Once I finished shopping, I was privileged to be in the checkout line to witness Target employee Chris interacting with the customers ahead of me. He was so professional and friendly, handling each person as if he knew them, issuing a warm smile with every interaction. I saw other Target associates come to him asking when to take their breaks or how to handle a particular issue. Chris quickly answered them without losing track of the task or customer in front of him. When it was my turn in line, I asked him how long he had been in management because he looked so young. To my surprise, he told me that he was not a manager. I wish more people with customer service jobs took the time to engage with those around them, as Chris at Target in Marion, IL, does. I went ahead and bought two. They suck compared to what I'd waited on for weeks. I wasn't told it was a mistake. I wasn't told the vapes were listed online by mistake. I was told that in less than 5 min, my items I had reserved were sold out from under me. What I ended up buying doesn't compare to what I had reserved. With senior discount I paid $145 for something that was recommended by a team member. I was one of the very first customers and I've spent thousands of $$ in the Marion store and this never once happened. I'm beyond livid and I'm done. I'll pay for the gas to go to Rise Effingham where the inventory is huge and I will get what I ordered. To top it off - this dispensary has a crappy inventory compared to surrounding dispensaries. I get excited about a magazine, a newspaper, a comic book, a romance, a crime thriller series, etc to where I want to learn and know more. With every book, magazine, or newspaper, I bought the right to mark up a book for my enlightenment and expand my knowledge. I am a life learner. And Barnes & Noble feeds that addiction. Why doesn't someone live in a Barnes & Noble, like the Capital One guy? I can't put a price on education. Getting a membership helps save money!
