We had the catfish special and it was fantastic. Served with sides, hush puppies, slaw and green tomatoes all prepared to anyone's satisfaction. The plate came with 5 fillets. My side was pinto beans (which were delicious). Service was prompt and friendly. read more

Man...I really wanted to like this place but it just missed the spot. We got the chicken fried steak with mac and cheese, fried squash, mashed potatoes, chicken strips, fries and a roll. The roll and chicken fried steak were both really good. The mac and cheese were good but not great. My 8yo liked the mac and cheese, so I was happy with that. My kids didn't like the chicken strips at all and I didn't really blame them. The mashed potatoes weren't good to me. But I like mine chunky and these were not. Needed some place to stop for lunch during our trip and planned ahead finding this place on roadfood.com. I am sure glad we stopped. An old-fashioned burger that you can't pass up. Fries were crispy and the onion rings had a great bite with the black pepper in the batter. I saw lots of good looking food at the others tables as well. Spaghetti with meat sauce seemed to be a local favorite. Be sure to check out the specials on the blackboard on the far wall. Also save room for dessert. We were on a family trip and stopped for breakfast at this restaurant. It was awesome! From the door to the the end, it was great! The waitress, which I don't remember her name was great. She acknowledged us as soon as we enter the door. She has a friendly smile and was very nice. There was 8 of us and she had us seated, drinks and orders done in less than 10 minutes. The next thing I knew the food was out. It was hot and delicious. My sister liked the toast, and sausage, which I tasted and agreed. My son, the picky one, liked the pancakes. He also liked the biscuit, he literally took my biscuit. My dad and mom liked everything. The only thing was the coffee was not strong enough for me and the hashbrown could have been a little more crispy. Otherwise we all enjoyed our breakfast. Thank you for the hospitality. read more

Food and service are consistently good which is hard for any restaurant to achieve, let alone one that does a fairly brisk business. The only negative reviews on this site are from someone who judges every restaurant based on how they react to her "service dog" and someone who got an incorrect carry out order after trying the place ONCE. (Who orders carry out from a diner anyway?). In other words, your typical yelp whiners. Be advised, that as other diners have stated, they do not take credit cards.
