was so excited to have a Rouses come close to my work , I loved getting lunch from the one on Carrolton but this location is no better than Winn Dixie was . The lunch bar is usually empty pans with water or very little options and not setting a good example of what A Rouses should be read more

Our favorite grocery store! Always clean with helpful and very polite employees! They have great sales every week, tons of local food and alcohol. The sushi bar is good for grocery store sushi. The bakery is really good but the one on power is better and bigger. Seafood department and meat are always fresh and reasonably priced. They have a butcher in house that will do cuts if you ask. They sell live and cooked crawfish. read more

I visit Rouse's #56 on today I regular goes there everyone is attentive and friendly, but this is the first time ever that I encounter a worker with an attitude for no and she was working in the seafood area never seen her before she must come from another store that display that attitude people like that shouldn't have jobs w the PUBLIC but that's not going to stop me from going there. I just hope the next time I go there she is not working behind the seafood counter. I have to specify this.(caucasian girl.) read more

Sparkling new Rouse's located at the old Winn-Dixie that was here for the past 30 yrs or so. Of course with this being a brand new store it's going to look nice but I found it to be more than just pleasing to the eye. What makes a great grocery store? For me it's fresh meat and produce, lots of checkout lines, and convenience. This Rouse's meets all of those requirements. They have packaged meals, a sushi station, Grocery stores in general tend to steer you in a certain direction when you shop. To shop counterclockwise and to buy items on the shelves that are eye-level (more expensive items). This store is no different. Hey a business is a business and has to make that $$$. This Rouse's has a great deli, beer and wine selection, bakery, and seafood department. Lots of choices in every department. This store has plenty of space too. Heard it is 55,000 sq ft. So lots of room to move around. The cashiers were fast and friendly. The rest of the staff all seemed very appreciative to everyone that came in. I will definitely be shopping here in the future. read more

I needed a few groceries on my way to New Orleans and so I popped in . I needed water, coconut water, ice, etc. nothing too onerous. Well, people were quite helpful and friendly. However, no one knew what to find Coconut Water. Eventually it was found, but I definitely had a lot of people helping me. Which, all-in-all, is a good thing. read more

y'all need to put chairs outside the deli counter. with only 1 person cutting meat my back is sore from standing and waiting so long. I should've gone to Zuppardos. read more

Very clean and friendly environment, I shop here often for my groceries because I live around the corner. I do wish the cooked foods and perishinles were cheaper but I can understand with the economy why they are not. so I just cook my own food to be honest. But I am thankful for that opportunity to have a good grocery store so close to my house . read more

The only reason I'm ever in Kenner is to go to Coconut Beach. I don't necessarily think it's the farthest place in the world but I fear the chubby, lazy person that lives inside of me will find the multitude of fast food drive-thrus to be a means of weekly sustenance after getting a bit of a workout thus making me regret even being in Kenner. Alas, our fridge was empty this past Tuesday and my stomach unintelligibly called for bad decisions wrapped in greasy paper. Enter Rouses in Kenner. I've been to my fair share of Rouses in the city. They're that middle of the line grocer that's not up there with Whole Foods but better than Robert's or Walmart for sure. We usually go to the one on Carrollton but decided to try out this location since we were leaving our game and it was RIGHT THERE. Y'all. It was like...a zombie apocalypse had killed off 99.9% of the population but all these Rouses employees had survived and were quite happy about it and continued to do an exemplary job since there is nothing else to really do during a zombie apocalypse but have purpose. If tumbleweed could've been present for effect to signify the emptiness that was the lot, it would've been. The security guard greeted us warmly. The produce was well stocked. The space between shelving could've probably fit two carts side by side (if necessary, remember: zombie apocalypse) AND GET THIS, if you're like me and suffer from coldaisleaphobia (i.e. The fear of fetching the milk 'cause the aisle is so stinkin' cold that you avoid it at all cost) FEAR NO MORE...they have gas station glass doors on all of their cold groceries (I'm guessing not to attract zombies that flock to the cold). And they had ponzu sauce that the Carrollton location had been mysteriously out of for-ev-ER. I may have bought two bottles, just in case. I'm gonna start out with four stars 'cause maybe the joys of such an isolated grocery trip was a fluke. Maybe the zombies will find us and this will become just another Rouses to me. Alas, they're not far from their fifth star 'cause if bandanas for sale in every color doesn't do it for you during Pride Month, you MUST be a zombie. read more

