I discussed my 9 year old doing a self swab for strep due to him being combative when other people swabbing him and the location being 30-45 minutes from my home. (Closest immediate care) they let me know it was fine and they've done them in the past. When my son and I arrived we were told they didn't do this and gas lit by the nursing staff. "We've never done this before" I've been to this establishment on 5-6 different occasions and they have allowed my son to self administer his swab. They are old my son it wasn't a big deal and scared him. This establishment isn't autism friendly and if you have any children on the spectrum I don't recommend bringing them here at all.

I had a broken tooth filled on my upper right side. I was on time to my appointment and was left to wait for 20 minutes in the waiting room. When Mary (the denist) came to talk to me she didnt introduce herself and I later found out who she was. While she gave the local anesthetic she hit the main nerve in my face. I have never felt any pain like that before, my right side of my face immediately went numb and couldnt see out of my eye for a few seconds. Needless to say, I was a wreck and cried through the rest of the procedure. After, My whole right top jaw was in pain for the following week while I was not able to eat any foods warmer or colder than the temperature of my mouth because the tooth was so sensitive. I called Mary she said it was normal for the first week. (It is not normal to be that uncomfortable says other dentists) This lasted for a month. I went to see another dentist who took an xray and said Mary had not drilled out all the rotten part of the broken tooth as well as not having filled the tooth completely so there was space between my tooth and the filling so the gases trapped expanded and contracted with temperature change. This had caused a lot of new damage and rot and lots more money in repairing my tooth by a second dentist wanting to do a root canal. After all this, Mary did refund me the money for the poor job she did but the money I spent repairing her poor work and damage cost way more than the refund.

Then in early 2020 I went for my semi-annual cleaning and checkup. I was surprised when he rasied a cleaning by $20, but as a senior citizen on a fixed income he added a $20.00 room cleaning fee in addition. That was over a 33% increase and without any advance notice at all. That goes beyond distasteful to immoral and unethical. I sent a letter and received no response, so I found another dentist who is much more senior friendly. It did occur that this may be a way to eliminate seniors on fixed incomes but it a very distasteful thing to do.

He did an xray of my mouth immediately and then laid out all my options for the tooth. I decided to have the tooth pulled and he finished the procedure in ten minutes. Absolutely no pain whatsoever. He did a root canal on another tooth last year and he let me pay for it every month. He works with you. I have no dental insurance. I don't know what I'd do without him. Oh, yes I do. My daughter, 5 years old, needed some work done because her baby tooth in front never formed correctly causing it to be decayed and infected. For months, we could not find a good doctor in our network. We must have overlooked Forest the first time. Anyway, after the stress of finding a decent provider, we found these guys. They have been nothing but AMAZING! My husband took my daughter to the initial meet and greet consultation. He was blown away by how friendly, quick, and thorough they were. The next day, I got in touch with Denise B, the coordinator, because my daughter needed to be done in the hospital due to her anxiety. Denise wasted NO TIME and submitted the hospital authorization. We were being a little difficult, schedule-wise, since it is hard for my husband and I to take off. They accommodated every change, from start to end. Dr. Anoki was so pleasant to work with. She took excellent care of my daughter! After the surgery, I took my daughter for her follow up appointment, and they got us in and out! I brought donuts because we were so thankful for them and the genuine care the provided. Everyone thanked me, and I didn't meet half of them. Just goes to show how friendly and welcoming they are. I will definitely be taking my daughters there for their routine cleanings! My daughter loved her and the entire staff, and so did we! Hands down the best pediatric office in Lake County!!
