the person who picks up is always very polite and takes care of what I called them about in record time and to my complete satisfaction. Robin, in particular is the person I speak to most often and she is THE BEST! So... please ignore the more negative reviews here, Manchester Walgreens is great and this town is fortunate to have them serving the town. Besides their wonderful pharmacy service, the rest of the store is an excellent drugstore, too. The pharmacy seemed to be the most staffed part of the store, there were more behind the counter than any place else in the store.
