The one star is only for the pharmacy The store is clean and enjoyable to shop there. The pharmacy is another matter so this rating only pertains to the pharmacy. I have lost count of the number of times I have run into problems with a prescription refill. I have had my online request disappear before pickup, prescription not filled completely, excuses of either my doctor not making the request or not providing complete information, my insurance wanting more information- not sure what to believe, given different excuses why the prescription is not complete, they ran out of my prescription, was missing a code for the prescription to go though - has occurred several times so I have advised them over the phone. In some of these instances I have had to call several times since the online information does not give enough information for the delay. My last refill was still not completed after a week - different excuses were given at different times. It does not do any good to be open for 24 hours if they cannot get the prescription correct.. read more

Talk about sweet staff! Driving through town to head to a wake, I stopped in to grab a condolence card. It was right after work, so they were fairly busy. I didn't want to be any later than I was, so I wandered over to the cosmetics department...there's a register over there, you know? Without hesitation, the employee stopped what she was doing and quickly rang me up. She also took a moment to make pleasant conversation while we completed the transaction. She was so sweet and didn't even flinch when I interrupted her task to ring me up. This is how it should always be. Thanks sweet Walgreens employee for making my day! read more

The night clerk is rude and crass. He is rude to all my friends who come in at night. One day he even told me, if you're not happy call my manager. And sure enough I made him call his manager cuz his lazy self refused to check me out pathetic. Poor Janice...dealing with unhappy pessimistic employees like that. I knew there was a reason I moved all my prescriptions to Osco. The service and turn around time at this pharmacy sucks. I went to onsite clinic in great pain. Clinic 'sent prescription right over' and told them I'm waiting. So I ASSUMED that I didn't need to check in a pharmacy. I was wrong. 15 or so minutes go by without them calling me so I go up to counter. They hadn't started it yet. read more

Went to the clinic with ear pain ... Was the ONLY person there and still took like 20 minutes for the nurse to call me in and another 30 minutes waiting for the doctor ... The doctors room had a horrible smell, the doctor looked like she hasn't shower in days and her lab coat intead of being white it was yellowish and so dirty it look like she cleaned the floor with it ! Just gross!!! Same problem with the pharmacy as everybody else ... Call your name saying that is ready and as expected NO sorry come back in "10 minutes" ! Constantly have problems with their pharmacy. I recently was in boating accident and lost my right leg. I was in the hospital for 27 days. The hospital sent over my scripts and called to make sure they were ready right away being that they are scheduled meds. I also brought in a script for pain meds which were due to be taken about an hour after discharge. The script was signed by the doctor with her dea number. This is what is required in the state of IL. The pharmacist refused to fill my script and said it needed a second signature which is not true. My doctor from the hospital personally called herself to tell them that this is the way the hospital always writes their scripts for pain meds and they have never once had a problem. So then I ask for my other meds. They told me that no one told them they needed to be picked up immediately. I was standing next to the nurse when she called them. So there I am arguing with the pharmacist while crying in pain and I was treated like crap. I went over to osco with the same script and it was filled within 15 min. They are completely disorganized and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

This is the worst pharmacy ever! The medications are always on backorder they never call you to give you a heads up, when you go to pick them up they tell you call your doctor to change the brand if medications What! I am now switching to osco it's crazy osco,cvs,and walmart can still get the medications but the big chain Walgreens can't either 2 things have happened they have treated there vendors like there customers poorly or they can't get a deal on the cost for them to purchase so they just won t buy them and make the consumer suffer. Which is my guess so save yourself the headache and stress go elsewhere because if you haven't had a problem yet believe me it's coming and the customer service is a joke. read more

Everytime I use this pharmacy I end up waiting well over an hour for my perscriptions. The staff is nice enough, but not worth the wait. Definitely have to remember to tell my doctor's office to switch my pharmacy preference in the system! read more

