Be around FOREVER, still good, still affordable Great flavor and nice people. Noodles are excellent

Came in and placed a Togo order. The wait time was the only reason for four stars and not five stars. When placing the order, they said it would be 25 minutes to prepare. Maybe I would have just come back and not say on the bench if I knew it would have been an hour wait. The food was very good and traditional. Have come here since I was a little girl, so this is a core food memory for me! The atmosphere has never changed. read more

It's been 10+ years since ive been here but it tastes just as good as I remembered! I ordered the orange chicken and fried noodles, lunch portion, and it was huge! I was able to make 3 meals out of this one order. Everything was cooked to order and fresh. When I got back to my place to eat it, the orange chicken was still crispy and flavorful. It had a nice orange sweet taste with a hint of garlic. It's was delicious!! The pan fried noodles were plain (but I expected that) but had an amazing texture, crispy on the bottom. I wanted the fried noodles to balance out the saucy orange chicken. If you don't like plain noodles then I suggest getting their chowmein or fried rice. This place has the best orange chicken in town and I don't say that lightly as I love orange chicken and have tried many from different places. In addition to the fresh, made to order food, the owners are friendly, welcoming and kind. It's a mom n pop shop and you can tell how passionate they are about their food. 10/10 would recommend!! Price is reasonable and portions are huge and food is delicious!! read more

It was just OK for me. The wait is pretty long, but I assume it's because there's only 2 people making all the food. I asked for spicy, but there was no spice at all. I had a rather unhappy fiancé when I arrived with his food. Also, no utensils were placed in the bag, which I guess I should have asked for before leaving, but I had to go back for that. One thing I will say is that their orange chicken is crispy and very good, great sauce, and the portions are large. read more

Over a year ago I ordered a bunch of party platters from here for my wedding and it was a big hit. I had ordered the Wah's special chow mein, their special fried rice, and broccoli beef. Now I've come back 11/8/2025 and ordered the Chow Mein again and the foil wrapped chicken. It is still very good and they don't skimp on portions. My take out box was packed to the rim. So consistency is key and price is affordable. I will continue to be a loyal customer. It's unfortunate that they're a drive for me. But I will recommend this place to others. read more

Fresh food, always affordable prices. You can call in and place an order ahead of time. I personally get either the special plate or the lunch combo. They have a family meal for bigger occasions or an easy dinner for the family. Quiet and calm setting. I have gone to this spot since I was in high school. That was over ten years ago. The owners are so friendly & have seen the communities kids grow before their eyes eating this delicious food. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. read more

Today I had lunch at Wah's Kitchen. The lady at the front was awesome. I should say I'm in a wheelchair and my friend took me. I have a comment about the fact to be able to go to any stores there is no Wheelchair access to any of the businesses you have a step up issue. Luckily my friend is very strong. But that is an issue that needs to be said to the owner of the properties. I will admit that I did not go around the entire facility but what I saw no access. Wah's was awesome. I got Chicken with Vegetables and Pork Fried Rice. It was awesome. The vegetables were the right consistency and the flavor was great. I will go back again, a great place to eat Chinese. read more

We ordered 3 items (chicken chow mien, orange chicken and combination fried rice) the appearance "looked" great until we served ourselves, the rice was mushy, along with/ the chow mein which I asked for extra crispy and according g to her after 7 minutes the noodles get mushy, I order my noodles like this all the time .. the chicken was raw or definitely undercooked .. vegetables included.. we called and the lady that answered said (exact words) were if you don't like the food don't come back... Like who says that? There wasn't even a how can I fix this, nothing! I do not recommend this place at all... So unprofessional ! I'm not gonna even rate this! read more

Ordered takeout, for my first time here, and was NOT disappointed. The portions were HUGE and my Curry Beef Tomato chow mein was, hands down, the best over ever had. Grandson loved his teriyaki chicken and the broccoli beef did not disappoint. Definitely my new favorite Chinese spot read more

Airy and sparkly clean Mon and Pop Chinese Restaurant. Open kitchen right behind cashier so you can easily see and smell all the delicious action. Must mostly do takeout since there were only 3 tables for 4 people and one table for 2 people inside. Pretty diverse menu of meats, noodles, rices and soups. Done in a variety of techniques. read more

Delicious and lots of food and affordable! Service was quick and they are quite busy during lunch hours. Call and order in advance.

