For pharmacy only!!!!!!!!!! Best. Pharmacy. Ever. Everyone is efficient, patient, knowledgeable, and very nice. They also have a sense of humor. They always want you to pay as little as possible for your prescription and will help you find programs that will do that. I love everyone there. :) read more

The bad things out way the very few good things about this Walgreens. 1. Store Management allows - very aggressive pan handlers to harass income and outgoing customers. 2. Store Employees are either rude or unfriendly 3. Store Pharmacy - has issues when filling correctly or completely online or automated prescriptions over the phone. 4. Only good thing is its close to my home, but rather go to the Walgreens on Western just off Howard. read more

I do like this particular Walgreens. And they have a bathroom you can use if you ask..BIG PLUS! I get my prescriptions here as well, and the staff is a bit overworked, but very helpful and friendly. They always answer my questions. They have a pretty good selection of merchandise and I think they are going to be adding ink refills as well..I think I saw a sign on that when I was there recently. Yep, there have been problems with panhandlers here. I just try to ignore them. Very convenient local place. read more

***The review is solely about the pharmacy*** I recently switched to this location for a prescription and needed to first call the pharmacist and then make a stop to pick up. On the phone: The pharmacy tech was helpful, curteous and gave correct and specific information that I needed. At the store: I drove up and noted the drive-through for the pharmacy. The pharmacy tech was helpful, smiling, and very courteous. The only real downside was the parking lot itself which is oddly shaped and makes for weird angles and turns when driving. The drive up is on the east side of the bldg. read more

My boyfriend has had a lot of problems over the past six months when it comes to filling his prescription. There's been a lot of confusion and miscommunication between the insurance company and his doctor...but Jessica at the pharmacy has been unbelievably helpful! She has gone above and beyond to help my boyfriend get everything figured out. Just tonight she made multiple calls to help resolve the current issue. Amazing customer service! read more

Absolutely the worst Walgreens on earth. On my first visit to this place I was standing in line while a customer was screaming at the cashier for lord knows what, as the cashier was ringing up other customers. There were at least 3 people in front of me and this crazy customer was still screaming at her when it was my turn to pay. I made the mistake of making eye contact with the crazy person who then turned her attention to ME, screaming and calling me names, meanwhile no security or manager was anywhere to be found. A friend recently moved to RP and before I could warn him about this location he had his own very bizarre and awful experience with a woman who came storming in and stood in front of the 6 people waiting in line and then got in an elderly woman's face when she said something about the line! She was yelling "what are you gonna do about it? What are you gonna do about it?!" I feel awful for the people that have to work in this environment. They can't really do anything about any of it and they have to deal with this shit every day! read more

Can I give this negative 3 Stars? This is the worst store on Earth. People must only go here because they have no other choice. The most mismanaged Walgreens on the planet. It is weirdly always busy. The pharmacy has no time for you if you are at the store. If you use the drive through, they completely ignore you. If they actually respond it only gives you false hope because you wait an eternity. Same thing if you go in the store. It is unreal. They are so busy carrying bags and bags of prescriptions for people who are not there. The staff is so overworked and the line grows and grows and grows as you are ignored, ignored, ignored. Once we purchased eye drops. The register said it was flagged. The crew never saw such a thing, the manager never saw such a thing. Turns out, it was a recalled item that they still had in stock. Nice. Recently I went in looking for an item. The employee GOOGLED it!!!! And told me, "no you have to get it online" then acted as if I was no longer there and complained to another employee how horribly busy it was. DO NOT USE THIS WALGREENS. Unless you have to for some weird reason. read more

If I could give 0 stars I WOULD. Went to go pick up my prescription from here for the first time. The pharmacist was in such a rush he did not even get my number down. Was too busy worried about the shoplifting fiasco in the parking lot. After asking me my name and number multiple times, which I don't think he ever got any of the information correct, he proceeds to tell me that my number is registered to someone else. After asking me what prescription I'm picking up, he tells me my insurance won't cover it? HOW WOULD YOU KNOW? YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW MY NAME! Makes me pay out of pocket for my prescription, which I have BCBS, and have NEVER IN 24 YEARS PAID FOR A PRESCRIPTION. A complete waste of time and money. DURING A PANDEMIC THESE PEOPLE WON'T EVEN TAKE THE TIME TO ASK YOU FOR YOUR INFORMATION. Do NOT go here for ANY reason. read more

The pharmacists are nice, but I usually try to stick with the drive-thru. The lines are always long and confusing at checkout. Usually at least one of the cashiers doesn't know how to use the register. And after dark there's usually a gang of unruly teens in the parking lot. One time someone peed on my car when I ran in to get supplies. Not like a child, like a grown man. ewwwww. I'm hiking up to Main Street in Evanston for my walgreens needs. read more

