I recommend them so much that my entire family now goes there too. From the friendly front desk crew to the hygienist, assistants, and dentists, everyone there is ridiculously nice. They've somehow made going to the dentist (a phrase that usually strikes fear into people everywhere) actually enjoyable. For the first time in my 40 years, I don't get nervous walking into a dental office. In fact, if insurance would cover it, I'd be getting my teeth cleaned once a month just for fun.

Sadly, our experience was not good. After several unreturned voice messages to the business, I was able to contact a receptionist by the name of Joyce, a friendly person. Joyce sounded sincere and helped us to figure out our insurance was out of network and after 2-3 reminders (phone and office pop-in's), Joyce did email me their services pricing so we could calculate our out of pocket costs for prophylaxis services. Our experience is that while the front end is friendly, consistent contact was problematic for prospective patients. I'd previously shared with Joyce my dissatisfaction with Aspen Dental's (who is In-Network) mandatory X-Ray policy, as the radiation impacts my health negative. Joyce indicated that it was a shame and that it was better we did not go to them. So, today it was surprising to me, when I managed to get an appointment for a basic cleaning and physical exam, just to get a call from Joyce canceling the appointment. According to Joyce, the dentist (Blake Besancene() refused to provide a basic exam and cleaning, unless I also purchased X-Rays- even though I have no tooth complaints. I again explained apart from the financial "out of pocket" burden, my own reluctance for radiation is for health reasons, and I offered that if an issue later arose when radiation was necessary for diagnostic purposes, I'd certainly agree to the encumbrance. I also asked to speak to the dentist himself so I might explain my reservations myself, but was told the dentist, Blake Besancenez was a very busy man until late 2025, which felt very disingenuous as I had a 3:00PM appointment for that very afternoon. I really, really wanted to join my fellow Yelper in giving these folks a great 5 Star review for awesome customer service... but sadly, as is so common these days- at Pevely Family Dentistry it's not about Family in our experience. It's certainly not about the customer's comfort, health, nor even a worry about their incurred financial burden with mandated and unnecessary services; ultimately it's about their own way or it's the highway. I did not feel cared for at all and truly it bums me out especially going into the Christmas week. It is of note that Charles Hurley (the presently listed dentist for this business) no longer owns this dentistry, and has sold it approximately 4 years ago. Blake Besancenez did me the courtesy of a phone call and listened to my explanation, though still insisted no dental services would be better for me than to just provide a cleaning, as this was his "own rule" as having full operational control. I cannot express deeply enough my disappointment in this man.

My…read morehusband is on multiple medications and they manage to eliminate, be out of stock, etc. he had a new order for insulin and they told me it was on backorder and I would have to go to a different pharmacy, but I was gonna have to call around myself because they didn't have time to do that. When I called the other Arnold Walgreens. the pharmacist on Jeffco informed me that Vogel absolutely had a replacement for it and could have filled it. There was a generic option and generic was approved by the physician. Vogel was just too lazy to do that. Insulin is an extremely important medicine for a diabetic and no one even cared and didn't even call us when they didn't fill it. There has never any communication about anything from them. It's all hit and miss without any clinical thought involved. Someone higher up should look into this Pharmacy. I am an advanced degree nurse and I've spoken to them several times about the mistakes they make and the medications they failed to provide without notification. They never care.

Then the worst thing happened. My tooth broke and even though I babied it for months so I wouldn't have to go see a dentist, it eventually fought back. The gums became infected and then one day the nerve touched the infection and I felt a pain I had never experienced....and I have four children. I was desperate and called JL Dental. Dr. Laura Mears fit me in right away and everyone in the office was amazing. After getting rid of the infection she brought me in for a root canal. It really was a breeze. She and her assistant were kind, gentle, and explained every step as they did it. I felt very comfortable and I am extremely pleased with the care I received. I will go back for my crown and will likely continue my care to avoid emergencies in the future.
