They just opened the business centre at this location on Thursday. They carry out the items that regular Costco's have and also a great assortment of new items in more bulk and suitable for businesses. The aisles were well-organized and shelves were well-stocked. My husband is obsessed with Costco. We're from Nevada, so we visit them whenever we're on vacation to stock up on any goods for the week. When I saw the reviews, I warned him that people were not fond of the customer service at this location. I was hungry when we arrived so we went straight to the food court and then strolled the store looking for a couple items. We had plenty of questions from the food court to looking for things around the store and how our American money would convert with this being our first time to Canada. Every single employee was not only delightful, but we even chatted with a couple of employees folding clothes and they even gave us some tips about local places to visit. Aside from the food court purchases, we ended up not even buying anything else. However, we found it worth the time to let people know they do have some great employees in there. read more

Darn the good deals at Costco or else I would not go here based on service. The only place people are ok are at Membership...when you are renewing. The cashiers and helpers do not make eye contact and there is zero service given and you are looked at like a hinderance. Considering they pay very well, you would think the people working there would be happier. Any worker on the floor avoids eye contact. I want a job here, to get paid to do very little and get paid well and only get in as a ''on a who you know policy'' does make sense when all the workers are the same. This is now the closest Costco to me, which kind of sucks. They really need to add a US Costco to somewhere in the Buffalo area! Anyhoo, I stopped in here and bought a blanket. It's your standard Costco. If you've been in one, you know how they're laid out. You can pretty much walk into any Costco in North American and they're going to look the same, except the products slightly vary. I wrote to Costco corporate, complaining about the HUGE lineups outside this location since the pandemic started when MOST stores in GTA have lines that move really fast. A manager named Jennifer replied, that if I had a return, I don't have to line up in the normal line up outside for the store, that I can go straight to the returns counter, return my stuff then proceed into the store if I wanted. I did that today, and I was told by Karen, that I have to line up, in 3 long lines of people, return my stuff, then proceed into the store. This change in policy, which is not posted anywhere and makes for really bad customer service. At the same time, and my main complaint is the slow-moving, long line outside, 3 lines thick, that ONLY happens at the St Catharines location. Since the pandemic started, I have been to 2 Mississauga locations and Stoney Creek and there is nothing like this. If there is a line, it moves, at a good click. Not in St Catharines. You can stay there for hours. I think the store is real badly managed that way. I don't think the employees sitting outside managing the line have any clue what they're doing. I have friends living in Richmond Hill and throughout GTA and have no issues with getting in a store. I have decided not to shop in St Catharines anymore, but instead to drive to Stoney Creek, inconvenient, but at least I'm in and out quicker. It is ridiculous. I cannot wait for the new Niagara Falls store to see what happens and I will only go there if the line moves faster. I will enter similar reviews in social media to display my unhappiness with this issue as I do not think it is normal. Something is off about this store being the only one with long outside lines 5-6 months after the pandemic started. They're acting like at the beginning of the pandemic when the infection numbers were higher. I think that is the problem. read more

This is a life saving Costco since it is the only one in the area. This is a great place for buying bulk items, stuffing your face with free food samples, stuffing your face with cheap hot dogs, stuffing your face with cheap ice cream, and generally just being a gluttonous bastard. I like going to browse all of the excess stuff I don't need while stuffing my face with junk. I also buy supplements here such as protein and fish oil as they are usually well priced. It is very busy on weekends, so to avoid line ups and having to park at the furthest possible spot the weekday is usually the best time to go. read more

I have never been treated so rudely as a customer as I was here. I had brought my wife's car into change the snow tires over and Jeff ( I assume the tire service manager)came out to tell me that because my wife is the member that she would need to come in and in fact it was illegal for me to sign the authorization order. This was after they cancelled our order because there was one number missing on the online order. My wife called back at least 4times to straighten out the order but no one answered at the tire centre so she called customer service at the store and they put her thru. The whole experience was embarrassing for their staff as they had to listen to Jeff read me the riot act. I will give one star because the tires were changed read more

Costco is a great place to get bulk items at a discount price, you have to pay for a membership but you get your money's worth. Also has a great restaurant that is very cheaply priced. Who can argue with a large hot dog and drink for $1.50?! read more

Decent pricing, bulk goods with the benefits of being a member. Customer service is fine when you find an associate. Not a fan of lineups at check-outs. Membership definitely has it's rewards. read more

This is the store to go to if you need to stock up on supplies for the coming Zombie apocalypse. Also good for finding a special deal on something you may or may not have realized that you needed. All in all, the best big box store out there. With Executive Membership you also get 2% cash back on all your purchases. This can add up and frequently covers the cost of said membership and then some. I buy bulk items and higher ticket items here because of the quality and price of their merch. Often the best deal in town. Don't get carried away because bulk items can add up quick. Try to stay away from impulsive purchases particularly the more expensive and less essential stuff. These can quickly wipe out any potential savings made on your regular items. And remember, you never want to be featured on A&E's Hoarders show! read more

I agree with Maria S about feeling the arrogance and unwelcoming atmosphere at Costco St Catharines at the Customer Service, food service and Cash compared to the Costco stores in Markham where we shopped for several years since they opened on Woodbine and Kirkham. I bought a 100 stamp package which is in a cardboard package, I go to the cash register with several other items, When the cashier finished giving me the receipt she did not hand me the roll of 100 stamps. I wondered where the cardboard package went to and came back a day later to find out what happened to them.I was told that I would have been handed the stamps in a tight roll at the cash register I didn't know this.This did not occur. But to no avail. I'm out 54 dollars. read more
