From my perspective, Cary continues to be a safe, clean, up-and-coming town with a lot of smart people. It seems like a great place to raise a family. I've heard Cary referred to as "Cannot Afford Raleigh Yet" and "Containment Area for Relocated Yankees." Haha. Seriously though, with all the new construction in recent and forthcoming years, I can see the appeal in living here as opposed to Raleigh. Just look at places like Fenton as one example. In this Yelp review, I list my top 10 restaurants in Cary from our time in the Triangle, June 2020 through July 2024: 1. Herons - One of my top two restaurants in the Triangle including Fearrington House. True fine dining for special occasions. https://www.yelp.com/biz/herons-cary-2 2. Szechuan Mansion Hotpot - Best Chinese hot pot in the Triangle. https://www.yelp.com/biz/szechuan-mansion-hotpot-cary 3. Seol Grille - Best Korean barbecue in the Triangle, that we tried. https://www.yelp.com/biz/seol-grille-cary-3 4. Chengdu 7 Sichuan Cuisine - Outstanding Sichuan food. https://www.yelp.com/biz/chengdu-7-sichuan-cuisine-cary 5. Ideal for brunch. https://www.yelp.com/biz/peck-and-plume-cary-2 ** Downtown Cary Park - Not a restaurant, so I'm making an exception here, but you've got to check out this new $68 million municipal park. https://www.yelp.com/biz/downtown-cary-park-cary

The household I'm not getting away from yet just delights in making "natural" treating everyone like pets or little kids to overcompensate feeling like kids or little pets, and when someone doesn't just take orders or makes everyone feel alive, "punishment", psychiatric drugs, hospital commitments, and yes, cop calls. We've had valid calls to the cops no matter who's responsible, but because of few options for intervention and a poor admission of accountability in the household and trying to figure out which resident or guest takes the weight of response, the police in the end coming for nothing, and no action is taken by anyone. ANYONE, police NOT exclusive, I emphasize. They're composed during responses, can handle straightforward procedure well, there's enough dialogue they maintain to get an extent of facts. Although I don't attribute this solely to the police, there's a rigidity of certain protocols, there does need to be more communication of situations to figure out solutions, and circumstances do need to be weighed accordingly to make that right solution by everyone's efforts as we're involved. But the communities need to step up to that too, half the houses at the suburban division I'm at need police intervention at least once, the vast majority of the CITY, "safest in America", BLAMES anyone who has the thought on their mind and when people cry from being afraid to face the reality when someone brings it up. As much as the community needs to get over their reservations, take deep breaths, and settle all problems instead of treat this region like the business "ticket out and to the world" district it is, the police should be open and ready too, without stressing themselves and walking or sprinting through as needed, and the city as a whole needs to welcome the (I've very sure) significant extent of the police already inclined and hopeful. We've had great responses, we talk things out, address things accordingly, consider keeping information on file, etc. There needs to be mature, personal dynamics of not assuming about everyone else and sacrificing enough stagnancy to just walk through circumstances to the end, especially with the risk of worsening. I'm here when everyone's ready, best of luck.

I rescheduled for 730am Nov 1st and it was freezing outside, but I had a very good experience overall. A couple tips I wanted to share that I haven't yet seen on the reviews. If you have an appointment, go inside right away and check in with the desk so you can get a number. I arrived at 7:15 and was told by one employee to simply have a seat and I'd be called at my appt time. My appt time came and went and over a dozen walkins were brought in during that time. At 7:35, I checked in at the desk and was told that I should've done that already as soon as I arrived. My paperwork was verified and I was given a ticket. I received a text with my ticket number as well. I was prepared to wait forever since I hadn't checked in immediately. Thankfully, my number was called almost immediately at 7:40. The clerk was very pleasant and friendly. I was out by 8 with my new drivers license, less than an hour after arrival. I can't stress this enough, but it really pays to be friendly and polite. I smiled at everyone and they were all courteous in return. If you don't speak English, please make sure you know what you need because the employees only speak English and had a tough time understanding those who did not. A translator will not be provided. My last warning: the employees were extremely communicative and gave updates every few minutes. They told us all that the kids were out of school today so many of them wanted to take their road test and the wait would be 3-5 hours. You must make an appointment if you don't want to wait forever. They also told us that if we got tired or cranky that we should just leave. Parents were also asked to wait in their cars and not inside with their teen in order to allow more chairs for other patrons. I moved from out of state and already had a RealID so I brought my SS card, drivers license, water bill, electric bill, and car insurance verification. These were all required and worked out for me. I took the vision test and there were 20 road signs on the test that I had to read out. The first 16 are normal signs but the last 4 are completely blank and you just have to recognize the shape, which is really confusing. Some are obvious like a stop sign, but I didn't recognize the shape of a "no passing zone" sign. It was the only one I missed so not a big deal but just a heads up. Study the signs while you're waiting. They have printouts at the front desk. I'll add more tips if I think of them. I was prepared to wait for hours even with an appointment and I was pleasantly surprised.

They tell you not to get there any earlier than 15 before your appointment- don't believe it because they will take everyone else as a walk in that got there before you. Once they take your documents they send you back OUTSIDE to wait while they take all the walk ins, which is actually inhumane in this heat. Plan to go on a day with nice weather, for sitting outside for god knows how long. Glad I don't have to do this very often. NC- get your act together

The internet isn't as strong as I think it should be for the amount of people who use it! I do appreciate that the librarians have tables set up with their favorite books.
