I had surgery on Dec. 6th and had taken my prescription to the closest Walgreens pharmacy to Emory Hospital, which was 595 Piedmont Ave. My husband had our 9 month old baby in the car and I was just released from the hospital with a prescription for pain medication. I was beginning to feel pain again as I submitted my prescription to the pharmacy worker. I very obviously had a large incision on my neck from just having surgery. The pharmacist working (a female) said it would be 1 1/2 hours to fill the prescription, even though I had told them I was feeling more and more pain. I asked if the prescription could be put in their system, but we pick it up from our local pharmacy in Dacula, GA since we still had to drive home, and that would be at least an hour. She said no, because it was a controlled substance. She was very quick and not friendly. I took my prescriptions and told them to forget it and I'd go home and take my chances with my local pharmacy. I have been using the Walgreens on Dacula Rd. for a few years and had my husband call on our way up there. He explained to the pharmacist that I had just had surgery, was feeling pain again, and we also had our 9 month old with us, so we didn't have a ton of time to wait around. The pharmacist told us no problem and to bring it in right away. My husband brought the prescriptions inside and they were filled immediately. We thanked the pharmacist so much. I just moved to Dacula, GA and saw that they have a Walgreens. Great, I thought. Loved the store in my Colorado neighborhood. I have now visited this Dacula store three times and have yet to see anyone working the floor. I just needed to know where a few things were located, but could not find anyone to ask. I waited in line to ask the teenager working the front register where I might find an ear bulb, the gizmo that is used to flush out your ears. Not a common product, but one working at a drugstore should know it. She had no idea what I was talking about. Said they had no one on the floor, and left the counter to walk to the photo area to ask another teen. Meanwhile the counter was six deep. The three times a hve been in there, this has always been the case. Come on Walgreens. Add some staff, and train them just a little. read more

My family has been using Walgreens for over 15 years, but after a move to the area that is served by the Dacula Walgreens, we are moving everything to a different pharmacy completely. They changed my prescription brand without telling me, or my doctor, and now until this is gone (which I can't take because of the difference in fillers) I have to pay almost $100 a month for 3 months, for a prescription that is FREE, because Walgreens told me that the insurance won't cover their screw-up if they order me the original one I take. In the meantime, I have no medication for a serious liver autoimmune issue. It's not the first time in the 8 months we have lived in this area that this particular Walgreens has screwed up, but it will be the last, and is proving harmful. My sister went to this location today to pickup some prescriptions. Two of the prescriptions were over a hundred dollars. The woman(white) helping her was asked if any discounts were offered and .she was told no. It's 2022, we should not have to deal with racism from people working in Customer Service. Luckily, the pharmacist hear my sister's conversation and gave her a discount card. It would be helpful if someone looked into this matter and get rid of that unpleasant person!!! read more

I had to get a prescription taken care of for my mother this morning. it was tedious and required a phone call with multiple transfers. This was a shopping experience for me to get a few items. As I didn't visit the actual pharmacy I didn't experience a negative visit.

The female pharmacist is rude and lacks customer service. I have been coming to this location for years and Gregory the pharmacy manager is always helpful and nice. He will even come to check you out and assist all around. However the Nora lady (see photo) is difficult to deal with. I had a prescription called in today ( my doctor left a message). When I arrive the pharmacy tech (she is nice) ask how could she help. I gave my name and she didn't see it she said maybe it's on the message. She asked Nora to check. I said I will also call my doctor to make sure they called. I verified the message was left for my meds. I went to shop the store while they filled my prescription. I come back 20 mins later and Nora did not even check the messages yet. I asked the tech if she was going to check them she gave me a weird (I don't know look). I stood there hoping to provoke a hurry up spirit. Then Nora had the nerve to ask if I needed anything. I said yes you to check the messages and fill my prescription please (with a little anger now). She said it will be a few minutes and ask me to take a seat... I was tired by now and was in Walgreens now for over 1.5 hours. I am convinced Nora intentionally took another 30 mins. What horrible customer service a waiting in store customer this is ridiculous and I will call corporate to report this as well. read more

