The store is open 24/7 which is pretty nice, but honestly the staff is rude and the wait time to get checked out is long.

This store has always been very well staffed. I've been a customer for many years. Most issues I've ever seen has been an ignorant customer.

We usually deal with the same pharmacist, an older male. I wish I knew his name but I don't. He's usually the only one who's there. He's very helpful on which products I should buy. He knows and understands some English. We speak to him in Spanish since it's easier to communicate with him. I came here with my mom a few weeks ago to get antibiotics for a toothache. The meds are always cheaper here than in El Paso. I also had to get some pain/fever reducer and another medicine my dentist prescribed. It was $36 and change for 3 or 4 different prescriptions. My mom also got some wrinkle reducer elixir of some kind for $15. That's a steal for this kind of product. The best part about this pharmacy is...they give you a few mini empanadas every time you buy something! They're always delicious and taste fresh. The empanadas are usually pineapple. Honestly, this is one of the main reasons why we come here. They're a little treat to snack on as you wait on the bridge to cross back over to El Paso. Oh and another good thing is...they take American money and even have change for it. That's pretty rare in Juarez. Usually when you pay with American dollars, they'll give you your change in pesos. Most places won't take a U.S. credit or debit card. If they do, they'll charge you a huge fee to use it. It's best to have U.S. dollars or go to an exchange place. The exchange places are all over the place! We'll be back to this pharmacy for sure!

Nothing like that. In fact, you will be ignored until you can make eye contact with someone who happens to walk by. My experiences there--there have been 3--have roused me to never come back. Like, ever. I dropped off a Rx on Monday that needed to be ordered. I was told it would be in the next day and I would receive a phone call. I made sure to give 2 phone numbers because I cannot go without this medication. No phone calls by Thursday and I show up for this ensuing fiasco: Yesterday's visit (Thursday) It took them 3 tries to get my insurance on file. They have had it in the system since February, but act as if I had no insurance and would have to pay out-of-network prices. Yesterday I came in for a medication refill that I had filled--by them, mind you--last month. They quoted me a price of over $300. I said that this was unreasonable because last month it was only $60. I gave them my insurance information on a piece of paper because I thought that maybe there was a mix-up in their system (which happens often, according to the store manager). Sidenote: Their outdated computer system does not take debit transactions so your payments could take weeks to process with your bank account. Finally, I spoke with a manager who explained to me that there was an error with their system, and it would now only cost $265. I became quite irritated because I knew that this was another lie, and told them that I would be taking my business to the neighborhood Wal-Mart where the staff will speak with you and not treat you as if you were a bill-fold with legs. Now this was quite an unpleasant thing to have to do because now I am rushing back and forth around town to fill a medication that should have been handled on Tuesday. After speaking with the staff at the Wal-Mart pharmacy, who were kind and pleasant to work with, I learned that McCrory's was refusing to transfer my prescription because, "It had already been filled." So now I had to go back to McCrory's to cancel the order and tell them once again, in person, that I want it transferred to Wal-Mart. When I got back to McCrory's, I saw that my insurance information was still sitting on the counter--where any customer with a pair of working eyes could see it, take the paper, or at the very least copy my information. The manager was apologetic once again, yet offered no help with solutions to any of the previously mentioned problems: not allowing debit, insurance not being stored correctly, inaccurate price quotes, and abhorrent customer service. I left for the last time. Never once having heard anything like, "Thank you for shopping with us," or "Have a nice day!" Needless to say, if this business was your neighbor, they would be the old couple yelling at the kids to, "Stay off of my lawn!" These people are snakes, and do not deserve your business. They claim to be a "Neighborhood Pharmacy," but do not care about you. What they really want are huge profits. Their in-store items are marked up so heavily it would be laughable, except that some people actually need those items. I mean, $2.75 for a half ounce tube of hand sanitizer is a joke, right? Do yourself a favor and find a pharmacy with a competent staff who will treat you with respect and decency.

I have always found Walgreens to be an excellent source of much needed currency wherever and whenever traveling(especially whilst biketouring) throughout the USA. Fond of true dark chocolate, I'll often buy a few bars of it with my VISA debit card, and increase the amount to what I forecast my immediate future expenses. I didn't go far before finding Starbucks Black Unsweetened Coffee, something I'd been thirsting for several months now. Even better, it was a 'two-fer' on sale. Of course, I bought the pair, but was hesitant to buy more because they'd have to be packed aboard my Doublevision and any liquid spillage, well, at least it wouldn't be a sugary spill! Anyway, cashier Briana expertly checked me through, plus the extra cash that would prove essential once I had entered Mexico at the Ysleta-Zaragoza POE. At the El Poste Centrro Cambiario, Avenida Waterfill, the exchange rate of 18.45 pesos to 1.00 usd meant I'd easily be able to buy another excellent meal at Pollo Feliz! Thank you, Briana & Walgreens, you get both 5-stars and my "Wheel of Approval!"
