Not a bad pub but tends to be 'cliqueish.' Nice spacous beer garden at the back, good for families with children.

I called into this place today on the basis of the Qype review…read more It is a nice rural style pub with a log fire, a very nice place to visit with a cosy feel. The food menu looked like all the meals were all able to be "Home made" All the usual pub food, nothing too exotic or that interesting but you could see they made an effort to make it varied and interesting. Prices at £3-5ish for Snack. Main meals around £8-9 Steaks and Grills £11-13 One real ale pump serving Teltley's Fire Cracker. I wasn't really hungry but wanted to sample some food why I was there so I ordered the hot chicken sandwich. I was very disappointed. It was a cheap chicken burger on a poor quality bread bun with a bit of iceberg. Most of the pubs I know use a full chicken breast that they put their own coating on and serve with salad garnish etc. It's a shame really because it is a nice looking pub. My snack may or may not have been representative of the rest of the menu but I shall not be returning to find out. I have no doubt it one of the best pubs within a few mile.

This is great family pub and it's got a great atmosphere. You can eat in the car area or you can…read moreeat in the restaurant. The pub food is good value but it is worth going up to the restaurant. The food is really nice and the staff are very friendly. There is a good selection of wine and beer in the bar. We've also held family gatherings there are the buffet food was very good. There is a big car park at the back. The Queen Anne is one of the best pubs around and well worth a visit.

This is a very pleasant and welcoming community pub. We went in as complete strangers and enjoyed…read moreevery minute spent there as the staff and the local customers were friendly. The beers served are all the usual; Guinness, 1664 lager, Strongbow etc. but, as it is a Holt's pub, there is quite a selection of real ales with four handpumps, all different ales. There are also two large Holt's dispensers which appear to be for keg Holt's. The wines and spirits selection seems to be quite comprehensive. From 12 noon until 8pm food is served from a select, but interesting menu at very reasonable prices. During these times, also, children are allowed in, provided they are supervised the few in during our visit were very well behaved. The furniture and decor is impressively welcoming, clean and fairly new-looking with some different pictures rural landscapes and similar, rather than the usual fake antiques. The bar has a large screen tv with Sky Sports available and there is a partially separate pool room. The beer garden is quite a size, with plenty of seating at picnic tables and is mostly paved, but with a small grassed area. The car park is large enough to cater for almost the whole area and has a dedicated row of spaces for disabled next to the entrance doors. For those, like myself, who prefer not to have to drive, three local bus routes stop very close (Shetland Close bus-stop).
