DO NOT SKATE HERE--THIS PLACE IS DANGEROUS AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY. I am writing this review so NO ONE ELSE has to go through what I did. What should have been a fun day turned into a life-changing injury because of this skating rink's NEGLIGENCE. December 28th changed my life forever I suffered a severe ankle injury at this rink when children--who were NOT supposed to be playing tag--knocked me over. I landed on my ankle in unbearable pain, unable to move. Instead of helping, the staff: Yelled at me to stop moving my leg while I was visibly struggling in pain. Did NOT provide ice, elevation, or any first aid--absolutely NOTHING. Wheeled me off the floor in a COMPUTER CHAIR and left me there like I was a problem, instead of a human in distress. Ignored the fact that their own rules were broken and refused to take responsibility. Made me fill out an incident report, yet acted like they couldn't care less about my injury. I was left there, completely unattended, until an ambulance arrived. This Injury Changed My Life. After being abandoned by the skating rink staff, I was taken to the ER, where I received even more negligent treatment. Due to how poorly everything was handled, I later found out that I needed surgery to have plates and screws placed in my ankle. I am now out of work for 6-12 months, struggling financially, and dealing with both physical and emotional pain that could have been avoided if this skating rink actually enforced safety rules. It Gets Even Worse. When I needed a copy of my incident report for my injury, I couldn't drive because of my surgery, so my friend went to pick it up for me. Instead of being professional, the staff gave them an attitude, were rude, and acted completely dismissive. They made it clear they do not care about injured customers. This Place is a Public Safety Hazard. Since my accident, I've learned that this skating rink has a history of unsafe conditions, injuries, and complaints, yet they continue to take money without making ANY improvements. They refuse to enforce safety rules, do not offer medical assistance when someone gets hurt, and treat injured customers like an inconvenience. If this place keeps operating like this, it's only a matter of time before someone else gets seriously injured AGAIN --or worse. DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY HERE. If you or your child gets injured, expect: ZERO help. ZERO accountability. ZERO professionalism. This rink needs to be investigated, shut down, or completely reformed before more people get hurt. If you value your safety, go somewhere else. This skating ring needs to close down. It's the worst skating rink probably in the world. The floor is messed up with cracks and lumps. If you are a skater, please don't use your good wheels on the skate, because you will destroy them. It's very dirty and tries to cater to kids but it''s awful. read more

Warning- you are going to step into a time machine, but this place is great for what it is. If you want to roller skate and have fun...perfect. It is not fancy at all, but it is clean. The rink is a good size to roll around in and the rental skates were good quality. I went on 1/22/22 and they required masks. It honestly still looks a lot like it did in the 90s, but is smaller. I actually like the old, retro vibe. They played enjoyable music and alternated between fully lighting the rink and using the disco ball. There are lockers to rent and benches (older- made from plywood) to sit on while watching or resting. There is a very small snack bar with decent prices. (Has popsicles, chips, cookies, and drinks). It cost $10 to get in and $2 to rent skates. There was an advertisement that Tuesday night is half price to get in. I was very pleased that they didn't charge me to just sit and watch (I didn't skate). The teenagers I took had a great time! read more

The team there is very nice. The facility is small however that's fine with me because it gives off a family vibe. I'm a single woman and feel safe going there alone. The few times I've been it was a families bringing their children and some teens skating and having fun... and everyone was great no rowdiness or drama. I believe they recently renovated the place so I didn't witness any bad smells or dirty areas like mentioned in previous reviews. The location is kinda hidden tucked behind a small strip mall attached to a furniture store. They do not have or allow skater aides(walkers) for those learning how to skate. A few things I wish this location had is: 1. Skating lessons, 2. Skating aides, 3. Daily hours (they are closed Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays). read more

Our camp went to Waldorf Skate and Jerry was extremely rude to the campers and counselors. Soon as we arrived he gather the kids together and pretty much yelled the rule of the skating ring. Also there was NO air conditioning in the facility nor did he have any rail to support the skaters. The skates was really worn and and unfortunately one of the counselor caught athletes feet. When I asked Jerry for a cup of ice because one of our campers was feeling dizzy because she was so hot he told me that he doesn't give out cups of water. One of the camper bought a drink for $1.25 she gave him 2.00 and he didn't give her any change back from her purchase. The over all experience was a nightmare and we will not return nor referring anyone to this facility. Its nasty and Jerry is super rude So beware of Jerry he will approach you at the Xscape movie Theater in Waldorf and appears to be a nice gentleman but really is a devil in disguise. read more