I live in LaPlace. I drove the 24 miles for two orders of the 8 piece seasoned double battered fried chicken. It used to be the best fried chicken I ever tasted. I was very disappointed to find it was so bland with no taste. I couldn't taste the seasoning and I don't think it was twice battered, even though I had called ahead of time and she reassured me. Quite disappointing!!!! read more

This is one of my favorite locations of Rouses. The store is beautiful- well spaced out, well stocked. The people are, for the most part, very friendly and helpful. The deli can be a bit slow, but the people working at the counter are usually helpful and take their time to engage with customers. I like the Rouses deli meats, and also look for the meat and produce specials. Their eggs are cheap as well! This is my main grocery store. read more

Friendly service, local products, and reasonable prices! What more can you ask for? The produce was like most other grocery stores but with a local twist on providing produce from the area like Louisiana strawberries! The wine selection is very nice and well organized. They even have the often difficult to find Saldo Zinfandel, it's a great wine, ignore the price. The meat section is a great mix of regular and local flavors. Overall it is a great store and I'll definitely be returning. read more

This used to be my favorite grocery with fresh French bread, fresh king cakes, and so many tasty South Louisiana meats (except the nasty hogsheads cheese). Lately, the store on Power Blvd. in Metairie has been upsetting to shop. They have a huge banner on the facade of the store claiming to have boiled crawfish from 11 to 7 daily and even a newspaper ad proclaiming the same. But today was the fourth time this crawfish season when the store had no crawfish, but excuses instead. The lady in front of me was told at 4:45 pm that the could boil some for her if she wanted to wait 45 minutes. I waited 45 minutes on Good Friday for crawfish, but there was so little to go around that we left and bought them elsewhere. This store is poorly managed and unprepared. Sad!! The liquor department in this store has most selections locked behind glass doors, but no one to help you get your selection. How frustrating. They should unlock the doors, or assign a person to man that area always, or just decide to quit selling liquor items the customer cannot get. Several months ago this Rouse's decided to rearrange their store by moving most of their items to different aisles. How frustrating for their shoppers. How inconvenient it was to shop for a few items, but having to spend twice as much time just to locate them. The competition is eating this store up because this Rouses' is doing everything they can to help them. read more

Is it really necessary to have employees scream across the store about people wearing masks . Isn't this a professional business not the Jerry Springer show ? The employees at this location need a tutorial on how to be professional and address paying customers. I'm very , very disappointed with my visit . read more

This Rouses was okay when it first opened but NOT ANYMORE! This place is absolutely FILTHY! I have been a few times after 8pm and seen the olive and salad bars covered with parchment paper which they take off to serve the same ROTTEN lettuce and accoutrements the next day! The cashiers at the checkout always reek of MARIJUANA! It is very clear that the company is not passionate about serving the marvelous city of Kenner. I've encountered many issues at this place and the ROTTEN meat was the icing on the cake! This Rouses must demolished unless the company does a complete overhaul of the building AND management. I will never step foot in this store again. read more

Unfortunately this is the Rouse's closest to my house so it's the one that I come to the most. I've resisted writing this review because while they do have some typically bad employees they also have some spectacular ones. My problem with the store is with whoever is making the decisions above them. I'm leaving the store today without everything that I needed and going to another store to get the rest. The selection seems much more limited than at the other Rouse's in the area. I know that the store isn't as large as some of the other ones but when it was a Winn Dixie I never had this problem. There seems to be acres of wasted space in the store that if it were utilized would remedy the situation. The back of the store on the right is usually a huge display of non grocery items. The front left is a large area of baked goods, etc on tables. And there are many rows of shelves that could be extended for more stock. While the meat department has all of the standard items, beyond that good luck. I understand the designer's thought that wide aisles and open spaces are attractive to the customer but if I can't get everything that I need on most of my trips there then I will just have to start shopping elsewhere. read more
