    Shamrock Cleaners

I've been coming here for YEARS so I think I'm qualified to leave a thorough assessment. First off,…read morelet me say this: Quite a few of the negative reviews are from people who are salty because Shamrock wasn't accepting new customers. Are you serious? Do you also get upset when doctor's offices don't accept new patients? ‍ This isn't a restaurant turning down a potential customer or a grocery store telling ya you're not allowed. Believe it or not, there are some businesses that have their own procedures when it comes to accepting new clientele. Get over it. People and their sense of entitlement. Now, to their service. I always walk-in which means I haven't used the drive-thru before so I can't give a knowledgeable opinion on that but their staff has always been great to me. Like any business, some employees have more personality than others but none of them have ever been mean or unkind to me. Not only that but my clothes are always cleaned to a "T" and done precisely the way I requested. I just brought in a very bright blue blazer that I managed to spill some grease on. They completely eradicated the stains. No lost buttons or shrinkage with any of my items. If Shamrock is accepting new customers, which you can always call beforehand to find out, then they are most definitely going to get your clothes clean.

Extremely disappointed with the service at Shamrock Cleaners. However, every time we arrived, we were told the item was actually not ready because it "wasn't up to their standards." We were then promised it would be completed the following week, only to continue getting the runaround. As of today, after all this time and inconvenience, we were simply told to come pick up the item and that we would be refunded. The lack of communication, wasted trips, and failure to complete the service after an entire month was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I would not recommend this business based on our experience.

    Pinky's Moving Service

    Pinky's Moving Service

Tl;dr DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I hired Pinky's Moving…read moreService for close to $5,000 to pack my apartment in Tallahassee and move my items to Atlanta. The owner came to my place and walked the space, taking notes as he looked in every drawer, cabinet, closet, under the bed and outside. It was very important to me to use a Black or woman-owned local business, but this was the biggest mistake of the year. This is probably my 20th move and the shortest distance, as I've moved across the US and overseas several times, but this is the WORST MOVE EVER. I wasn't present for the move because of a death in my family, but my best friend was there as my proxy, and another friend would be in Atlanta. When I told Pinky I wouldn't be there, he was upset, saying he doesn't "want a bunch of women in his way during the move." Ahead of the move, he changed the dates from what we discussed, saying his office should have told me a breakdown of events. It never happened. They also didn't have payment links with the invoices, he wanted to stop by and collect cash. That should have been my first set of red flags. Day of the move, his crew arrives with a small box truck. I had a 850 square foot apartment, with a lot of stuff (which again Pinky saw everything before he gave me a quote). They ran out of boxes, used all of the shipping tape and bubble wrap I had for my business, and drank most of my expensive plant-based protein shakes without asking. Side note, empty bottles of the drink were left in the front yard.I also found they ate more than a dozen packets of gummy bears from my cabinet and put the empty bags back in the gummy bear box. They told my friend to stay out of their way, with Pinky telling her he's been doing this for 15 years and he's going to take good care of me and my stuff. WELL.... They didn't wrap the lamps, and most of them are now broken. They didn't wrap my king sized mattress, which looked like it was dragged through the dirt, they "packed" the spices from my kitchen cabinet in a tarp, which they left on the garage floor in the new house, they "packed" my pots and pans in the dirty kitchen trash can, my mirrored desk has a massive crack in it. There was a thin layer of bubble wrap (which is only suitable for shipping paintings - not protecting glass.) The boxes all looked like they'd been through a war. The crew left my apartment without packing up the entire kitchen, left items in several closets and in cabinets, they left my vacuum cleaners, art on the walls, and put random stuff in closets which my friend found after they left. And when I called Pinky to tell him, he said "don't call me no more," also that I was getting mad "for no reason" and that's what happens when you have minorities for customers. He also said my friend was getting me riled up and shouldn't tell me what his guys were doing with my belongings that they were supposed to be packing. My TV wasn't boxed, artwork was just tossed unprotected in boxes that weren't even sealed- some with kitchen jars and shoes on top of them, my plants had things thrown on top of them, it tools ages to find my clothes because they weren't put in wardrobe boxes as promised. They pretty much left everything in the garage. Because they ran out of room in the small truck, my friend had to make two trips to Atlanta in my SUV with the things they didn't take. The next day, my friend found an attachment to my vacuum cleaner in the driveway! Other parts of the second vacuum were found in the master bedroom - took a while to find the actual cleaner. I found parts of my big storage rack in the driveway and front yard of my house a month later! My garment rack is broken and missing a wheel, and so many pieces of broken glass were found in my apartment from things they dropped as they "packed." They also broke a cabinet door in the apartment kitchen. Check out the pictures and see the finished product of this move. As of this writing, Pinky's Moving Service hasn't responded to the email I sent with the first round of damaged goods. Bottom line, DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.

Recently hired Pinky's to move my stuff from 2 separate storage locations to my home. This was done…read moreover 2 separate dates but I had the same movers on both. The movers were nice, polite, prompt and VERY quick and efficient .....nothing was broken or damaged. The pricing was comparable to other local companies ......in fact Pinky gave me a break on pricing when I added the second pickup location. I would use them again if ever needed and would recommend them to friends.

Parker Services installed our Amana heat pump unit in 2018. When we needed repair in December 2024,…read morethey came out and diagnosed it as a leaking coil with no refrigerant left in the system. The diagnostic charge was $130 which is fair. The repair estimate (labor) to replace the coil was $1230 plus refrigerant, (the part was under warranty) which the tech said would be about another $1000. The labor estimate of $1230 was to be two techs for four hours each (8 hours total labor). Our unit holds about 16 pounds of R410A, which we bought online at a very substantial savings ($230 for 25#) so obviously there is well over a 300% markup on their refrigerant pricing. Once the new coil was received by Parker Services, they came out to install it. The first tech was there alone for one hour before the second tech arrived ($160). The second tech was there together with the first tech for one hour ($260), then the first tech left, and the second tech was there alone for 2 more hours ($320). This is using their labor rates, and should have been a total of $740 for labor. After about 10 days of requesting an itemized invoice from "Buddy", we received an invoice via email for the full amount of the initial "estimate" of $1230, which was broken down as $130 for diagnostic (correct), and $1100 for labor ($260 per hour for two men @ 3 hours and $160 for one man @ 2 hours) which was incorrect. I called Jeremy to try to get this reduced to the proper amount of $870. ($740 actual labor cost, plus $130 diagnostic), but still received an "itemized" invoice for $1230, with incorrect labor hours on it. This is an overbilling of $360. We are mailing them a check for the full invoice amount. Unless this is resolved, we will not be using Parker Services in the future. Also, we only used 16 pounds of the 25 pounds of refrigerant that we bought, and gave the remaining 8 pounds to the tech. I am retired from commercial construction and have built $60 million dollar buildings so I have plenty of experience and knowledge in the HVAC industry. I also have known the founders of Parker Services for many years but would not recommend using them.

The guy "Buddy" is anything but your buddy. He also cussed us out and told us its not his fault we are poor!