This walgreens is horrible. Prescriptions are never ready when they are supposed to be. Took me 2 hours for them to fill an emergency medication. Multiple inncidents that I was called saying my meds were ready for pick up but when I arrived they said they had no clue what I was talking about and it would be another hour. They have also had issues with giving me the wrong quanity and wrong directions. I've never had any issues at any other walgreens. The only reason I use this one is because it is a 24 hour walgreens. read more

Worst ever pharmacy.. on a continual basis they are ALWAYS "running behind" as they say. Often times out of stock of my prescriptions and then will have to hunt it down at another location. Today I was told to come back 3 different times because, it was not ready when they say it would..... yet again!!! Not exaggerating here in the least. Average drive through time is almost always 20 minutes and that's usually with only one person ahead of me!!! Going to a different pharmacy from now on.. NO redeeming qualities here AT ALL!!! ALWAYS the same old stuff 90% of the time. ALWAYS understaffed and disorganized with frequent mistakes! Forget it! read more

Don't recommend going her for a prescription. Went Monday, they said come back in an hour. Came back an hour and a half later, waited 15 minutes in the drive up only to be told that it wasn't ready. They said that they were short staffed????? Went back Tuesday and still 15 minutes in a drive up. Never getting a presto there again, will do CVS read more

I literally picked up my husband from the hospital down the street, they told me it would be 25 minutes....well, It's getting close to an hour waiting for a prescription to be filled....this is a terrible place to come IF you want anything from the pharmacy in a timely manner. They burnt me the last time I was here also. I do not recommend this place AT ALL. read more

I would give this Walgreens 5 stars for the store, and a half star for the walk-in clinic. I went there for a sinus infection (of which I've had many) and waited an hour before they told me that I need to come back after lunch at 1:30. It was 11:30 when the lady told me this. I came back at 1:15 and was not seen until 2:15. I understand that it is a walk-in clinic so the fact that it was much later than I was told it would be did not really bother me. When I went in to see the nurse practitioner and she asked me what was wrong with me I told her that I have a sinus infection. She told me that I should not self diagnose. I told her that I've had about 30 sinus infections in my 43 years and I was certain it was a sinus infection but that she was welcome to take a look and see what she thought. She then told me (angrily this time) that unless I am a doctor that she will be the one to tell me what is wrong with me. She asked me why I didn't want to be swabbed for strep and I explained that I have a huge deductible and did not want to waste the money when I am certain I do not have strep. She then told me that maybe I should write my own prescription. I told her that if that were a possibility, that I would not be there and that I would do just that. She then told me that she would not treat me and that I needed to leave. NO, I AM NOT KIDDING. She refused to tell me why she would not treat me (I asked at least 5 times) then she told me that I needed to leave or she would call security. Needless to say, I was shocked and angry. The woman's ego got in the way of her being a healthcare provider and that is simply wrong. I have been going to that Walgreens for the past 17 years and will continue to patronize the store but will never go back to the clinic as long as Mary Prewitt works there. She is in the wrong profession. read more

Saw my doctor at 6pm and then proceeded to drop off my prescription at 7pm at the closest Walgreens. After waiting in line for 15 minutes, the new counter person asked if I would like to wait, I asked how long. She said the prescription would be ready in 3 hours. Really? Would I like to wait? I said I would go elsewhere. So I went to the local CVS and they filled the prescription under the 15 minutes they said it would take. This is not the first time this has happened at this Walgreens. So I am now making new friends with the pharmacists at CVS. Goodbye Walgreens Pharmacy! read more

Unbelievably slow pharmacy. I would recommend the Osco that is right across the street.

