The cookies lean more towards the thin and crispy end of the spectrum, which goes well with tea or coffee. My favorite is the Italian butter cookie since there's a hint of lemon that is pleasant. The sticky buns are fantastic and the cheesecake is rich and decadent, though the crust is a lot thicker than I'm used to. The cannolis are probably my least favorite, but they're still solid. We've also had the scones, muffins, and these butter garlic knot things. All very good.

This place is beautiful, fresh, adorably decorated, and the owners even renovated part of the next door apartment and added it into seating space. I tried the peach cream drink. It's sprite, peach syrup and cream over ice cubes. It was really good! I chose the 16 ounce size for 4.50. I also purchased a set of 6 ice cream sandwiches for later! They looked so great! I thought the value was there for 6.75. My husband pointed them out to me. We weren't home long before we both tried then- creamy vanilla ice-cream between two chocolate cookies. The cookies were crisp- not soggy like you would expect. The help was friendly and spunky. I appreciated the enthusiasm. We had a really nice discussion with the owners. I was completely amazed at the beautiful renovations they did on this building. They also added some picnic tables, and umbrellas in the back. There are also bathrooms for use that are easily accessible if you are outside. The business is so new that there are no business cards and no website- but they are all in the works. For now the hours are 12pm - 9pm 7 days a week. Since I am a Gigi myself I just had to ask if the Gigi's shirts will be for sale and yes they will!! They also have coffee cups too. I love this business and I wish them well. Tamaqua needs businesses like this. Please go show your support and enjoy a treat at Gigi's. Besides ice-cream I saw Churros, pretzel bites and packaged sweet rolls for sale. I can't wait to return and bring my grandchildren with me. There is nothing not to love here and I especially can appreciate the space since I saw what it was before the upgrades that Gigi did. I never in my wildest dreams could have envisioned the space like the Gigi business owners. Wishing you years upon years of success and families creating traditions here.
