All three times I have stopped here in the last few months I have received great service and been very impressed with the speediness of service. Initially I thought, "why write a review on Walgreens? They are a significantly solid type place." But then when my doc asked to update my pharmacy location he recommended a different pharmacy at my annual checkup and I thought to myself, "Am I unhappy with Walgreens? Should I change locations?" I realized I am perfectly happy with the service I receive at Walgreens. read more

All I can say is the parking lot design for this place is horrible. Why is there not an entrance from Eagle River Loop?? Only went for the pharmacy, as usual when you get stuck behind someone trying to argue about the cost of there medicine when the pharmacy doesn't handle anything insurance related it takes longer than it should. 2 police officers approached me in the Eagle River Walgreens and directed me to leave the store, immediately. A Walgreens employee called the police because I was in the Eagle River Walgreens for an hour. So they concluded that I was going to shoplift. I gave the officer my name, showed them my wallet and confirmed that I am a paying customer not a thief. They left my side just to return again stating Walgreens want me out of their store. I am infuriated. I'm a 25 year member of the IBEW, retired journeyman cable splicer. Eagle River Walgreens made slanderous accusations about me and unjustified mistreatment towards me. read more

Pharmacy staff and technicians (who identify themselves as managers) believe that making 5 cars wait for 25 minutes so they can have a chit chat with their friends in the car in front of you is acceptable. I have been a Walgreens employee (many years ago) and a customer for 20+ years. I don't know what standards for customer care they are following, but this store and apparently it's management are awful. The same hambeast who identified herself as the manager ripped my receipt off of my script and refused to give it to me. Everytime I am suppose to get my rx filled they give me nothing but problems they are closed on days they are suppose to be open and just this morning I was calling to make sure my Rx was sent to there pharmacy had someone pick up the phone said the pharmacy is closed in the rudest way possible i will find out who it was and report them when it was past the time the pharmacy is was suppose to be open. Now how do you expect people to get their medications when they just do whatever they want when the want. I will be calling corporate on this siutation read more

Very clean and neat store. I love that it is never packed and you can usually go in, get what you need, and leave.

Some FedEx "location." I needed to mail a package with a pre-paid FedEx label and they apparently can't do that? The lady didn't even try to help figure it out. Solve very unhelpfully told me that the nearest FedEx location is...at the airport in Anchorage. Cannot believe the lack of service at this Walgreens/FedEx. read more

Wish this store was open later. It has the friendliest staff by far. I've been in a few times and they always remember who I am, make conversation and jokes. They're sassy sometimes and I love it. While they don't always have what I need, they're always helpful when I have any questions and once you're established with the pharmacy, it's a breeze. I just get a text alert when it's time to pick up my prescriptions so there's no waiting. read more

I was at your store a few minutes ago in Eagle River Alaska and had the most unpleasant experience with one of your employees. I believe employees name is Alex and they work in the photo department, have a longish dirty blonde or brown hair, Slightly built and appeared to be in the photo section. The young man at the cash register and I both saw a gentleman working out with toilet paper. And then asked the man at the cash register the store had toilet paper and he interned asked the employee in the blue smock. That person automatically said no, the store did not have toilet paper which point I stated we just saw someone walk out with toilet paper the person in the blue smock then took on this defined attitude and just looked at the young man the cash register is if he had done something wrong and then the person in the blue smock turned to me and actually said" I didn't see anyone with toilet paper"! I persisted and repeated that both the cashier and I had seen a man with toilet paper walking out of the store as had my spouse. This Alex person then repeated in an even more defiant tone I did not see anyone with toilet paper at which point I said I know but we both did at which point Alex repeated I'd be happy to show you where the toilet paper would normally be and then again repeated that they had not seen a man with toilet paper at which point I stated I understand but the cashier and I as well as my spouse did. I got the name of the person that fits the description above and was initially behind the photo counter when I was there at about 6:20 PM today Saturday, March 21; By calling the store in describing him. A man answered the phone and told me the name of the person at the photo counter in the blue smog was Alex. I want to make it clear that I am well aware that there is a shortage of paper products and I do not hold the store play more easy as that is simply the new circumstances we need to except but what I do have a problem with is this person who had not been a party to observe in the man working out with toilet paper actually looking directly as a customer and trying to negate the fact three of us have actually seen them out of the toilet paper by stating that they had not seen that. What I got from that was that Alex probably knew that the person leaving, perhaps an employee, had toilet paper but was not going to admit it and rudely tried to negate the fact that three of us had seen it.The decent thing to do customer service wise was to state " I'm not sure what to tell you but we do not have any toilet paper now, I'm sorry" I thought Alex was condescending, defiant, rude and devoid of customer service and you should never tolerate an employee like that. I kept my cool is I always seek to remain a civil person but Alex's behavior was unwarranted. read more

I don't know if they've changed management or not, but it has gone horribly downhill in the last couple of months. they inconsistently answer the phone and kept messing up my insurance. The new techs can hardly pronounce the name of the meds much less know what to say when asked what a certain prescription was for. Not going back. read more
