Kansho beer - with a chilli kick
    Michelle Y.

Reliable chain for noodles, generally good food and this restaurant was no exception. The staff made us welcome & did everything possible to make sure my toddler was seated safe & was entertained. We ordered the chilli squid & pork ribs as starters/side dishrs, both were served pipping hot, really good size portion & both tasty. The squid was hot & spicy & retained the crispy coating. The ribs were juicy with plenty of sauce. I had the ginger chicken udon noodles, fresh ginger & plenty of chicken cooked nicely, very tasty & nicely spiced. My husband had beef using noodles, with chilli. The bill came to £46, which was not too bad considering the amount of food server. Always worth a visit if your stuck for somewhere to go & want a relaxed atmosphere.

    Vegan ramen!

Stopped by this place on a cold and rainy summer day! Best part... VEGAN ramen. They also have a great vegan menu but didn't have room to try more. Service was hit or miss but the food was great.

Wagamama is an extremely successful Japanese style restaurant on Putney High Street. The menu contains the likes of Ramen and Tepppan fried noddle dishes, but also a choice of Japanese curries with rice. Side dishes include dumplings, prawns, steamed soya beans, miso soup and the like. Wine and beer are available, but also fresh juices and green tea. The orders are taken on small PDA style devices, and are transmitted electronically to the kitchen. The food is brought out as soon as it's ready, so don't expect it to arrive all at once. The décor of the restaurant is pretty modern, and you often share the long tables with other customers - which gives the slight feeling that you are in a fast food restaurant, but fun at the same time. The food is tasty, although not quite as good as Hare and Tortoise on the Upper Richmond road in my opinion. Prices are also a bit more expensive, with main dishes around the £8 mark. We loved a recent dinner at Zheng. Nice ambience in a great area just off of Fulham Road, very good…read moreservice and excellent, tasty Malaysian cuisine. Highly recommend.

Found Zheng Chelsea within a short 5-10 min walking distance of our hotel via yelp It looked modern and upscale from pics online and a bit fusion in the style of Malaysian dishes, so we didn't expect too much, gauging from the majority of the customers being non-Asian (sorry but it's usually a pretty accurate measure when evaluating authenticity/flavors of dishes). BUT...we ended up loving every dish we ordered, and while we're far from being an expert in Southeast Asian/Malaysian cuisine, we found every dish to be tasty and perfectly cooked. The crispy beef had a nice light crisp batter but the beef inside was still tender and tasty...often times, this dish results in chewy/tough beef with way too much batter and is mushy instead of nicely crisped. Soya Sauce chicken was with all dark meat chicken (cut up thighs with bones) and we definitely always appreciate restaurants with dark meat chicken in their chicken dishes since we much much much prefer dark meat to white breast meat pieces! Even the Gai lan veggies with oyster sauce was tasty and the stems were not too thick/chewy and tough like many other times when we've had gai lan elsewhere...my fiancé isn't even a huge fan of gai lan but he loves this preparation of it at Zheng Chelsea Ohhh and definitely get the coconut rice, it's quite flavorful and complements most of the dishes on the menu quite well! The decor inside was spotless, nice comfy velvet chairs/booths and it was nice and quiet downstairs vs the much more lively (but also loud) upstairs part. And service was quite good and definitely way above average if compared to the usual Chinese restaurants

Only a few blocks away from the hordes teeming from Olympia exists your Philippine oasis. You'll…read moreneed the exercise given the overwhelming choices and generous portions to try. For the more leisurely visit, start with sea bream ceviche or go the vegan route Vegetable Lumpia (has nuts). As it was lunch for me, I began with an Ube Latte to drink which was tasty, but you could go for weeks trying various teas: Lemon Verbena, Turmeric Chai, Paradise Punch. And that's only a launching point to the World Beers and Handcrafted Cocktails portion of the menu. The more adventurous will try Batangas Bad Boy (10 year Talisker) or Boracay Dreams (rum, Malibu, coconut cream). But I needed to have a productive second-half of the day, so next time for those. On to the main course. I normally would be all over the "all-time favorite" Pork Hock, but as it was later in the travel week I opted for sea bass. It was a solid choice. The pandan leaf wrap locked in the moisture and flavor, and the soy lime dressing was definitely not for the faint of spicy-heart without adding rice. The noodles looked excellent at the table nearby, picking between chicken, shrimp, vegan, even sardines. Since I needed to be awake for some meetings, dessert wasn't an option this time, but the Banana Turon fritters would fit the bill nicely. Service was friendly and prompt, while still allowing time to dwell and savor. I'll schedule a return on a Friday to enjoy tapas "journey of Filipino flavours".

Hello my foodie followers! Today's food destination is Romulo Cafe in London. This place was…read morerecommended by one of our flight attendants, so we had to try it. My friends ordered the Crispy Pata, Sea Bass, and Spring Chicken Adobo. Now, being the herbivore of the group I ordered the roasted butternut squash relleno - a healthy vegan masterpiece. As far as libations, , I sipped on the tropical delight of the pina colada mocktail, Clei strutted his stuff with the exquisite Ube Martini, Jorge went for a classic beer, and Jerry enjoyed a glass of wine. To wrap up our flavor-filled escapade, we shared the calamarsi lime tart, and Maja Blanca. I didn't care for the Maja Blanca, but the calamansi tart was delish. Service was good, and the vibe was fabulous. Overall, I give it 5 stars.
