Wanted to love it but this experience left me wanting a bit more. Maybe it was because we came down during the busy CIAA weekend at the end of black restaurant week. Met a group of friend here for a dining experience. It was a little hard to find since it's located inside of Harbor Place. Parking is always hard to find downtown. If you are lucky you can get a spot on the street for a few dollars. The garages will start around 20 and go up from there. Started out rough after being seated. The restaurant is very small and is right inside the entrance. They ran out of menus so we had to wait until another table was done with their's. Then we weee able to get two for our table of 5 people. Then we were only able to get two glasses of water for the table. I was getting nervous by this point. Still kept an open mind though. One waiter said they had margaritas available but then our waitress said they don't serve alcoholic beverages ‍ . We went with a non alcohol half and half. They had sold out of a lot of items. I wanted lobster fried rice at first, but they sold out. Then I asked about the Oxtail Chop Cheese but they ran out of coco bread. I finally settled on the Oxtail fried rice. Food took a while to be prepared. Some items must have been ready soon but they held them until the whole group was ready. I say this because my Oxtail fried rice was just slightly warm and not hot like other's meals. Over all the food was very tasty. It had a pleasant appearance and savory flavors. Definitely a 5 out of 5. The service was ok. Witness was attentive. The only issue was them running out of everything. I will have to try them again. I was really hopeful coming to this restaurant. I saw excellent TikTok reviews and as a Caribbean woman, I'd loved the concept and I love oxtail. However, I cannot honestly recommend this restaurant as a place I'd visit again. First off, going in, there was no host standing at the front and the menu options were digital but not pulling up. My boyfriend and I assumed since there was nobody standing at the host stand and there was a QR code to scan, we had to seat ourselves. We found a seat and waited roughly 15 mins until someone came over and greeted us. We thought this was odd because we made eye contact with the restaurant employees as they were sitting at the bar area. Once we were served, our server brought us waters and two paper menus since I still was unable to pull it up online. We ordered a mango juice and I ordered a pineapple mint drink. Those came out in 15 minutes and were pretty good. The mango juice tasted good and not too sweet and my drink was also good, not super minty though. A side note, we had a male server come and refill only one of our water glasses, which was odd since they both were low. If you're wondering if the pitcher was empty (because that's what I assumed) it in fact wasn't! The restaurant began to get busy, as expected since it's a Saturday night and only got busier. My oxtail tacos and the oxtail patty came out roughly 25 minutes later, the tacos on an extremely small plate, with food spilling off on the sides. My boyfriend enjoyed the patty, I did not try it however he said "it was okay, I have nothing negative to say about that". My oxtail tacos were burnt with cheese on the outsides (I wish I took a picture looking back on it). I assumed this was comparable to birria tacos, but there was minimal cheese and heavy oxtail (which can be rare for oxtail in restaurants), I would like to add that there were quite a few fatty pieces and the consumé was very salty in my opinion. The mango pico was okay, I added it to the tacos but it didn't add much additional flavor. I ended up sharing my three (3) tacos with my boyfriend because his oxtail Mac and cheese had yet to arrive! Our server came out and somehow forgot we ordered Mac and cheese until he reminded her, which I can understand due to the amount of business at that time. Roughly 6:45pm (30 minutes later), our server came over to us and stated the Mac and cheese was taken to the wrong table and they'd have to remake it, which she specified "would take a while". We obliged and waited for the food. Around 7:20pm, our server came back over to us and told us that "they said they would not remake the order" but she's take it off of our bill which should've been a given due to the fact we didn't get it. Instead of giving us our getting bill and letting us pay and leave, she walked away and we didn't see her for another 10-12 mins. She came back with the card reader and let my boyfriend review before paying. For our 2 drinks, my three (3) oxtail tacos, and his one (1) oxtail patty, the total came to $44.52. A few minutes after paying, as we were walking out, our server ran over to us and stated that the ended up making it and gave us a box. Now, I may have been born at night but I wasn't born last night. This food looks like it was scraped off of someone else's plate and into our box, barely any oxtail and no broiled cheese on top. read more

