As he did so, he pulled one and gave it to the gentlemen (white) and then pulled another and saw me and did not give me one. Im not one that take much or is moved by race activity, but this moved me in such a way. I merely walked up waited to get a cart but this white gentleman did not give me the same courtesy/customer friendly service as he provided to the white male. Then looked at me like I was an issue and walked away back into the store. I then got a cart and proceeded into the store to get the couple items on my list. I checked out and noticed that a bag is $.20. I would not had gotten a bag for the couple of items if the $.20 fee was posted. With this being Memorial Day weekend, but a nasty rainy day, it was very quiet and calming shopping and checking out experience. The owners Meaghan and Shane opened this in 2022 on York road and it's just a delightful experience. My favorite is the super chicken (I always order this) and for a drink the house paw paw soda it's made with the native fruit paw paw (do research on this it's amazing) that they make into a vinegary shrub with soda water. It's so yummy. The quality shines here as well as the light airy high ceiling interior and the plants. This is a must visit and honestly a little slept on. Lisa was my server on my most recent visit and she was so sweet. She told me her wife works here and she was filling in as a neighbor and a patron! We love that.
