Our favorite grocery store!…read more Always clean with helpful and very polite employees! They have great sales every week, tons of local food and alcohol. The sushi bar is good for grocery store sushi. The bakery is really good but the one on power is better and bigger. Seafood department and meat are always fresh and reasonably priced. They have a butcher in house that will do cuts if you ask. They sell live and cooked crawfish.

This is a pretty big Winn Dixie. Even though it's really close to my work, I always forget about it…read more- because I usually don't travel to Kenner. However, I was giving my mom the grand tour of the metro area, and we needed a few supplies for dinner. We stopped in here. Good selection, typical grocery store customer service (friendly, because they get paid to act friendly, etc.), competitive prices... yeah, the usual grocery store review, I know. The only thing in my opinion that makes this Winn Dixie stand out amongst the others in the area is that they have a large hot food section at the deli. You can pick out a full meal for lunch/dinner, including fried chicken, grilled chicken, various veggies, stuffing, potatoes, and tons of other stuff. I did this once on my lunch break - it was pretty good, and only about $5 for a big meal (priced by weight).

When i lived in New Orleans this store was everything to me I really enjoyed being able to find everything i was looking for. I travel here so much that i often purchase their brand seasonings and different items i can't find in NYC . But after this last visit unfortunately i will not spend my money where is don't feel appreciated as a customer or extremely uncomfortable. I believe in shopping local but Not here. The vibe is totally off and i will not buy anything from there again.

Clean store, fully stocked but with very limited options. Not the traditional grocery store with…read morehuge varieties of food options. I mainly go just to buy fruit but I took pictures of other things they had. It's more like a healthier grocery boutique by a German based company. I will say that I have noticed at different stores, the prices are drastically different per demographic areas. For example, I went to the store on Vets in Metairie and a family pack of chicken legs (drumsticks) was only $5 and some change. I went to the store in Algiers and they didn't offer the family pack of the same item, only 1/4 pack and the price was close to $6. I went to the Gretna store and their prices matched Vets prices. Very odd. In all the stores, I've been to, there's always one cashier and no self checkout stations except in Marrero. Overall, it's a pretty good place to shop for certain items but you're certainly not going to find your beloved Cajun foods or spices here.

I can't complain about Wally World. The hope and expectation of good customer service is just…read morethat; however, I can say that the two cashiers I encountered on this visit were very helpful. I specifically came here for the Blackstone Cheesesteak Seasoning which is found in the garden center and not with the rest of the spices. This cheesesteak seasoning is the absolute truth. I first rolled up on it while shopping for groceries in Pennsylvania earlier this year. When I got back home, I was totally shocked to find it here in this market. I personally prefer to make delicious chicken Philly cheesesteaks with provolone, onions, peppers, and mushrooms. I DO NOT use Po Boy French bread for this sandwich. I get soft, buttery hoagie rolls or buy plain sub rolls from Subway. I tried the French bread and it was terrible. Now, the kicker was the number of other seasonings I found and bought lol. I'm not familiar with Traeger or Weber but Dan O's, Blackstone and Kinder's are my fav so far. I might try Weber's savory herb butter and a few of the non name brands on the bottom shelf. However, I would recommend you try the Philly cheesesteak seasoning and don't be modest....shake that bottle til it's almost empty, hahahaha!

I usually come here for toiletries, and I appreciate that they have plenty of self-checkout lanes, which makes getting in and out much faster. Customer service is surprisingly efficient as well. I do remember this being a Schwegmann's and shopping here as a child many times. Great to see local businesses (Rouses, Robert, Zuppardo's, Dorignac's) being the main grocery options in New Orleans metro, much better than the national chains like Kroger, Safeway, Albertsons which lack personality and local flavor.

It has been a looooooong time since I've had that kind of attention while spending money. This store has lots of fresh produce, a bountiful deli section with sushi, salads and lots of prepared meals. I even purchased a shrimp and smoked salmon dip. There's a nice bakery with unique breads along with a meat and seafood section....live lobsters too! The store also has healthier junk food choices and items lol, (if that makes sense), for example, fried sweet potato chips, etc. If you spend over $100, your name goes into a raffle spinner and you can win $100 if your name is drawn. I hope I win lol. Without doubt, I found my favorite new store. They sell farrow and brown rice pasta! Yay!!!

I haven't had any real issues except I recieved the wrong type of formula once. The issue was reaolved promptly. The customer service has always been great even he times that I've gone into the store. The cashiers were friendly, which is something most Walmarts that I've visited didn't have. I was able to find everything that I needed, and when I couldn't find something, the workers that I asked helped with smiles. Kid you not! I wish I had gotten names... I especially like this one because they have a variety of the Gardein meatless products at a fair price. Many places don't have these or have a limited variety. The only con is that there was only 2 cashiers when I visited on a Saturday night. The lines moved quickly, but I have to wonder if the "Scan N Go" is causing people to lose their hours.
