Main Grocery Store in Lana'i We stopped by to grab some snacks at Richard's. Upon entry is where you will find the produce section, warm food, frozen food section and an impressive selection of fresh seafood at the poke station. Another section of the market are 5 or 6 aisles (I can't remember) of dried and canned good items. It wasn't as little as I thought. It was a good size grocery store inside that's fitting for the locals. Here I found the smallest spam musubi I've ever seen. A 1" square mini spam musubi wrapped individually and sold for $0.50/ea. LoL! It had no taste (to me) but thought they were cute! I grabbed a bag of Maui Onion potato chips (my favorite island chips) and hubby got a bag of pork rinds (chicharon). Prices here are a little more. There are two cashiers to serve you near the exit door. Review #2686

Located on Lanai they carry a lot of items some of the items are purchased from Costco and broken down to individual items. If you are looking for fresh meats and seafood they have a counter which you can order from. They also have pre wrapped meats, frozen seafood and a fresh produce department, they have desserts, bread, can goods and liquor. They carry more variety here if you are looking for a specific item you would have a better chance starting here. Parking across at Dole Park and some along the front of the store. Hand sanitizer and wagons before you enter the market.

Whoa Bruddah! Did you see da poke bowl I wen' pick up????? Da buggah was "Broke Da Moufth Ono!!!!!" I was on Lanai two weeks ago, and Bruddah Fran will have to update his review of this place called - Richards Market in Lanai City and show Richard Market some ALOHA. I've stopped by Richards Market a few times, mainly to pick up something to drink...........but my most recent visit I had to buy a can of WD40 as I was doing something at the Bank of Hawaii, and lucky for me this little supermarket was just next door to the bank, which made it very convenient for me. After I finished work, I made it appoint to go back to Richards Market to give their poke bowl a try, and I must tell you folks that Richards Market did not disappoint! The poke selection here is not extensive like what you would see at Foodland or Tamura's, but for what little selection they did have, the poke was fresh, and broke da moufth ono! When I walked to the back of the store to the seafood section, I was greeted by a clerk who built my poke bowl. Richards Market offered (3), or should I saw it da local way..........."dey' wen' offer tree size poke bowls". I wasn't sure about the poke bowl portions, so I asked the clerk if he could show me the container sizes, and upon sizing up the portions, I ended up getting a medium sized poke bowl with Spicy Furikake Poke, & Spicy Taco Poke with Brown Rice. The fish & taco were all so fresh, and marinaded perfectly. They did not charge extra for the Brown Rice (which was a nice thing), and the thing that seal da deal............da poke bowl was just ($9.49)! Can we say DEALAGES Yo!!!! If you folks ever find yourself on Lanai..........no shame now, stop by Richards Market for some onolicious poke bowls! Garans no can go wrong!!!

A great find on the small Island of Lanai, we got a few pounds of poke for $20-25 to eat for lunch and it was truly amazing. They also have a lot of baked goods to choose from and taro/ube products. I found that things were pricier here compared to Maui, but it's understandable because everything has to be shipped over.

the only grocery store to get you everything you need on lanai. though the poke is previously frozen, the marinade for each overall was good. they have some good snacks that you can quickly grab before heading out to the beach too!

Great customer service and friendly workers. Stopped in to Richard's for everything from groceries to fresh poke. We ordered a bunch of poke, fresh roast chicken, and rice and ate family style. Everything was ono! The poke was fresh and had great flavor. The roast chicken was perfectly cooked. Would recommend stopping at Richard's...it's a one stop shop.

Today stopped for lunch. Tried for the first time their poke bowl. I got the small Polihua poke. Ahi with avo, sea asparagus seasoned with salt a little chili pepper water and inamona. Winner winner ahi dinner. While the rest of the poke selections looked good, this one hit the spot today.

This market is a wonderful stop when you need to stock up on snacks and beverages while you stay on the island! Not only is it super clean, they've got most of the essentials you'll need. They are also known for their desserts and though we didn't try the cakes I will say the brownie bites are out of this world! I ate it in one sitting without realizing it! Must try

Good selection and fresh produce, prices are Lana'i high but that's to be expected when you live in paradise!

Fair prices, good variety if fruit n veggies + box of leafy greens are awsome. Breads and can goods are a plenty.

Basically it's the neighborhood general store that serves the Ho'olehua community, and if I'm correct, I believe it's the only store in the area. I guess the folks here probably appreciate this store, otherwise you would have to drive to Kaunakakai to do your shopping. The Kualapuu Market has a little bit of everything here, fresh meats, some produce items, and of course their dry goods. For entertainment, they also had a video shoppe which appeared to be dvd's which you can probably rent. I popped into this general store to take a little look around, as well as to pick up some drinks while we were driving around town. I love visiting local businesses in remote areas........... Need something and don't wanna drive all the way to Kaunakakai? There's another store in the Ho'olehua area. Check 'em out gang! No can go wrong!
