They recommended one specifically but suggested I rent a couple different ones to get the right feel and that sealed the deal. Never once did they make me feel like I was just a 'dumb girl'. They were respectful, informative and made a lifelong member that day. I bought a family membership and have never regretted the decision. I have read some negative comments about McQueeney re: high prices and rude treatment, but I'm here to tell you that I've never met a nicer group of people who make it their business to make everyone feel welcome. Do they have rules and regulations?? YES.... it's a gun range. Come on people... And if you are worried about $5 here or there for a gun or box of ammo, well maybe you should find another sport. If he tells you something, he's probably right! I can't imagine why anyone would not be very satisfied with their service. IME, it is best to get work done after the hunting rush. Wait times get worse the closer you get to fall. Apr through Jul is usually best. I had a pistol Cajunized in the busy season and it took a little over a month. I took one in during mid-Spring, dropped it off at 11, and had it done same day by 4:30. The DA/SA are so much lighter and crisper. I have Cajunized one myself, so I know what is involved. It is surprisingly hard to find gunsmiths with experience Cajunizing, or with CZs in general. I guess it makes sense, they are far less common than Glocks, M&Ps, etc. I have had smiths tell me they do not work on CZs, or they say "we can do that, we'll figure it out," which is not comforting. Each time I came in, the associate at the counter brought me to talk to a gunsmith. He knew the order the parts go back in, that some jobs like the mag release are easier when everything is already apart, and that you have to remove the front sight pin to replace the barrel bushing. The sear cage is a nightmare to get back together, so I'm happy to outsource it. It's clear they do a bunch of them here, so it takes less time than me installing it or a smith doing it for the first time.
