While I waited in the party check-in line, an adult guest and her two girls stood way too close to me. We all discovered that all she wanted was socks. She wasn't with a party, which means the front desk could have handled her request instead of her literally breathing down my neck. So rude! Anyways, the boys enjoyed themselves! Our party host was great! She was available as we needed. I didn't realize that the party area would not be an enclosed room. Besides that, I liked the set up. Overall, it was a good time minus a few hiccups. I'm sure I'll be back at some point.

There are silly little rules for everything. I can't stand that. When you pay over $100 for one person to play, the least they can do is leave you alone and allow you to play your game. This is Birmingham, there are great affordable courses everywhere available--courses who'll leave you alone and stay out of your head and allow you to play without stupid arbitrary rules.. but this ain't one of 'em. One of my friends is a fairly avid golfer and gave up even putting on some of these hold because "the greens are awful." I'm no expert, but love having something to blame my poor performance on. So, yes, the putting greens were very slow and not the best manicured thing in the world. There were also a few stray dogs running around. The dudes up in the clubhouse were friendly and we didn't have to do any waiting to get out there. The carts had those little screens that give you all the information on the holes as you get to them (par, distance, etc). I do think there could have been more water stations out, I think we only hit one at hole 10. It was a hot day. I would totally golf here again, but bear in mind I'm just out here to putz around.
