That being said I have found some nice sales that I wasn't looking for but I was happy to have run across them. I love finding those little orange tags and catching some deals. I've run into a few issues with the pharmacy and I reccomend those attempting to use it do a bit of research. My insurance isn't great and I've had to search for cheaper options. I've found that Walgreens tends to have some the highest prices on certain medications and they don't make compounds that I need. These are things I wish I would have known before I was talked into buy into the prescription program that has done nothing for me. So I called the pediatrician's office and they said they called it in. I went inside to double check and the guy behind the counter found that it was in there but had been deleted for some reason. One, I had a family member go in to pick my scripts as I was at home sick, they said they had three scripts (which was right) but then they only gave her two and told her that if the third one was really mine I would need to come back in and get it. This is one of the newer large design Shoppers Drug Marts that has a separate room for beauty and cosmetic supplies and perfumes. The new design stores also typically have a well stocked grocery and beverage area as well as the typical pharmacy and over the counter drugs products and services. This location had all these features and I wished I had more time to shop and explore the new summer shelves with toys for kids and sunscreen lotions and so on. I saw light up rubber balls that looked like fun. The post office clerk was very patient and helpful while I assembled my package of documents, got a big bubble wrap envelope and addressed it and discussed the options for Priority Post and Signed Delivery. They had a beautiful coin collection at the post office counter. Generally a much nicer Shoppers than the smaller one in my have nots neighbourhood, which does NOT have a big separate beauty section like this. In the grocery and household products section of the pharmacy, I picked up some needed bathroom supplies and then BONUS! I noticed that they still had some half price Easter chocolates! It was the day after Easter Monday and believe me, in local groceries and supermarkets in Toronto, there are seldom much Easter bargains the next week left for chocoholics like me to snatch and grab.
