I love having this service come to our house to groom my mini golden doodle. That way, as soon as…read moreshe's done, she can come into the home, not sit around in a kennel until I'm able to pick her up. The groomer also did a good job, and she would come out clean, cute, and smelling much better. The only complaint I had was that they don't express the anal glands, which was part of every service she'd gotten before (or so I was told). I got a call from the owner/manager of the groomer's business, and he said that the veterinarians in the area recommended that groomers not do it, because it's usually taken care of by the natural processes when the dog poops. And if, for some reason, the dog gets them impacted, it's best for the vet to take care of it. I'm a little suspicious that the vets just want to preserve as many treatments as they can for themselves because it helps their bottom line, but who knows? Anyway, hopefully, my dog won't and that service in the near future (although she has needed it in the pst due to impacted gland, which the vet did take care of because she had been incessantly licking her butt and I was worried about her.

A young woman from Aussie "Bark and Mane" came to give our cat a Lion cut today…read more Although she was a very nice young lady the cut was not good at all. It is extremely choppy. There are long pieces of fur sticking out on his legs and It looks nothing like a lion cut. The cost was $170 + tip. She was very sorry for the way it turned out. My roommate who hired this company agreed with her. Unfortunately there isn't anything my roommate can do about it. My roommate didn't want to leave a review because she's worried the girl will lose her job. I asked if she would rather someone else pay $190 with tip for a bad cut? Vicky Blankenship

I moved here very recently and had to search for a vet. Having just moved here I had no one to…read moreoffer a referral. My boy has chronic pancreatitis and was having a clinical episode. I chose River City Vet and Dr DoBroth was our vet, she is amazing. Took her time, asked the right questions'. She went over a plan and asked if I was good with it. Felt like I was heard. From the moment I walked in it was great. Very clean, staff were very courteous. I got in quickly even though they were busy. Her plan - our plan- is realistic not overboard. Brody is 15 years old and the treatment plan is going very well. In fact, he's acting like a youngster. Thank you Dr DoBroth for your care. Peggy and Brody

I expect a vet to be there when we desperately need help. Instead, River City Vet turned us away…read more During Blue's yearly checkup I mentioned that there had been some respiratory/sneezing issues for several months but this was of no concern to them. We were told he was healthy. He wasn't. I brought Blue in for a weight check 3-4 weeks after his checkup. He had lost nearly a pound in that time. He wouldn't eat. His behavior had changed. No one followed up on my concerns. I called River City Vet a few days after the weight check because Blue was lethargic and wouldn't eat or drink. We were told they didn't have time for us. I took Blue in to West Vet for IV fluids every day for 3 days. My husband was out of the country and made an emergency flight home from Japan while we struggled to keep Blue alive so he could say goodbye to his favorite human. Blue died in our arms on Easter Sunday, a few hours after my husband got home. He was only 6 years old.