I've been on hold for the pharmacy for 15 minutes. They pick up the phone and put it straight back on hold without saying a word to me every 3 minutes. I never leave negative reviews, but this has happened each of the four times I've called this store, so clearly there's a functional issue happening within the pharmacy. read more

Last year I walked in and saw the longest pharmacy line I've ever seen at a Walgreens. I was truly amazed at how long the line was. I think the drive-thru completely slows down the whole pharmacy. When I do have that sweet relief of getting to the counter, it's a toss up on what kind of customer service I'll get. There's a chill staff and then a woman that looks overworked all the time. Goodness gracious, send her on a paid vacation. The key to this place is timing. Worst times are around noon-1 p.m, 4-6 p.m., and 9 p.m. (on weekdays). The rest of the store seems less than average. I shop at different Walgreens when I want to actually but things. read more

Through location only, this Walgreens is awful. Literally within walking distance of a half dozen rehabs, psych wards, and nursing homes. The near dead zombie pace the aisles in a medicated haze. Its so odd and scary in here. That being said, the staff is kind of amazing. I don't know how they get most of these people to work here. Overly helpful, overly nice. I saw a woman having a seizure at the check out one day. I was frozen and horrified. It was like the staff had "customer with a seizure training" that morning. They laid her down, called 911, calmed her son, cleaned her face, all while continuing to check people out. It was outstanding. I would go to the location on western if possible. Clientele is scary. Staff is amazing. read more

This is the most disorganized pharmacy I have ever seen. No prescription is ever ready on time and if they cannot fill something due to an issue, such as they are out of the drug, they do not contact you to let you know. The staff are not knowledgeable about the drugs and have zero customer service skills, both the pharmacy and the store as a whole. Having to wade through panhandlers to get in and out of the store does not help. Recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

I go here all the time because it is close to my house. pros: the pharmacists have been super helpful and nice to me. Most of the techs are also great. The store is clean. Glad they once again have liquor, beer and wine cons: Get rid of the beggars in front of the store!! It drives me nuts to have grown men asking me for money as I try to go in and out. Do not let your employees smoke in front of the store - really? They put the liquor behind the check out due to thieves, you can't figure out a better way to stop it? It's really hard to see what you have and make a purchase there, people are always waiting behind you and it's tough to see what you have. - they need more workers in the pharmacy, it takes forever now to get a prescription filled read more

This is the worst Walgreens! Not enough staff in the pharmacy. Every month I come to pick up the wait is 30 min. Not to mention inaccuracy on multiple occasions with my prescriptions. It's worth it to go out of my way to go somewhere else. read more

The absolute worst. I stopped at this Walgreens yesterday to buy some over the counter allergy medication. After buying it, I made the mistake of running across the street for five minutes (five minutes!) to stop at the grocery store. When I returned, my car had been booted. I was then told that, if one leaves one's car in the EMPTY parking lot for even five minutes, one must pay a $170 fine. This is no way to treat customers. I paid the fine -- but only by promising myself that I would never visit this or any Walgreens ever again. read more

Its convent in our area but going here at night is scary as a chick. The street people at times can be over pushy about asking for your change. read more

This is a great Walgreens. The employees are always so nice and they handle long lines efficiently. Great place

This Walgreens is the closest to me so o go there a lot, but I am starting to drive a mile to go to the CVS. There is always someone begging for money outside. This last person yelled at me all the way to my car. I'm done with this location. I've told the people there more than once about this and it keeps happening. I'm done. read more

The pharmacy here at this location is awful! The staff are awful at providing descent costumer service. I've called and been hung up on countless times or put on hold and forgotten about. I've gone days without my blood pressure meds due to this pharmacy claiming to be out of my medication. Metoprolol tartrate is a pretty common B/P medication. If you know the need is great in this area why allow yourself to consistently be out of it!!!! Please be aware if you chose to make this your pharmacy. Complete let down Walgreens! Do better!!! read more

Im not sure this place is A-OK! But its better than it has been. Friendlier Cashiers, Better Trash Pickup and Cleaner Store. Better Cart pickup and Monitoring. I have noticed a difference in the past few months. If Yelps reviews are super old and never have to be updated well, they just dont mean as much. This Walgreens doesnt get four or five stars because its still a great place for cheap booze. Big Flats is apparently the Walgreens house brand for cheap beer. Very Strange. http://www.chicagonow.com/the-beeronaut/2011/01/walgreens-big-flats-1901-beer/ Seema a bit hypocritical for a Pharmacy to also peddle cheap booze. Its "premium" Lager you can buy for 2.99 a six pack. Wow thats cheap, fifty cents a can. read more

Don't count on the store opening on time. If you're on your way to work and you stop here at 7, it won't be open for another 10 minutes.

