I went to this location, and got there about 10 minutes after they opened. I should have gone 30 minutes before they opened. The place was packed when I got there with about 50 people waiting. It took me an hour just for them to call my number. It turned out that, even if you call, and they say you have the correct paperwork, that you might not, as was the case when I went. When I got to the window, they said that when you call, the person that answers the phone sometimes gives out wrong information, and it used to happen all the time. I just went to save time on mailing paperwork back and forth, which might add up to weeks. So, I guess I will get the correct paperwork, and then next time get there really early.

I really love the drive-thru book drop off. I usually swing by before I bring my son to school and it's very convenient that we all don't have to get out of the car to return the books. I also love the self checkout stations inside the library. They are pretty magical, especially if you are checking out a ton of books. The children's section is great! It's set up in a way that is very clear and easy to follow depending on what age group you are looking for. I loved the candy land inspired interactive game they had setup in December. My son had so much fun checking it out. I especially loved that it was open if the library was open, you didn't have to go in at a specific time. I also love their Lucky Day section at the front of the library. You might get lucky and score a book that would otherwise have a super long waitlist. Such a neat concept! In general Wake County's online library system is awesome. It's so easy to reserve books and e-books as well. At North to pick up your books just head straight in towards the back by the main checkout desk. You can easily find what you need in alphabetical order there. I used the word love a lot of times in this review, but I really do truly love our Wake County library system. It's the best!!

I had just started a new job in Raleigh and chose this location because it was less than five minutes from my workplace. I went there to pay my vehicle property taxes and expected the process to be fairly simple. I waited in line for more than 30 minutes. During that time, another customer came in after I had already been waiting and stood in a separate line where no clerk was assisting customers. When a clerk Mrs Charlene eventually became available, that customer was helped before those of us who had already been waiting. What made the situation even worse was the rude and unprofessional attitude of the clerk. I understand that employees can have busy and stressful days, but customers should still be treated with basic courtesy and respect. I left feeling that my time was not respected and that the situation was handled unfairly. Waiting over 30 minutes is frustrating enough, but being treated rudely on top of that made the experience especially disappointing. I hope management will look into how customers are being handled at this location and address the issue of both customer service and how the lines are being managed. People come to these offices because they need a service, and they deserve to be treated fairly and respectfully.