I had chop suey, chow mein, potstickers, and rice, it was 30.00. The food was good, it is more of a take out restaurant, they only have 3 tables. The potstickers taste good but poorly made. read more

This is one of the best Chinese food restaurants in Fresno. The noodles are thick and flavorful in the Chow Mein, the sliced pork is tender and delicious, the sweet and sour pork is crunchy and has an excellent orange sweet sauce, and the rice is very good. These are the parts of the special plate I bought recently for $10. It's near my house so I eat there often. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Wah's! read more

We used to come here all the time years ago and went again today (8-25-22) to try it out for lunch. It was so flavorful and delicious! The prices are incredible. Very reasonable for the amount of food they give ....which is a lot! We ordered the food to go and the restaurant was clean and looks it must have been remodeled recently from when I used it come here. It looks great! The outside has been remodeled too. Very nice and friendly people working there. We will definitely be back. read more

Ordered the Chinese style pork chow mein and a side of teriyaki sauce but this was not it. The noodles were soggy, slimy, and tasted old/reheated. The juices or whatever sat at the bottom of everything making it soggier. Their seasoning reminds me of the little ramen packets... The pork had no flavor and was dry. The staff was rude as well so that didn't help. The teriyaki sauce is REALLY sweet too, just as a heads up. I was excited to try this place because they're down the street but it was a huge disappointment. Not worth their lunch special price. read more

So this happened today...‍ I go to Wah's Kitchen this evening to pick up some Chinese food so I have something good to eat at home when watching The Matrix Resurrection and I run into my very first problem ever. It's true that new owners have new standards but when it comes to simple requests, the customer should receive what their asking for. I asked them if they had white mushrooms in which the lady responded, "yes" to me. I then asked her to place some mushrooms in some shrimp fried rice for me. Her response was that they don't do that. So I told her the chef always does it for me, she then said that we are under new ownership. I said I know that, I normally come by during early afternoon to order my food and the chef does it for me. She remained obstinate on her stance about adding some mushrooms onto my order of shrimp fried rice. Unbelievable! I told her I eaten at this restaurant since high school (30 years). She told me it did not matter. I did not want to argue with her so I respected what she said but was very disappointed that she could not grant such a simple request. So from this moment on, Wah's Kitchen will be off my Chinese Food radar. What a lack of customer service! I hope she enjoys those mushrooms she saving for whatever she's saving them for! #DissappointedToTheMax read more

I've been going here for takeout since I was a FSU Freshman living in my fraternity house up the road in 1974. Not the original owners but they're a couple from China and are good, hardworking, friendly folk. The food isn't what I would call "gourmet" but it is good, fresh, affordable and most orders will make 2 meals. I enjoy it as do my Teens. Our faves are individual Lemon Chicken Plates and Mandarin dinners (2 minimum orders, we get 3). Dine with confidence. Hungry Joey says, "Check it out!" read more

Ordered take out, arrived and it was ready. The price wasn't bad less than $10 with a large drink for lunch. I got the special plate with sweet and sour pork. I got home and dug in. The sweet and sour sauce tasted a little different to me. It wasnt what I was expecting. The more I ate, the better it got. The fried rice was nothing like what I've gotten from other restaurants before. It was literlly just fried rice. No veg, meat etc.. it wasn't bad, but not great either. The noodles were your standard pan fried noodles with bean sprouts and sauce on top there were a few slices of pork on top, but they were just meh. On the whole, I dont think the sweet and sour pork won me over, but everything else was ok. This is not gourmet dining, but will do when craving Chinese on a budget. read more