What staff there is in the pharmacy department seem to work hard and are generally professional and friendly. But you will probably pass away from what ails you before you are served in that drive through line. I bet they have to regularly call the medical examiner & tow truck at the same time. And it's no better inside (I don't recommend as it is filthy and they have no hand sanitizers, etc. even though 75% of the customers have the flu) or if god forbid you have to call on the phone. Today I waited 40 minutes to speak with a pharmacist about a prescription that kept changing status online. The pharmacist resolved the issue once she came on the line, but who has time for this? I can only assume they are massively under staffed. Time for a new pharmacy. read more

Worst pharmacy in the city! I have been coming to this Walgreens pharmacy for a few months now and although I have express pickup I wait in line for 30+minutes! The cashiers have no sense of urgency whatsoever and choose to spend the little extra time they have sorting pills into the correct bins versus getting thru the 12+ people line they usually have inside! Every time, they say they are the busiest pharmacy and EVERY SINGLE TIME they say they are short staffed! For being one of the "busiest" Walgreens don't you think they would have a full staff, especially during peak hours? The drive thru line is even worse and expect your wait time to be up to 45mins if you choose that route! Finally, when a pharmacist is going over prescriptions with patients, wouldn't it be smart to start ringing the next person in line?? Efficiency is non existent here and I will be switching to a more efficient, fully staffed pharmacy in the future. Good luck if you choose this as your regular pharmacy and be warned. read more

Now I remember why I cant stand Walgreens. Horriable customer service. None talkative employees. No smiles and everyone looks like they hate their job. Over an hour wait for a prescription...while a client is waiting seems crazy. read more

This Walgreens is always busy. Don't seem like they ever have enough staff. The pharmacy is the only reason I come here.

This review is for the pharmacy! The BEST pharmacy ever!!!! The pharmacists here are outstandingly good at their job! They go above and beyond their jobs. Shout out to Jessica and Buchi (the two pharmacists who helped me today). I have never seen a pharmacy so slammed and so FAST. Not only are the fast, but they remember everyone who's waiting. Wow! Very impressive. They all need big time raises! Walgreens, I hope you are listening to this review! read more

I have a weekly appointment with a physician at 30 N Michigan. Although the Clark/Rogers pharmacy is .4 miles from my home, I try to wait until I'm at the 30 N Michigan pharmacy to fill my prescriptions. I recently dropped off a prescription for Lorazepam. I dropped it off (but didn't refill it because I forgot my wallet) at 30 N Michigan. I ordered it from Clark/Rogers, at least a week in advance of when i needed it. When i went to pick it up, I was told it was a controlled substance. I had to pick it up at 30 N Michigan. (Which closes at 6 on Friday until Monday morning) So, I was out of Lorazepam -- which prevents akathisia from the Latuda I take. I got to experience akathisia hell. For anyone who has experienced this, you have my DEEPEST SYMPATHY. Would it have killed a pharmacy tech to give me a heads up?! The Clark/Rogers pharmacy is bloody awful. Even other pharmacists say this. One more thing, I once waited 35 minutes in the drive-thru. I'm glad I had the foresight to put gas in my near empty tank!! read more

I Would like to thank and mention for outstanding customer service to Shanette who really made my experience shopping a pleasure.

Their pharmacy department has the most incompetent staff. They confuse your orders, don't have the prescriptions ready on time, cancel your prescriptions. The pharmacist even had the nerve to ask someone why they change insurance, as if it's any of her business. Many of my friends have changed location. I'm doing the same even though it's the closet Walgreens to my house. I prefer to go farther for better service. read more

The only reason I go to this pharmacy is because between my work and home, there is no where else to go. The pharmacy staff he is incompetent and rude. On several occasions have I called in a prescription, they tell me it will be ready by a certain time, then when I show up to pickup said prescription, they tell me they don't have it and it won't be available for days, or they can't give it to me for some reason or another. Today, I have a pressing illness that I need medication for immediately. I spoke with my DR. at 9:10 who told me he would call the pharmacy immediately with my prescription. I then called the pharmacy at 9:30 to find out how soon I could pickup my prescription. The girl I spoke with was totally rude. She told me that she didn't see that the Dr. called in, but that his message with the prescription could be on the voice mail and to call back later. I informed her that it was kind of an emergency, that I need to pickup my prescription ASAP, preferably in an hour (because that's how long they always say it will take), and asked that she have someone check the voice mails right away. She told me that she could not help me because they had other patients to attend to. Again I told her this was an emergency and I need my prescription right away. She basically didn't care, told me there was nothing she could do and told me to try back in an hour or two. If I had another pharmacy to go to, I would, but I don't, so unfortunately I am stuck dealing with the rude and unhelpful people there. read more
