Thrilled to find such a high quality and well displayed selection of wines and spirits from around the world within walking distance of our hotel in Wailea. We got terrific recommendations and never felt like we were being upsold to more expensive options. There are many good choices at a wide variety of prices. A happy find. read more

Wailea Wine - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Wailea, Hawaii

When on Maui and you need da booze look no further than Wailea Wine. Absolutely the finest liqueur store for top notch wines , scotch and Hawaiian liqueurs in all of Maui. Honestly I'm always surprised by the selection of wines that Ed the owner has stocked on his shelf with. Let's face it when you have Leonetti Cellars Cabernet Reserve on your shelf that's amazing! It maybe small but WOW they have an exceptional selection for your desires. Do yourself a favor and stop by for something... read more

They had exactly what I was looking for. Gentlemen was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely use them again if needed.

Mix review here. The selection is top notch for liquor and scotch/wiskey. However prices also on the very high end. Anything allocated (especially wiskey) or hard to find will be 2-7x retail mark up. read more

This is a fantastic little wine show with a surprisingly great selection. Very impressive. They also carry some specialty food items and beer which come in handy if you are staying at the hotels nearby. A tad pricey but there is something for everyone in here. Only open until 5. read more

What's better than sending flowers to your loved one on vacation? Sending them a bottle of gin! The folks at Wailea Wine were helpful and agreed to text me images of their gin selection so I could pick. Delivery was $40 though the recipient was in town and swung by to pick it up at the shop so they only charged a $20 processing fee (which was well worth it with all the texting and calling, etc.) I hope to one day travel to Wailea so I can go into the shop and buy myself some of their very diverse selection! read more

We would give this hidden gem Wailea Wine a 10 star rating if there is such a thing. Long story short, their inventory is big and the price is down to earth. For Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Bordeaux, you can find a bottle in the low 20's all the way to the high-end like Caymus or Opus One; and everything in between. read more

Independently owned bottle shop, with a great selection of high end and interesting stuff. Boutique spirits, craft beer, champagne...they've got it all. The prices are good for Hawaii and much better than some of the generic liquor stores around. The owner is friendly and helpful, if you need a recommendation on anything in the shop, or even good local restaurants. Definitely check this place out, especially in lieu of any of the other random bottle shops around town. read more

I found Wailea Wine by accident, while staying at a nearby condo and going out for a walk. I almost didn't go in since I'm not a wine drinker, but I noticed that they carried beer so I thought why not. Not a huge selection of beer, but NICE variety. Got my favorite Maui Brewing Company CoCoNut Porter for a good price. The owner was super friendly and helpful without being pushy at all. What a great surprise! Definitely will go back our next time in Maui--love shopping at small businesses! read more

Visited Wailea Wine again and great selection of reds all around. Thanks for the warm service and solid variety.

Great place! Good quality and good vibe. Tucked behind the tennis club. Very good atmosphere and deals on good quality wines

Found Wailea Wine thanks to Yelp, and the handy iPhone app along with the GPS on my phone! How did I survive without these handy tools before? Anyway, Wailea Wine is only about a 1/2 mile (we walked!) from the Wailea Marriott/Shops at Wailea intersection. You would never know it was there otherwise. We picked up some supplies to stock our hotel fridge for nightly drinks on the lanai, and even picked up some crackers and Cypress Grove cheese! Mind you, the cheese selection isn't huge, but definitely worked for our purposes. Bonus points for the Cypress Grove cheese considering there wasn't much of a variety. The wine selection is just right and we were most impressed at the number of Santa Barbara County wines they offered...many of which we can't find at retail in LA, so to find them in Wailea was quite a pleasant surprise! I do have to say that the mark-up on many of the bottles was quite significant, while the mark-up on others was more reasonable. If you really know your wine, and know what it usually sells for at the winery or for retail back home, then you can make a good decision. Otherwise, you might be paying for quite the markup. Either way, you'll know what the end price is that you're paying, which can be quite the deal considering you could buy a bottle of wine for what 2 drinks at the resort would cost. In addition, they do offer beer and alcohol for sale as well. We added a six-pack of Maui Brewing Co. Big Swell IPA to our purchase. The owners, a married couple, were both there and extremely friendly and can provide help should you need it. read more

Wailea Wine offers a great selection of premium wines for the beach bound traveler. If you have your own condo or house and are looking to cook up a nice meal on the lanai, or just want a nice bottle of wine to watch the sunset this is your place. The selection is mostly domestic with a high concentration of California producers but there are also several premium offerings from France, Italy, Australia, and more. If you're in the mood for snacks or other fine foods then Wailea Wine can help you out there as well. They offer a great selection of foods ranging from cheese and chocolates all the way to shrimp, scallops, and wild salmon. Or, if you would prefer something other than wine they also have beer, spirits, and plenty of cold non-alcohol beverages. A great little shop located in Wailea just up the road from Maui's premium resort hotels and condos. It's never really that busy so if you need assistance picking out your selection the proprietors can offer some great recommendations. A little pricey but what do you expect for one of the premier destinations in Hawaii. read more

If you're looking for allocated bourbons, this is the place. There is some markup on the harder to find items, but there are also many bottles that are priced near MSRP. Also, the wine selection is phenomenal. read more

