The food arrived pretty quickly and the burritos were huge but the sides of queso were old and ice cold. I guess they forgot to microwave them or something and I didn't feel like doing it so I skipped the queso and went straight into the burrito. I wish it lived up to the description of "hella meat" but it didn't. It was 85% fries 10% toppings (cheese, guac, sour cream) and 5% chicken. I get it they're called man vs fries but the fries were overkill and really took away from the burrito since they were mushy and covered in wet toppings. I eventually cut it open and picked out the little bits of chicken but got tired of that and threw most of it away. My daughter took a bite or two of her free one then tossed it. I have been a longtime fan of the DiPasquales family businesses, from their classic Italian markets in Baltimore to their new speakeasy style restaurant, Forno. Living in the county, I have always known about Mastellone's but somehow forget that it delivers the same amazing quality as the more modern DiPasquales locations. I finally made the trip to grab a weekday lunch and could not have been happier with my subs. The shop sits along a busy stretch of Harford Road, so be ready to parallel park quickly or find a nearby side street and walk over. Inside, it is everything you want in a true old school Italian deli. No frills, just shelves full of authentic Italian groceries, a big cold case with sauces, side dishes, desserts, and even a solid wine selection to take home. I ordered the Old World Italian sub, made with sopressata, capicola, prosciutto, fontinella cheese, olive tapenade, tomato, and a drizzle of EVOO on a toasted fresh baked roll. It was absolute perfection. The meats were thinly sliced and perfectly layered so that every bite had the full mix of flavor and texture. Salty, a touch spicy, and incredibly satisfying. At twelve dollars, it is the ideal price point for a weekday lunch that feels like a treat. The staff could not have been nicer. They were friendly, efficient, and you can tell they take real pride in what they do. Overall, Mastellone's is everything you want in a neighborhood Italian deli and absolutely worth the trip for anyone chasing elite level hoagies.

Excellent prices and a variety of items you can choose from. I was so excited to hear that a Grocery Outlet had opened in Edgewood. I started shopping at the Edgewood location. That store is my favorite. The store is very clean, organized and even the bathrooms are clean. It is a bit of a distance from me, but it is well worth the trip and while I am out in that area, I shop at Gabe's and the Dollar Tree. And then to hear that a Grocery Outlet was opening in Overlea put me in excitement overload. I finally got the chance to shop there on Wed 01/29/25 after I got off of work at 5pm. The prices were great, but they did not have a great selection of items like the Edgewood location. But I did find 2 fabulous items here that the Edgewood store did not have.... Banana flavored Hi-Chews and Strawberry Banana Milk. Although there is no store brand, all of their name brand products are even cheaper than those in competing stores. The layout of the store is easy to figure out since it is on the smaller side for a grocery store. I did want to check out the restroom area and I was disappointed in this as well. It was not very clean as I was hoping. There was toilet paper all over the floor and someone had urinated all over the toilet seat. What I definitely did not like was the setup of the checkout counters. There are no checkout lanes with conveyor belts to put your items on. It is one checkout lane with little desk like areas to pile your stuff on and even that is not big enough if you are buying a lot of items. And the little area behind the checkout person is very plain and stuff is just lying on the floor. It was disorganized. I did not like this feature of the store at all. The staff was great. They were very pleasant and friendly. I may return to the Overlea location again just to grab a few items, but I will be returning back to the Edgewood location for my big shopping purchases. My assessment of Grocery Outlet... They are fantastic! AAA+

We decided to try the fish lunch specials which come over rice. I asked if the rice was there saffron rice and was told it was so I knew it was going to hit. We decided to go with the whiting and salmon lunch specials. Look at the pictures! Oh, we also did tried the collard greens which had a lot of stems and I'm not a fan of collard greens anyway but they did taste traditional but we're cooked without meat so everyone could enjoy. I am talking about all the fees and charges they add on top of their food prices and do not tell you about them until you get the check. I hate that businesses charge credit card fees in today's market, after raising prices you also add in the fees you pay to be able to use credit card services. Bagel Works is one of those businesses but they take it once step further and now add a "tablet fee" on top of it. So let me gets this straight, you want us to pay for your decision to use tablets when typically those companies charge little or nothing for the POS (Point of Sale) as they recoup their money thru (you guessed it) more fees.
