Hello! Thanks so much for reaching out. Perhaps this is a different organization you're thinking of? We don't have any programs like this but come next January save your Christmas trees for us because we'll gladly accept those!

I cannot recommend Take Heart enough (need more stars Yelp!)and only hope this review will help…read moresomeone decide. I started as a volunteer in July of 2021. After a very short amount of time, being the keen observer I am , I noticed how happy, healthy and well taken care of the horses were. The barns, indoor areas, and the grounds were very clean, organized and well kept considering all the activity with the horses and the people. It was obvious to me,that not only must the owners care a lot but they must continuously set the standard high for their staff in order for a facility such as this to run so smoothly. I couldn't get enough of this place! After working at my "day job" I'd volunteer whenever asked! I was so happy when, after volunteering and going through trainings, I was asked to come on board as part of the Barn Staff (PT nights). The one big difference between barn staff duties and volunteer duties is that volunteers are not allowed to interact with the horses that Take Heart boards. Well here I am STILL volunteering even though I am on the barn staff and like I said "I can't get enough of this place"! This is my first FB review and I truly hope it has given Take Heart Counseling & Equine Assisted Therapy the credit it deserves! I know that no matter how bad of a day I am having, after spending time here I ALWAYS feel better! Thank you to all the barn staff, counselors, and especially the awesome owners Meagan & Grant Good. If anyone wants more info feel free to message me! Sue Yard

My 6 year old has been taking horsemanship lessons at Take Heart for over a year and it is simply…read morethe best! It is a peaceful, calm environment for her to learn riding and horse care. She loves her instructor Ciara who does such a great job with her. 10/10 would recommend for counseling or horsemanship.
