I had the most perfect scone from Wake n Bake today! The outside had a crisp texture, while the inside was soft, tender, and almost biscuit-like. I tried the cranberry white chocolate scone, and it was absolutely delicious. I also sampled the cherry turnover, which was equally yummy. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Super adorable bakery/coffee shop. I stopped to use the restroom at the gas station and saw there was a coffee shop connected to it. They had so many different baked goods and even some breakfast items like breakfast burrito and breakfast English muffins. I got the English muffin and it was delicious. I didn't get any coffee because I had already had a giant one earlier in the morning but they had so many different creative drinks that I definitely want to grab one on the way back. I am not a coffee person. So, you will have to read someone else's review for that. Last even slightly negative thing I will say. When you walk into this shop, you have walked into your taste bud's definition of heaven. They do mostly sweets, but also have savory. It doesn't matter. It is all wonderful. If you are not sure what you would like to try, the staff are there to help. Their service is excellent. The sofa's make waiting or eating quiet cozy. The hazelnut shell things are amazing and - the cinnamon rolls - I have not had a really good cinnamon roll in years, until now. It's connected to a gas station so there's ample parking. They have quite the selection of baked goods as well as coffees and breakfast burritos. I had the glazed coconut pecan bread and it was delicious! I've never had a bread like that and it was fantastic. The rice crispy treat was giant. My sister got an apple turnover which was incredibly flaky. The espresso machine wasn't working which was fine because we came for the baked goods. Staff was friendly and fast. And the scones were also burnt. 48.00 is a lot of money. But disabled vets birthday. The Tiramisu & Banana bread good. Other items were mediocre at best. Of course I'll return.
