Excellent food and service! The oxtail patty was a favorite. The space is not the nicest, but the staff is incredible and very kind. Some of the menu options were unavailable, unfortunately. skip the "fresh" juice.

It's located in the inner harbor indoor mall area. It was easy to find and they have plenty of seating. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted. I had scanned the menu on QR code and was given water. I love Jamaican food and have been on the hunt for a good spot in the DMV area for a long time. I heard about this place on TikTok and decided to give it a try. That being said the food is somewhat pricey average is $20-$30. I came to try the oxtails so I got the traditional platter it comes in a medium size bowl. It has rice and peas, cabbage, sweet plantains and 3 large oxtails. The cabbage was very sweet and salty not my fav. The rice and peas were good and had the oxtail sauce on it. The sweet plantains were very good, not mushy or too tender. The oxtails fell off the bone and were super easy to eat. It had more meat than fat. That being said it didn't really have any flavor but it was the right consistency and tasted okay. I probably wouldn't drive out of my way for it but if I was in the area I would get it. Lastly I got one of their juices the pineapple mint. It was somewhat icy like a slight slushy texture but it was refreshing. Not too sweet.

It was a little hard to find, but once we did it was well worth the search. Very small quaint area in the mall blocked by dividers. It was not that busy so we walked right in. Our server was great and very prompt especially for him to be the only server. He also offered us board games while we waited for our food. Be aware, you can't make any menu substitutions for sides but I didn't mind. We got the Oxtail Sauce Wings, Rasta Pasta, and the Blueberry Ginger Juice. All were very flavorful (especially the refreshing juice). This was probably my favorite food I had while in Baltimore.

-- 7/10 Experience at Waiting to Oxtail I visited Waiting to Oxtail this past Saturday after seeing a TikTok review that made the food look amazing -- flavorful, well-seasoned, and overall worth the trip. Unfortunately, my experience didn't fully live up to the hype. The location is inside the Inner Harbor Mall in Baltimore, and it's more of a carryout setup with just a few tables in the middle of the mall -- not really a restaurant vibe. I understand it's a newer business, but presentation matters, and it could definitely be improved. When we arrived, we asked for menus, but they told us everything is digital -- no physical copies available. So if you don't have your phone, you can't order. Once we looked online, we noticed a lot of items were sold out. I originally wanted to try the mac & cheese with oxtail, but they were out of that and several other dishes. My friend and I ended up getting the Oxtail Rasta Pasta. The Rasta Pasta was okay -- I'd rate it a 7/10. It tasted decent but was too watery and lacked that rich, flavorful sauce you expect. The seasoning didn't really stick to the noodles, and it didn't feel like a true Rasta Pasta. They also didn't have Parmesan cheese, even though it's shown in the photos, and were out of collard greens too. A few groups actually walked away while we were sitting there, and I could see why -- being out of so many menu items so early is not a good look for a new spot. When it came time to pay, we ran into another issue. We had $100 cash, but they didn't have change and said they don't start the day with any cash on hand -- they rely on what comes in from customers. For any business, you should at least start the day with a small amount of cash for change. They ended up sending someone to another store to get change, which took a while. It would help if they had a sign saying they don't accept bills over $20 or that they're card-only. Customer service was also just okay. It seemed like a new server was in training, but no one came to check on us after dropping the food, and the team overall seemed flustered. The man behind the register was trying, but they were definitely understaffed or overwhelmed. I also tried the Blueberry Ginger drink -- it was very blueberry-forward with no real ginger flavor, which was disappointing (especially as someone who loves ginger-based drinks). Overall, it was an okay experience. I'm glad I tried it, but it didn't live up to what I saw on TikTok. The food was fine but not worth the hype. I'd give it a 7/10 overall -- hopefully, they can improve consistency, service, and supply management as they grow.

This place was good. The service provided by Benu was excellent. He checked in often, made sure to explain things on the menu, as well as providing games for us while we waited. When it comes to the food, as someone with Jamaican heritage this is definitely more on the Americanized side. The oxtails could have a more rich flavor. Nonetheless, they were good. The cabbage could have carrots in it. I've never had cabbage without carrots. I did enjoy the mango pieces with tomato inside of my tacos. The juice provided was extremely fresh, not sugary, which was great. As for the ambience, it's any food court like area so I wouldn't dress up super nice. It was a great place to come after work or class and eat.