I went here for a year and a half because the location was convenient but no more. I would rather drive out of my way to get professional service. I took a year and a half of abuse from these people. If you like being hung up on, having the phone answered with "HOLD!" , not being notified when your Rx is ready, having the "auto refill" turn itself off (according to them), waiting in line forever, sarcastic remarks from the staff if you use coupons etc.. Unfortunately I could go on and on.... Do yourself a favor and make the drive over to CVS. read more

I've had issues with Walgreen's in the past to where I only go there if necessary. On my last visit there, my opinion changed. As I waited in line, I observed a manager (I believe he was a manager by the way he was dressed) helping an elderly lady. She has dementia, and he really went above and beyond with her. He made sure her money was put away and her purse zipped. He carried her bags out to a waiting taxi for her. Mostly, his kindness and the respect with which he treated her was so heartfelt. It was as though she was a member of his family. It was watching the way he interacted with her that changed my mind about shopping there. There should be more people like him in this world. I tried to see his name, and I believe his name was Kevin. I just wanted to say WELL DONE. read more

Long, long waits for prescriptions. Last time I dropped off a prescription for my daughter and it took almost 2 and a half hours to get it filled. The guy at the counter said that there are 10 people ahead of you so you better make it closer to 3 hours from now because we are short staffed again. So this time I called first and they said about a hour or so. I called Osco and she said we can have it ready in 20 minutes, We now fill everything at Osco in Westmont. read more

Very incompetent photo department. I placed an online photo order for two 16x20 poster prints. When I picked them up and brought them home, the prints appeared as though the printer had begun to run out of ink. I went back later that day and the girl noticed the lines across the photos immediately. She said the photo guy would be in later and she would have him check the printer. I asked her to leave a note for him to please give me a call so I would know whether or not he was able to fix the printer and if they were ready to be picked up. I actually saw her write the note but I got NO call or even an email to let me know that my prints were ready. So I went back to the store the next day for a 3rd time and when the girl showed me the prints, the lines were gone, but the prints were all dented like they had been thrown around. I nicely explained to her that was not okay, since these were going in a frame, and she said "oh, he must have dented them when he rolled them up." So she reprinted them AGAIN. This time I waited around for 10 minutes while they printed, and when I gave them a once over, all the lines on the photos were back! Seriously? I would have had great prints the 2nd time around but they were all dented! I don't know if their printer has different quality settings or something, but maybe somebody doesn't know how to work it properly? After all this frustration I just got my money back. read more

I went to the nurse practioner for an inhaler refill, which I even specified on my pre-apppintment paperwork. Paid $89 and waited over two hours just for the appointment. Once in there, she decided to also prescribe (/sell) me oral steroids. Fine. Whatever. After my appointment, I had to run out of there and go straight to work. I came back several hours later, where ONE prescription was waiting for me- the oral steroids, which I really didn't even need. What I needed was the inhaler. I explained this to the pharmacist, but he could do nothing, as the clinic staff had left for the day. He told me the morning pharmacist would contact them and I could call in the morning to check that status. When I called back, the (incredibly unhelpful) pharmacist said, "I faxed them, it usually takes 24-48 hours to hear back." Um, what? 48 hours to remedy a prescription - related error that was made by their staff? When I asked if there was someone he could call, he said, "I can try faxing them again." No, thanks. I was incredibly surprised by the apathy and laziness of the staff regarding this matter. I have been using this pharmacy my whole life and travel about 20 minutes to this location. I'll probably find a new pharmacy after this mess has been cleaned up. read more

Advocate health clinic- As a nurse I try to keep an own mind when going to quick clinics. I usually find them convienent and helpful. I unfortunately did not have this happen when I went the other day. I had cold like symptoms for 5 days that could have easily been a just a cold but when the nurse practioner she told me she wasn't "impressed"with any of my symptoms and that "I should go get some chicken noodle soup" I was s bit annoyed. When I asked her for more professional advise since that is why I came to the clinic in the first place she told me to get Vicks vapor rub and stop all other cold meds I was taking. Two days later after Having no improvements, I see my primary doctor and she tells me I have a respiratory infection and starts me on a z pack. Honestly it wasn't even the mis diagnosis that bothers me, but the way she brushed me aside and basically made me feel like I should suck it up. I will never return to this clinic. After advocate bought it out it has taken a major turn for the worse. read more
