I was nervous to get her spayed because I've fallen so in love with her (she came to us via the cat distribution system) and getting a surgery is scary, but they were gentle with her and so far everything seems great. The staff were kind and organized even though it was so busy. They are also so great in being a low cost place - even our vet recommended doing it here and not at their place because the price difference was so vast. This is a follow-up review. My daughter's cats name is Winx. She named him that because he had a winky eye (unfortunately). He was a stray that she decided to take in. He was near death and only a little over 4 pounds. Now he is 11.6 pounds. We decided to take him back to Emancipet to get neutered (now that he was strong enough), and also have surgery on his eye. This surgery is called Entropion. It's a inward turning of his eyelid that is very irritating for him. Emancipet was great! They did both surgeries the same day! I had to take him back to get his stitches out (from his eye surgery) after 4 weeks. She has only had him for almost 4 months and he looks like a different cat! We are so thankful to Emancipet and would highly recommended them. P.S. Neutering for cats is $89. The Entropion surgery was a little over $300 (sorry I can't quite remember). read more

I was googling how much neutering surgeries cost and was getting ranges from $50-500. Then I get a quote from my own vet for ~$1,000, and almost lost my mind! Where do I go to get my dog neutered for $50-500? Thank God for Emancipet. Just from reading reviews left by other fellow Yelp reviewers, I felt comfortable taking my dog there to get neutered. An appointment was easily set up via the phone with simple instructions provided. They did not try to scare me the way my vet tried to. On the day of the neutering, I was worried. Those fears that were drilled into my head by my vet returned. I had to sign a waiver in case of accidents, which did worry me at first. But then, the logical voice in my head reminded myself that Emancipet does this on a daily basis and has done enough of these to not mess up. Look at the other 14 other dogs around us who would be getting neutered too! I signed the waiver and left my dog with the vet tech. 5 hours later, I got a call that the neutering was completed and for me to come pick up my dog. As I write this review 2 months later, I am still extremely thankful for Emancipet. They did a great job with the neutering. My dog could not have been taken care of any better. No frills low cost vet care. I would make note of a few things. 1) be careful with smaller pets. When I visited there were bigger and more aggressive dogs. Someone's pitbull nipped my carrier. Granted the cat did pee in it, but just be cautious of other people's pets around you since you may be in close proximity with other pets 2) go as early as possible if you want to avoid a wait. I waited an hour around 11am. 3) be prepared with questions you may have. I was pretty tired so I forgot stuff I should've asked. Besides that this place gets the job done. Amazing people read more

The first issue was that they wanted me to get my dog shots over because the breeder took them to get them done. Now my puply got three shots her leg is leaking fluids i tried calling for after hour services but no luck. I found this location by recomendation of a neighbor. My primary vet missed giving my puppy the bordetella vaccine and I have a grooming appointment (that was really hard to get due to high demand) that required the vaccine. My vet couldn't take my dog until after the grooming appointment which was no help. Fortunately I came across Emancipet that does low cost things including the bordetella vaccine. This location does walk in only except for spay/neuter (appointment required). I went around 5:15 on a Tuesday and was out by 6:10pm - the wait time was more than expected but the staff was so professional and it was nice speaking to them. A great low cost place to take your pet for all their routine vaccines and other services. I got my puppy spayed, microchipped, and toe nails trimmed at the same time and the total came out to be $105 ($69 for spay, $20 for microchip, $10 for toe nail trim, $6 for pain medication). Other places are at least $500 just to get her spayed. Staff is very friendly and informative also. Answered any questions I had pre- and post-op. Wait times are very long though. There's normally a wait list that can be a few hours long but they'll send you a text when it's 30min before your name is next in line so you can leave and come back to the clinic. You normally still have to wait when you get there though. I once got put on the waitlist for about 2.5hrs and then had to wait another 45min when I got to the clinic for a vaccine that only took less than 30sec to administer. But other than the long wait times, this is an great place for taking your pet to get routine care. read more

I needed to see a vet right away to get shots for my puppy and saw this place and read about what they are all about. What a blessing it is to have one of these clinics in my hometown! They take walk-in appointments. I tried calling them, but the wait time was 58 minutes. I was able to drive there and wait basically 20 minutes after a bunch of other patients, so service was quick. The decor is basically no-frills, but that's okay. I don't need my vet clinic (or even doctor's office) to smell like roses. Service was quick. The vet was informative. Got a recommendation to take my new pup to get checked out at Emancipets. Love how efficient everything is: parking, check in, wait list, check out, easy peasy. Pup and I went on a Saturday morning to try and beat the morning rush...don't even do it. Just save yourself the time and get there after you eat breakfast, it's actually slower later in the day. Clean office with lots of spaced seating. Vet tech took my info and took cat back, then shortly after cat was returned and vet came out to brief me. Staff very pleasant and professional. I was told my cat had a cracked molar which I was unaware of. Since they don't do dental there, they had no financial incentive to tell me this. I was given a list of cat dentists. FANTASTIC! Our pup Bella got spayed here about 2 months ago. She went in that morning we picked her up in the evening. She slept the first night and then boom. The next day it was like she never even got spayed. Brand new pup- happy and healthy. Fast recovery. The staff was very knowledgeable- they sent us home with informational packets and extra medicine ($6) Some of the cons: it is a low cost service so there were a TON of people in there. It seemed like a few homeless with their pets which I thought was very cool. It's amazing that a company would provide this lower cost service so that everyone can take care of their pet the way they should be. I will admit that prior to bringing a foster dog from a rescue that I volunteer with I had no idea what emancipet was all about. I recommend that everybody goes to their website to get an understanding and support them. They are providing a very low-cost spay or neuter and super inexpensive vaccinations. While you may think that an establishment whose mission is to support those with pets who may not be able to afford services would be less than the best, I'm here to tell you You would be wrong! From the point I walked in to the point I picked up my shelter dog I was amazed at how clean and professional everything was. This place is a joke. My husband and I made a appointment in November 2021 for our cat to be neutered January 24th at 8am. We get there the place is closed we call and they tell us they don't have a doctor to do the surgery so they canceled all appointments and we like what we NEVER got a call or anything. This place is soo unprofessional and inconsiderate we took off work for this appointment I wouldn't recommend this place to any animal lovers this company is NOT reliable. Only problem I had about this place is the fact that if your pet is coming in for a scheduled surgery for spaying, it's a long wait before check it. When you make an appointment, an email is sent to you a day or so before your surgery and it will tell you to come 30-45 minutes before appointment because check in will take a while. My dog's appointment was at 8 AM and I came 45 minutes early to check in quickly but the clinic wasn't even opened at all. Another person there told me her appointment was 7:30 and have been waiting since 6am. So technically telling us to come in 30-45 min early before our schedule appointment was frustrating because they opened late (at the time of my dog's appointment) and I was late for school. Besides that weird scheduling and waiting game, everything was cool. Staffs were all nice and detailed about surgery and caring for pets after it. read more

They sprayed our exam room with lavender to relax our new puppy Scout. The vet assessment included cheese wiz to make friends with our pup during vaccinations. We rescued our puppy and were referred by the non profit. What a surprise when we were given dog food and a leash. Heck, they are a one stop shop with the ability to make dog tag too. Very convenient. Typically long waits and you will have to wait outside due to the pandemic. I have been attending for about 2 years. I go for shots, neutering/spaying and nail trimmings. Not a full service but they will assist in recommending low cost full service vets in the area. Once my 2 very small dogs were very vocal and we were asked to wait in a back room which was frustrating when large dogs are often visiting and aggressive.
