As a response he took the insulin away from me that was for my son, who had run out of supply today. He said he wasn't CVS and didn't have to give me the insulin and forced me to apologize. I will never patronize the CityWayCVS again and if I can help it, any CVS which is hard due to their monopoly on the market. Completely uncalled for and unprofessional.

Today, Max's son, Dr. John Cowan operates the pharmacy. The drug store maintains its historic and independent charm. The pharmacy counter stands as it did 50 years ago, serving customers. The first six prescriptions filled in 1885 hang framed on the wall surrounded by vintage pharmaceutical bottles. The pharmacy provides vaccines as well as fills prescriptions. The store also sells a great selection of Hallmark cards and gifts, local postcards, candy and nuts. While the photo shop within the drugstore closed years ago, a collection of vintage cameras is displayed on shelves. The Cubbard is a popular breakfast and lunch spot in the rear of the store. The food is down home delicious. You see the same friendly faces every visit. Cowan's is an amazing locally owned business and worth a visit. There is free street parking.

This is the only drug store in a twenty mile radius so they have a monopoly. The store is always…read morepacked to the gills with seasonal items as well as the usual assortment of CVS goods. It is the only place to buy greeting cards, gift wrap and personal care products. Service varies from very helpful to occasionally cantankerous. We stopped by to print some photos and pick up cards. A clerk helped us with the photos which take only a few seconds to print. They carry a reasonable supply of alcohol including a few higher end bourbons and liquors. They have great clearance sales end of season and holidays. I always manage to pick up some fun trinkets at the end of summer. It is also the only place I noticed that has toys if you want to spoil the grandchildren. The selection is far from upscale but they do have bubbles and that's all you need on a hot summer day to put a smile on their face. Getting here is easy in and out. There is a drive through pharmacy that I have not used. They are located about 3 miles off 65.

He is targeting me because I recently dated his wife while they were "on a break" that she evidently didn't inform either of us of at the time, and since I've started using CVS, he's deleted my prescriptions, has lied to my doctors office and is rude everytime I call. I know not everyone will have this problem, and that he feels he has a "reason" to be prejudiced against me, but again, he's too immature to be in the position he's in. To use your position to postpone peoples medicine where their health is concerned is not only petty but dangerous. As an aside, I've never had any issue or problem with the other employees, they've always been wonderful, super professional, and polite and the store clean and efficient.

I also never post reviews because why waste the time. Then I also realized we no longer take the time telling people what a great job they are doing. We have been here four months and have had nothing but a very positive experience transferring, filling, and dealing with prescription issues. So much better service than I ever experienced in Indy. Yesterday I wanted to speak to the pharmacy to see if the approved medicine was in stock. I got stuck in the CVS phone tree nightmare. You can no longer speak directly to the pharmacy directly, you are supposed to leave a voicemail and they will contact you in a defined timeframe. I of course I didn't believe it, cursed at the phone and hung up. 1/2 hour later the phone rings and it is CVS stating that they had a call from this number and how could they help me. Now that is good customer service! They answered my question and filled my script within the hour. This is a top notch pharmacy! Thanks for making this transition easy.