This is by the worse Walgreens I have ever went to in my life! a lady by the name of (BJ) gave me someone else medicine and was gone let me drive off with it until I reas the name. She wasn't apologetic at all. Seems as she didn't care that I could've possibly took the wrong medicine. Great convenience/drug store. Great selection of things and they are always running specials on items so you can pick up some good deals here. It is very clean and they keep the merchandise in good order and the shelves stocked nicely. The staff is always friendly. The only negatives are sometimes you get up to the register and there is nobody there and you may find yourself waiting for a solid 3 minutes before someone comes up to check. I know part of this is due to the fact they are understaffed so I blame upper management for that. The only other negative is they should open earlier. 8 AM for a convenience drug store is kind of week. Should open at 6 AM......7 AM at the absolute latest. Overall, I hit this store quite a bit because I can get in and out quicker than I can Kroger or Publix and they have a great selection of things with competitive prices. Yay! I don't normally bother writing reviews, but I feel compelled to let everyone know not to go to this Walgreens. Rude customer service at a pharmacy is the worst! My daughter is very sick and the doctor called a Rx into this location in error (their fault). My doctor cancelled it and resent to the correct location for me, but it was still filled at this location. After holding for more than ten minutes (cycling through and then when they pick up only to say hold please) they finally answer to tell me I have to cal the correct location and ask the Rx to be transferred. They don't offer the transfer within their own stores as a service! This is just insane to me. I won't be back. Transferring all my prescriptions to Publix today... read more

They had our drugs in stock but I didn't have my Rx card on me at pickup. I asked to use the phone to call my mother for the card details and they told me to come in after waiting in the drive through. After waiting in line again they called my mother, who they kept calling my wife and wouldn't hand the phone to me to get the details. Even though insurance was reinstated it "doesn't show up in their systems for 24-48 hrs." Plus the thanksgiving holiday and weekend set us back a week for drugs that were needed urgently. Every time I called to ask about updates the pharmacist with an Indian accent was very rude. She wouldn't contact my insurance to request or verify benefits. I was kept on hold for 15-20 minutes, then was told I'd have to wait longer. The only time she perked up was when I told her that if they were too busy to help me that is have to get my prescription back and take it elsewhere to be filled. Then she sounded very happy. Not sure if they had to hire the first or only applicants when this place opened but the pharmacists were very cold, rude, and unhelpful. read more

Hands down no customer service through the drive-thru whatsoever. Dropped off my mother's prescriptions after her procedure they told me it would be 20 minutes and they would text. THEY NEVER DID. Then when I came back thru I waited for 10 mins before they even came to help me then once they did they were so rude. I advised them that I would be giving them a WILL deserved bad review on here and then the Pharmacist came over himself. Argh. I will never recommend this facility to anyone. Great clean store. Haven't had any problems with the pharmacy as the other poster has and have filled many orders there. They might not hold your hand as much as some people might need, but when tasked with their job they get it done. Even went above and beyond helping me resolve an issue with doctor's office regarding a phoned in prescription. The rest of this store is clean and orderly. Sometimes (mostly like now around Christmas) there are some items misplaced, but that's probably from kids playing with items and not putting them back where they belong because their parents aren't watching them. The managers are always helpful with coupon issues and nearly all the staff greet you through the store and offer to help if you look lost. It will be interesting how this place holds up once the new Kroger opens right behind here with a drive up pharmacy as well. read more

What a convenience having this Walgreens so close to the house. Sometimes it's my one stop shop I can get my make up grab some snacks get some toiletries all that one place. Have repeatedly received poor service from this pharmacy. Pharmacy has done things like filling all the prescriptions that were not requested on a list that was left with them. Most recently was stuck with a box of insulin that had been mishandled to the point of being crushed on one side (and taped in two places by the pharmacy) and unsealed except for one inch on the unaffected side of the box. Store manager mislead us and tricked us into making a second trip to the store (by saying that they would exchange the insulin) and then decided that they wouldn't do that. Pharmacy staff also is very bossy and thinks they can tell a customer how much of a prescription they will fill no matter what the physician orders (not controlled substances, but items such as diabetic monitoring supplies.) I will not be dealing with this pharmacy again, and will likely not deal with Walgreens again either, since it appears they don't need our business. read more