I drove past like three times before I actually saw the place. It shares a building with some random furniture store and behind a Pizza Hut. Once you enter, you can see the facilities has not been renovated since it was built, maybe the '70s... it's really starting to show its age. The $ 7 cost is an entrance fee, skating or not, but there is a $2 rental for skates. read more

This is an ok place for teenagers that live in the area.... Maybe. Before you come here consider this: - difficult to find. Forget using a GPS and even Siri is confused. The place is behind a Pizza Hut in a building that is shared with Princess Furniture store. - badly outdated. The rink itself is so in great need of repairs. There is a spot at the back of the wall that they have don't a patch job--- if you goo over it too fast it could cause an accident. Also, the skates are so old that they are almost falling apart. - Small. This place barely has space to move around. The teenagers like to line up against the wall which is also the pathway for you to go from getting your skates to putting your shoes in the lockers. Very inconvenient and difficult passage with the teeny boppers blocking the way. - Food. Minimal selection. Mostly hot dogs. Pizza and chips. Prices are good though. Don't take a date here. I wouldn't even recommend it for your kids. Although I should say that there is a policeman on site. So fairly safe. read more

This skating ring is so disgusting ! There are spiders in the bathroom , when you walk in it smelled like pee and sweat , I would never eat from there ,the only thing that is clean is the pizza and that's only because they ordered from Pizza Hut ,they make so much money and the place still looks the same very dark , dingy , lonely it's in the cut and , the place is so small it's been years they need to get an expansion there right next to a princess furniture shop I never knew there was something back there this place is disgusting last time I will ever go there I do not recommend this place is unsanitary and disgusting. Do not waste your time here, like seriously. This place has downgraded a lot since my last visit. I always knew the owner was very rude (and creepy), to customers and employees, (which, rude owners will lose my business in a heartbeat) but the lady in the office was really nice and sympathetic so I didn't mind going anyway just to skate. Well I overheard from other customers that the lady that's always there was fired for being a couple minutes late to work because she was helping her daughter set up her wedding. That's messed up. I don't have respect for bosses that treat their employees bad. Now the place has just got creepy employees, it smells bad, and the music isn't even current. I wouldn't bother coming here. Hopefully a new skating rink will open and put them out of business. read more

It's really sad that this is our neighborhood skating rink. I'd buy the thing just so someone could put some kind of pride into it. Skating rinks aren't suppose to look like this. The skates are at least 40 years old. The music sucks. The lighting sucks. I cant review the food because I'd be damned if I ate there. It stinks. It's like the place opened in 1960 and hasn't been touched since. Driving 45 minutes to the skate zone in Crofton is worth it. I don't know how in the world in the owner here thinks he should be charging the same amount as Skate zone. lol read more

This place is small, musty, and poorly lighted. I love skating, but avoid this place. The owner needs to invest a few thousand in the facility, or get a new place altogether. That said, it's cheap and the kids usually don't care. read more

This skating rink is very old but the inside brings families togeather with joyful play. I say that one of the worst qualities about this skating rink is THEY DONT LIKE TO ANSWER THE PHONE . But other than that I say that it is surprisingly cheap and it works for my family. read more

i have many memories. went every weekend. hung out with friends and skated the night away. may be an old building, may need repairs.. if you dont go and deal with what you see and pay to skate the owner can not do repairs.. great excerise. you could live in an area with nothing for children to have fun, except get into trouble. I wish I still lived in Waldorf, Maryland. miss skating.. I moved to Ohio The rinks here are the size of a double wide. No joike! After years moving to Ohio, and rinks the size of a double wide. I got rid of my skates.. Last, when i went back to visit waldorf and seen that roller rink closed and furinture store moved in, I decided my world crushed. Another reason I got rid of my skates.