I saw this place on Instagram and my wife LOVES Oxtail so I knew we needed to go. This place is located in a gated broken down school parking lot in the cut to the far left. Beware the area is sketchy as hell. There was a Mercedes Benz blocked in by a forklift in the parking lot. He made sure no one would be stealing that. To get in you have to be buzzed in like you're in jail. Once inside everyone is funneled to a receptionist for all the businesses inside. We were told we could only place our orders within the app so we did. I ordered the Oxtail Tacos and my wife ordered the Oxtail Fried rice. The Tacos were delicious but tiny. I get that oxtail is expensive so I guess $22 is reasonable. The Fried rice was good. Nothing amazing or mind blowing. It was cool to try but nothing made us need to return. Worth a shot though.

Ehh... I'll admit I was hyped after reading the reviews. But I had a few items and it was just okay and overpriced. Take a look at the mac&cheese and tell me that's $9. It had a nice soul food flavor, but some of the noodles were undercooked. The patty was Good. I ate that up. The fried rice... I was certainly expecting more meat. Maybe it's just me but I prefer my oxtail on the bone. Just like I prefer my wings on the bone. Anyway it was very demure. I didn't eat more than one spoon of the rice and gave the rest to my husband. I'm not a fan of parboiled rice. That's probably what did it. We paid $55 for the Macaroni and cheese, 2 patties, and the oxtail fried rice. There is no restaurant. You pull up to the Stratford University building and when you get inside you pickup from a counter after saying which place you ordered from. So, no ambience or service to judge.

    Rice and Peas

This place is very special. We brought the oxtail beef patties. They were very heavy, loaded with oxtail meat and the spiciness gave the patty plenty of personality. The rice and peas were very moist. I asked for extra oxtail gravy in the rice. Delicious. The curried greens is worth trying. I love to try new items on the menu. The oxtail chopped cheese was out of this world with flavor. The bread was toasted with cheese and had similarities of the pita bread family. Plenty of oxtail meat. It is so worth supporting this place. This spot deserves to continue to stay around.

Perfect portions! The oxtail was extremely tender and flavorful! The rice and peas had amazing texture and you could taste the seasoning throughout. The plantains were perfectly grilled and sweet! I ordered through DoorDash and the food was still HOT when it arrived. Packed well. We also ordered the oxtail patties but I am so full I haven't tried them yet LOL! When I do I'll come back and add to my experience. So far this is a must repeat!

The outside gives me bodega vibes, but inside was very spacious, with the food service section taking up a third of the area to the left and tables, chairs, and various items for sale taking up the rest. I'd have liked to sit and eat but I was in a rush. I wanted to order a combo meal, but there was no combo for what I wanted (salad and sandwich). There were soup/salad, soup/sandwich, or salad/sandwich options. When I inquired, the cashier had to take it to a manager. Well, the manager was great and created the combo for me on the spot! Kudos for excellent customer service! After I placed a to-go order for a salad and chicken salad sandwich, I meandered the venue looking at the items for sale. There was plenty to keep me occupied as it took a while for my order to be prepared. Unfortunately I didn't like the chicken salad, so thus did not finish my wrap. Also, a hidden layer in my salad was grilled veggies, which I didn't like nor want on the salad. I will absolutely try Yes Chef! again but will order other things, hopefully kick up this review a point or two.

The sales people were amazing, be it at fairs, festivals or the in-home visits. We met with Scott, Pat and even Larry Everett himself. They were all very kind, knowledgeable and informative. We sampled the salmon and knew right away that the quality of the food was a step above what we normally got from supermarkets. After awhile, we finally decided to sign up for the service. Super fresh, high-quality items that defrosted easily/quickly just couldn't be beaten. But here is where the problems began. After we got a chance to do a more thorough inventory of the items received, we noticed that just a handful of one item was missing. Upon contacting Farm Fresh to advise them, we were met with apathy and a complete lack of desire to remedy. Seems that Al Fabian only cares about big orders and doesn't want to make small items appear as promised. Furthermore, we cooked another item a few weeks later and found small maggots WHILE WE WERE EATING it. As unsettling as the experience was, we calmly informed Al of the issue, assuming that it was but a fluke with the extremely high quality food that we had otherwise experienced. And what did Mr. Fabian do to allay our concerns? The same thing he did with the missing items. Absolutely nothing. So rather than waste any more of our time or money dealing with someone who clearly didn't want to address our issues and seemed to be a one-man customer service department, we decided to cancel the service before our first reorder. I'll end with this: Great food, HORRENDOUS customer service. If your food arrives correctly and you only have to deal with them at reorder, I think you'll be just fine -- because the food really is high quality, especially the salmon and chicken. But be warned that Al Fabian isn't in the business of servicing customers or solving problems.