Whether you have recently moved to S. Maui or are just visiting, if you like wine, you need to know this place. A husband and wife team are the owners and have extensive knowledge of wine and liquor. Some thinks are market up rather high but remember we are on Maui and unlike the sea and sunshine, the wine's imported. They have a very good selection of all the well known lables and a very good selection of little known wines at reasonable prices. Tell them what you like and your budget and you will walk away pleased. There is a fair selection of pre-chilled wines and you can ask for a case discount. They also have a nice selection of gourmet foods. No, you wouldn't give up Safeway but most of the things they carry you wouldn't find at Safeway. Duck Breast and Maui Meats and gelato and things like that. A wee bit pricey but overall good value. A good selection and great friendly service win me over every time. It is located in the Wailea Town Center, not far from the Wailea Tennis Courts. Obscure location but it works. read more

I had to go to FHB to deposit a check and arrived at 4:01PM only to learn they are closed - WTF? Anyway, as the doors closed on me I saw "Wailea Wine" so figured I'd check it out. Nice place....higher end...good stuff. So I chatted with the worker and he noted what they carried - I could have read their sign but I was just too lazy. So, picked up a nice white wine and the new red from MBC. Good times but get this.....they have meats, cheese, etc....so if you have to do date night at home and need to get some good stuff and you're 99% clueless this might be a good spot to pick up some items. Also, near Matteo's which is good so......if you go there at 3:50PM you could cash a check at FHB, buy some wine at the store and grab happy hour at Matteo's then watch some tennis at the club....I should run for Mayor! Aloha. read more

Great place for all things alcohol and specialty foods. Ed is super knowledgeable and very helpful. Diane always has a smile for you.

Wailea Wine's excellent selection and service was such an awesome time-saver for our 9/15/18 wedding! We simply sent our shopping list to Ed, with a few blanks to fill in since neither of us are big wine drinkers. Ed recommended fantastic reds and whites ... there wasn't a single bottle left at the end of the night, our guests loved it all! Remarkably, he also had everything else for our rather large order in stock on super short notice, easily handling a few 11th hour changes too (I bailed on personally shopping, 3 days before the wedding). The prices were genuinely comparable and fair, delivery directly to our venue was crazy prompt, and he even offered to take back anything we didn't use at a later date. Ed was so helpful, kind, and generous - we decided not to return a thing and left all of our remaining liquor for the rental house cleaning crew! (yes they profusely thanked us, best tip ever) We'll be back to Maui soon, and we'll go out of our way to shop at Wailea Wine for sure. read more

Living in Los Angeles I have been pretty spoiled with great wine stores. Wailea Wine however is a true gem in paradise. Amazing wines and great selection of local and international delicacies. Prices are great especially for Maui standards. read more

Super friendly store owner who was helpful but not annoying. Entered a wine contest with a wine he suggested at my $40 price range and that 2013 Turley Juvenile stole the show! Also found the Prisoner at $38 which is exactly what I pay when I'm not an a fancy resort town! read more

Very beautiful store. I was greeted immediately even though the man was helping someone else. Then after the other customer was finished, the shop keeper asked if I needed any help. I thankfully declined even though I was touching every bottle. I liked that he respected her I just wanted to look around. There's a large variety of wine and fancy cheeses, salmon, crackers. I was looking for some champagne or sparkling wine and was happy to find my own little section of chilled bottles. Sake above the champagne. I also saw some varieties of club soda and ginger beer. It looks like they pick the best of the best. Lots of local snacks. I grabbed some spicy macadamia nuts, a piece of dark chocolate and a bottle of sparing wine. I will go here again and often and I would recommend this to anyone staying in Wailea. read more

An outstanding wine store with a geographically wide-ranging array of choices. I found some of my favorite champagnes here, not to mention a nice selection of Oregon Pinot noirs, first rate Italian wines (e.g., Ornellaia, Tignanello), white & red Burgundies. We were in Maui for New Years, and picked up some nice smoked salmon, caviar, blini etc for a first rate celebration. The wines we've purchased have all been in great shape, obviously stored properly and the staff is more than capable of advising you regarding wine & gourmet food selections. It's a great find, particularly if you're staying in the Wailea area! read more

The nicest owners, Diane was so helpful and pointed me in the direction of the Goat Cheese I had called about and then I found they carry ONO Gelato as well......Yummy :-) I tried several, the Strawberry was delicious, Maui Mokka.. Ive been collecting and drinking fine wines since 1982. It is my love and passion in life and I am always seeking out fine wine shops. Most of my favorite shops are in northern California and New York After making my life in paradise, I found the state of Hawaii severely lacking in good wine shops and began purchasing most wine on the internet though shipping prices are cruel. Imagine my surprise when I walked into this beautiful wine shop in an out of the way location in Wailea. I found a terrific selection of wines with numerous California cult wines including Araujo, Sine Qua Non, Bryant Family, Peter Michael "les Pavots" , Kosta Brown and lots more. They have very difficult to find Washington States Cayuse too!! While the French side is limited, There are some lovely Bordeaux and outstanding and difficult to find Rhones which I adore. The store also carries high end foods like duck breast, cheeses, crackers and much more. Glasses, decanters and wine toys are also for sale. Last but surely not least is the owner, Ed Mikesh who in addition to being very helpful, knowlegable and well manered is not pushy by any means.I love this shop and cant wait to spend some money there again. Thank you Ed. read more

Over the past few years, my appreciation for and knowledge of wines has been on the rise. Unfortunately for me, this means the majority of wines available at the local Safeway or food land just aren't that satisfying to me the way they once were. Thankfully, there is an excellent little wine shop with a helpful, down to earth owner, who helped me stock up on and discover a slew of new wines for our most recent trip to Wailea. Apparently, the shop has been there for about twenty years - what a great spot! The owner was so nice and his selection of Cabernets and Zinfandels was so spot on. If only this existed back where I live. Great experience, highly recommend. read more
