At 45 seeing me losing my hair was not pleasant at all, it was actually traumatic. My hair loss was on the top and center of my scalp so I looked as if I had a "landing strip".
I tried shaving bald for a while but that required a lot of daily work and I had to continuously protect it from the sun, so I decided to wear it as short as possible despite my disapproval.

In April 2015 I met Dr. Waheed Ibrahimi who explained to me the procedure of Platelet Rich Plasma therapy (PRP). I am not a doctor so I will explain in simple terms: blood is drawn, placed in a centrifuge machine which spins it thus separating the blood's molecules, the isolated molecules that are needed are mixed with a solution and then injected into the scalp with a tiny needle. The process takes approximately 30-45 minutes.
As with any procedure such as this, nothing is 100% guaranteed but it raised my hopes while knowing that I would not have adverse effects because it's essentially my own blood being used... no scaring, no side effects and the cost is very low.
I had 3 treatments in 3 months and one day I noticed that I my hair was actually re-growing, my own hair was coming back. It has now been 4 months and people are amazed at the transformation, I no longer look bald! The best part is that my hair should continue to re-emerge with time, some follicles respond slower than others. I recently went for my first hair-cut in over 4 years.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Waheed Ibrahimi, his knowledge of this procedure and others dealing with internal-wellness is absolutely amazing. His diligence and honest desire to solve my hair loss problem was inspiring.
