I was looking for quality vitamins that are not made in China and was pleased to see these are not. They were a little more expensive but only compared to those that are fianced by the CCP. Then I noticed the shelves of items that I didnt think anyone carried and I needed - Celtic sea salt (gray) and Cacoa nibs from Peru - these are high grade items made properly. At the checkout I noticed all the pictures that were taken with the owner - they are actually historic - she was head of a 10 state Health food organization. Yes, these will cost more but they are the best. Do your research.

Stopped at Sunoco Sunday on the way back from Lafayette. Located just south of I-74 with easy…read moreaccess and plenty of parking. It is a service station AND a tidy restauran. The food is good. They cooked to order and deliver to the table. The chatter of the friendly employees is a bright spot. One note, at least on this visit the junior tenderloin was just a smidge smaller than the regular tenderloin so be aware. Onion rings are good. Be back to try the potato wedges. The price is not exactly cheap with a sandwich, medium rings and drink I hit at $20 with tax so there is that. Otherwise worth the trip to see the place and some good food as well. Note, not much available for the gluten free folks.

We found things that you can't find at your local grocery, such as Amish cheeses, fresh churned butter and Amish meats. I also bought canning supplies and picked up a few pointers on new easy canning lids. We also ordered sandwiches on fresh made Amish bread. Sandwiches are under $4 and you select your meat, cheese and toppings. I had a turkey sandwich and the bread was so soft that it melted in my mouth. I couldn't walk by the pastries without buying a fry cake - black raspberry to be exact. The shelves were filled with cream filled pies, cinnamon bread and cheese breads. My fry cake was delicious coated in a sugar glaze. They sell everything from bait and fishing supplies to salt for the water softener. The staff is friendly, though quiet. They do not accept credit cards or any form of electronic payment. We paid cash. There is plenty of parking, including space for your horse and buggy.

BLTA sandwich was good. A corn and potato chowder was almost sour/ tangy... honestly way too much sour cream in this soup. Not chowder like at all. The grilled cheese was not impressive to look at. We hoped for a lot, but won't be back.