It's located in the inner harbor indoor mall area. It was easy to find and they have plenty of seating. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted. I had scanned the menu on QR code and was given water. I love Jamaican food and have been on the hunt for a good spot in the DMV area for a long time. I heard about this place on TikTok and decided to give it a try. That being said the food is somewhat pricey average is $20-$30. I came to try the oxtails so I got the traditional platter it comes in a medium size bowl. It has rice and peas, cabbage, sweet plantains and 3 large oxtails. The cabbage was very sweet and salty not my fav. The rice and peas were good and had the oxtail sauce on it. The sweet plantains were very good, not mushy or too tender. The oxtails fell off the bone and were super easy to eat. It had more meat than fat. That being said it didn't really have any flavor but it was the right consistency and tasted okay. It was a little hard to find, but once we did it was well worth the search. Very small quaint area in the mall blocked by dividers. It was not that busy so we walked right in. Our server was great and very prompt especially for him to be the only server. He also offered us board games while we waited for our food. The two women ended up going back to them to get utensils themselves to eat. We then asked them how was their experience so far, and they answered it was just okay. Unfortunately, my experience didn't fully live up to the hype. The location is inside the Inner Harbor Mall in Baltimore, and it's more of a carryout setup with just a few tables in the middle of the mall -- not really a restaurant vibe. I understand it's a newer business, but presentation matters, and it could definitely be improved. When we arrived, we asked for menus, but they told us everything is digital -- no physical copies available. So if you don't have your phone, you can't order. Once we looked online, we noticed a lot of items were sold out. I originally wanted to try the mac & cheese with oxtail, but they were out of that and several other dishes. My friend and I ended up getting the Oxtail Rasta Pasta. The Rasta Pasta was okay -- I'd rate it a 7/10. It tasted decent but was too watery and lacked that rich, flavorful sauce you expect. The seasoning didn't really stick to the noodles, and it didn't feel like a true Rasta Pasta. They also didn't have Parmesan cheese, even though it's shown in the photos, and were out of collard greens too. A few groups actually walked away while we were sitting there, and I could see why -- being out of so many menu items so early is not a good look for a new spot. When it came time to pay, we ran into another issue. We had $100 cash, but they didn't have change and said they don't start the day with any cash on hand -- they rely on what comes in from customers. For any business, you should at least start the day with a small amount of cash for change. They ended up sending someone to another store to get change, which took a while. It would help if they had a sign saying they don't accept bills over $20 or that they're card-only. Customer service was also just okay. It seemed like a new server was in training, but no one came to check on us after dropping the food, and the team overall seemed flustered. The man behind the register was trying, but they were definitely understaffed or overwhelmed. I also tried the Blueberry Ginger drink -- it was very blueberry-forward with no real ginger flavor, which was disappointing (especially as someone who loves ginger-based drinks). Overall, it was an okay experience. I'm glad I tried it, but it didn't live up to what I saw on TikTok. The food was fine but not worth the hype. When it comes to the food, as someone with Jamaican heritage this is definitely more on the Americanized side. The oxtails could have a more rich flavor. Nonetheless, they were good. The cabbage could have carrots in it. I've never had cabbage without carrots. I did enjoy the mango pieces with tomato inside of my tacos. I've been seeing this place online so much, so I decided to stop by when I was in the area. It is in an old culinary building which you have to ring a doorbell to get in. This is a pick up only restaurant. I believe it's actually a ghost kitchen. However, the oxtail tacos were filled with meat and flavor. And the oxtail beef patty, was surprisingly the same field with hefty amount of meat and flavor. This is definitely not a beef patty. They got from Costco. An absolute gem in Baltimore and a must must must visit! We had no idea about this restaurant and found out about it through Instagram. Finding the location can be a little tricky, but follow the exact instructions that they have shared on their Instagram page and you should be all set. We ordered the oxtail tacos with consume and mango salsa and were absolutely mindblown by how flavorful and delicious everything was. This is a ghost kitchen in an old culinary building so it is take-out only, but believe me when I say the food was so good, that we ended up finishing our order in the parking lot itself.
