Admittedly, there is a lot of pink up there. Pink, cream, papery colors, maybe some oak, a cool full wall chalkboard too. Her work has been featured on HGTV and included in those hollywood award show gift bags. Jill has honed her formulas over the years and she's definitely the real deal. She uses natural ingredients and prides herself on quality and simplicity over ease and volume. Her soap is her stalwart product but she offers skin products, home decor, and even a few clothing items - again, all handmade by Jill. The style is vintage, stopping short of shabby chic, more on just the chic side. Maybe 40% vintage, 40% chic, and 20% shabby. I'm glad I stopped by. Not only did I learn that Jill personally makes EVERYTHING at Bittersweet, we had a nice chat, I think I made a new friend and I picked up a handful of hand-crafted soaps for really reasonable prices. Don't waste your time…read morecoming here, the employees I've encountered are rude, like to direct customer's children around, and refuse services to customers who refuse to let strangers bark commands at their children. They also told me they feel like they can bark commands at other people's children because the store is in a bad black neighborhood. My toddler simply examined and touched a product (didn't pick up, open, nor break, nor take) and I supervised and allowed my child to do so because kids learn from sensory activities. I was then told my child can't touch anything or we have to leave. When I asked what laws prohibits children from touching products and observing them as well as enables discrimination against parents and children in public accommodations, I was told that they can make their own laws in their store and since I was asking them what justified their behavior, I was told to leave and that they were calling the police on me. This sorry woman is being used as a pawn and a weapon to harass and try to stiff arm people and their children and she welcomes her role as giddily and ignorantly as possible.

I needed a hair brush and applicator to dye to my hair, and I called them to see if they carried those supplies. The woman on the phone was friendly and remembered me when I showed up at the store. She gladly showed me where everything was so I didn't have to run around the store looking for stuff. This store is huge! I don't buy wigs,etc. but if you do, it seems like they carry a lot of wigs/extensions. I was in a hurry so I didn't get to explore this place too much. But the price is definitely reasonable. My brush and applicator is about $1.50 each and they were pretty good quality. My hair looks fabulous! Don't let the location scare you. It is in a sketchier part of town, but Gates is just across the street. The ACE hardware store around here is also fantastic. I got my keys duplicated there for cheap, but that's another review. Stay tuned! This is located in a strip mall so parking was not a problem. Love this store and I will definitely be back to shop here if I need any more beauty supplies.
