While I think the staff here sometimes could be more attentive, it's not their fault there's maybe 2 employees manning the whole store. I did go here a lot, and what pissed me off the most were the times that the line was at least 6 people deep, one poor guy is at the register doing his best, and the manager is just casually doing inventory 2 aisles over. I've also seen her reprimand employees in similar impossible situations instead of stepping up and manning another register herself. This is a bad pharmacy and that's mostly because of corporate bs, but that doesn't mean they should be THIS bad, and the manager should be a better leader instead of dumping on the employees who are trying their best for the most part.

I was really pleased with the efficiency and friendliness of this small, no-frills pharmacy located at Kingston/Fulton in the heart of BedStuy. The pharamcist was really sweet, explained things very clearly to me, and aside from helping me with my prescriptions (free antibiotics when you can't afford them?! this is what medical care should look like!), he directed me to some over the counter medication to help my cough. I only waited TEN minutes to have my prescriptions filled - incredible. I definitely recommend this pharmacy. Along with the fact that they work with the BFC, they are polite and kind, and very basic. When I told the doctor that I already had at home the cough medicine he recommended (Mucinex - SERIOUSLY effective stuff), he didn't try to sell me anything else or upsell me or anything like that - he just told me good, he hoped I felt better soon. Aww. I pretty much love my new neighborhood. Bed Stuy or GTFO! :D

What this pharmacy has really going for it, is really competitive prices. The main prescription I use daily is one third of the price at this pharmacy. One third! I've been coming here for years when I lived in Crown Heights. After I moved to a different neighborhood in Brooklyn, I really struggled to find a pharmacy with similar prices. So, here I am, actually driving to Thriftway Pharmacy on Classon Ave., and saving money. The pharmacists are always courteous and fast. I usually call in advance and never had to wait much for a refill. And if you have to wait, you can always grab a beer at Covenhoven next door while you wait. Wheelchair accessible.
