The staff joined the YEE community virtually to introduce us to the goats and provide a background on the nonprofit's mission. Fast forward to November 2023, I finally visited Philly Goat project in person! I'd initially planned to visit the zoo on this day, but realized it had gotten too late to gain entry. Change of plans was a visit to Awbury and seeing the goats and chickens onsite! The goats are fun, and the staff is friendly and informative. If you visit and don't see the goats, check the map. It will highlight where the goats are, since they get their exercise around the grounds all day. We found the goats in a meadow area and said hello as it started to drizzle. Lots of fun! Multiple Lego building stations are all over the complex. You can add your creation to a community build or make your own design. There was a this Lego monorail that went around the front of the building and at certain points you could interact with the scenes at each station stop. Our favorite part was the VR Lego roller coaster ride, that felt pretty real and at the end you got to personalize your own mini brick. There was so much to do that you could fill a day of play.

One other nice thing is you can leave and come back all day long. We choose to grab lunch elsewhere and come back for some more fun. The space itself is clean, safe, and thoughtfully set up, gated play areas so little ones can't wander off, tons of floor space for the kids to play, and comfortable seating for parents. I actually got to sit down, enjoy some free coffee, and relax while watching my kids play, which as a mom, means everything. They have both indoor and outdoor play areas (just a heads up, the outdoor space closes from 11 AM-12 PM for the daycare group, but it's open right before and after), so there's something to do rain or shine. This is somewhere we can absolutely see ourselves coming back to. Highly recommend if you're in the Norristown, PA area!

I believe they have a no-nut policy, which is helpful, and they do sell food that has other allergens, but eating is only allowed in the gated space with the tables, which is a relief in my mind that there's minimal risk of exposure in the common play area. There's another space that's opened up recently in the Plymouth Meeting Mall that I also like, that doesn't really allow food at all, which I appreciate as well, but the openness to food in that one area also lends itself to a longer stay. Having coffee available is also a big plus, as is the snacks that come with the entry fee (for those w/o food allergies, at least). I also appreciate that the entry fee is good for in and out privileges throughout the time it's open. The play space is vast and amenable to all sorts of play across ages, which is really nice. There's opportunity for physical play and pretend play, for toddlers and for bigger kids too. The little ones really enjoyed all of the things available, and there was even some low-key exposure to soccer with a pretty good size goal net. Absolutely a space I would return to with them! We had initially booked a private birthday party that was, unfortunately canceled because of the weather. I was given the option of dates to reschedule, but was told instead of a private event. They only had semi private parties available and stated there would be another party taking place at the same time. I was given several dates and times to choose from an emailed back several times in an attempt to confirm date and time. I received an email receipt for a booking of that date, no call or personal email. I also sent several emails prior to both event dates asking what time I could access our space in order to set up and none of them were ever returned. Again was told you didn't have a private event slot available, but did have the semi private which we accepted based on the assumption that semi private meant instead of just our party there would be an additional party. But I did not expect was there to be an additional party, several groups, and I guess free play all happening during our "semi private event " When we arrived and checked in, we were told we were in the room on the right and only when I said, I don't know what that means or where that is did somebody get up to show us to the space. Our party was scheduled from 1 to 3 and at five or three as we were cleaning up an employee came in with giant black trash bags, and started unloading the trash. At this time that we noticed that the people waiting to get into our room for their event time had been there playing for the entire two hours of our event so there was our party group the other party group and then the 3 o'clock group there are all playing during our semi private event plus the people coming in for free play. Luckily, my son just turned five and had fun with his friends but to say I was disappointed is a very big understatement. For the price difference of having a private event to having multiple groups of people and FreePlay going on during your event isn't worth the savings

Day pass was $28, but there are sometimes deals on Mondays or Friday evenings. Equipment is included in the pass, so no separate rentals which is nice. We like bouldering. They correctly informed us that they set their routes on the difficult side. I could even tell during a simple warm up route that they're much more challenging than usual. You can top out, and climb up the top, onto the platform, and down a simple route with extra handles. Good experience, I'll be back!

Highly recommended summer day camp for kids Grade 1 through 8 during the month of July only. My son…read morehad a total blast at this camp and learned a lot with his fellow campers. College students in the education department lead this program, with close guidance from their professors. There are plenty of outdoor activities as well as indoor lessons. The price was unbelievable, just $150 a week. Does not include lunch, we were asked to brown bag it. For an 8 to 4 day camp, I'm sure you will never beat that. Nothing even comes close.
