I'm not a fan of the Walmart chain. However this has been the best Walmart experience I've ever had. The store and restroom were clean. The staff and cashiers were helpful and friendly. Of course, the exchange into American dollars saved me some money. Win-win. Some nice Canadian sports attire, I bought a hoodie jacket that looks warm and stylish. After thought - Walmart prices are not the cheapest for all things. Quite surprising, namebrand, detergents here cost several dollars more than the dollar store. Over all I find this WalMart to be a good store. My main suggestion is there needs to be more variety of diabetic, sugar free items in store. The Glucerna comes in Vanilla or chocolate. But I know there are many more flavors. And their own brand does not do a sugar free replacement meal. As for pop selections there are very few. Only 1 diet root beer, limited diet colas and no 2 liters diet cold with added flavoring like cherry, lemon, lime, vanilla. More variety would be nice and shelf price sticker need to be larger for seeing impaired customers. Especially ones on the bottom. Scooters need more maintenance as well. And if they added carts for people in wheelchairs that would be nice. read more

A good location with lots of selection of merchandise. Their grocery area has lots of fully stocked shelves. The place is very clean, everywhere you look, and the greeter is very friendly. I shopped at the Welland Walmart store #3110 at 102 Primeway Dr, yesterday September 6/2023 and I had a very unpleasant experience. The staff managing the self-checkout points at that store are rude in general, but my yesterday's experience drove me to write this review to raise awareness to other shoppers and hopefully to some managerial staff that could intervene and put things in order there. The assistant that was managing the checkout island where I was paying was very rude when I asked her something related to the price on one of my items. From her chair and in a very loud and patronizing voice she told me what to do and I did it, but I did not like her manners at all. I found her to be condescending and unprofessional. I paid and walked towards the exit, when another assistant from the next checkout island was yelling rudely at an elderly man whose machine prompted the need for assistance. He was looking around hoping to see someone from the store who could help him. The checkout assistant came towards him yelling that he should look in her direction when she is talking to him. The man looked confused and embarrassed, not understanding what he had done to deserve such yelling, when all he was doing was to look around for some help. Walmart management should be doing something about their staff's rudeness because this is unacceptable. Walmart staff should show some respect and gratitude towards shoppers because after all, the store exists due to the shoppers. read more

Numbah threee !!! - To begin : The closing of the men's change rooms . Umm , hellooo ? Sure they smell & could have been programmed with a better sense of direction but they still need their own change rooms . I do NOT want to trying on a summer bikini with some guy in the next stall , I'm sorry but I'm conventional that way . Females & males have always had separate everything , why change that now ? So instead of being comfortable in their own area of the store , they now have to trek to the other side & try on their sweaters & what have you amoungst the bras & tidey widey's of us women . Distrubing ? Next on the list : their lack of available staff . Oh yes , they have staff on the check outs & at the ONE change centre now , but when I have a quesiton about a bed-in-a-bag , for example , I don't want to have to make my way over the electronics section to ask it . They aren't going to know anything so what ends up happening is they intercom someone who would know & that takes for EVER so when they finally get there I have to remember my now pointless question . Canadian Tire has the right idea with those call buttons on the isles . At least the emplyees know where to go & who to send . & thirdly on my list are those stupid self check out systems . I have too many words about those as every one of my experiences with them has ended up in my throwing my hands up in frustration at LEAST 6 times & moving to a long line with a real person doing the job they were hired for . Don't get my wrong , the idea is good but the technology is crap . end up scanning 5 battery packs when I only want one because the little red laser thingy doesn't work untill your ready to move on . All in all I just think that mamnagement really needs to sit down together & get some ideas flowing on customer satisfaction here . read more

This message is for people who are doing instacart as we know we need lots of energy and patience to find the stuff and different orders from every department.....I will highly recommend this Associate to everyone who is doing specially instacart business, her name is Rihanna if I am not mistaken she is very professional she knows everything in every department ,I have been there 3 times and i directly went to her and showed her pictures what I need she will help you out in any situation with her beautiful smile !! The auto and tire repair department of this wal mart is just totally awesome, we told the friendly and helpful workers and crew about our serious tire trouble and they honestly did to the best of their ability to locate a compatible tire for us and to install it in the right rear corner. Just recently went in to the Welland store after being in Florida all winter! To my pleasure they have opened a whole new grocery section, which includes meats, deli, and bakery! While I was there I met a very lovely woman by the name of Suzanne, in the bakery section, who was all to happy to help guide me through the new part and all the wonderful products. Being there for the first time I was quite confused... She laughed off my apologies (she loved to smile) and kept saying it was her pleasure. I have never met a more pleasant and sincere person in all my years. I'm not sure of her position at Walmart, but this girl deserves a raise and a job as the Walmart hostess... Thanks for a great experience Walmart , here's to hoping she is on duty the next visit I make. Would love to say hello. read more

Well typical wal mart disappointment, I used to go in back and see a well organized sneaker selection on back wall, good selection and always purchased the same brand, now what a disorganized mess, couldn't find my brand or seen it, looked for 10 min, ,I used to buy 3 pairs at a time because when I went, it was a hit and miss, same for the men's clothing section, always purchased wrangler jeans, 3 pairs at a time, every single time I go to find my size and new elastic waist band type, shelf always empty or no colour selection, I give up. will make the trip to St Kitts and Falls to see if it's better, same for socks and underwear section, , store always looks like what you need is always half stocked, gonna find a new sneaker store for sure, or just go to Port at the fact outlet,, I do admit they have great 2 for $10.00 deals on bakery brand name pies, other wise store has really sucked for me the last couple years, Manager needs to be on the ball, should always walk the aisle and ask staff for in put, I spent a lot on money there , time to look for an alternative read more
