Use to take our family dog here for years. Now I have my own dog. Took her once she came out nice and clean. 3 months later my husband drops her off they make him take her collar and everything off when he drops her off and they put her on this rope collar thing which is way too loose around her neck she breaks loose runs out of the shop in traffic on Addison. My husband had to chase her good thing cars stopped for them or else who knows what would've happened. 5 hours later he picks her up they put her own collar on to loose. She almost slips out of that at breaks free of that. She is a German Shepard they should know how strong those type of dogs can be. Also I asked for a trim they wanted to shave her..yeah no...I had to explain what I meant as a "trim" still long hairs on her....at least she smells nice. Will not be coming here again. Too scared my dog will run away from them. read more

This was the first groomer that we chose for my poodle mix primarily because of the location and decent reviews. Thing were going well for a couple months until it became clear that there were not enough employees at the groomer and there was maybe one or two women doing all of the work. The work was good, but my issues began when one day I went to pick up my dog at 5 PM which was the time the groomer told me to come pick him up. There was one woman alone and she kept apologizing for keeping me which was fine, I understood. After going to the back to get my dog for me, I was greeted by a dog that was not mine and it completely concerned me thinking that she had given my dog to the wrong owners. Turns out that my dog was still in the process of being shaved and wouldn't be ready to leave for another 30 minutes. The last time I tried to set up an appointment, I was told to come in on a Friday at 12 and when I arrived there was a note on the door of a family emergency and my appointment was canceled. I understand that these things happen, but the least that the groomers could have done was give us a quick call to let us know that my dog wouldn't be able to come in instead of spending the entire morning waiting to take him in. Have not gone back since this experience. read more

I used to live further east and went to the place I love and they were wonderful! You could tell they were animal lovers and my dog was always happy to go there , happy when I came to pick him up !Then I moved further this way. I decided to give Wag Your Tail a try. Twice. last year I made an appointment. One time they were walking out the door locking it up, told me no sorry. we're closed today. They told me on my next visit that they would take $10 off my next visit. I made another appointment and the same thing happened, nobody there . I left 1 million messages on there phone no response! Fast forward a year, I decide to give them a try one more time. I brought my dog at 12:30, they said 3 to 4 hours explained what I wanted. so I gave them a call in about 3 1/2 hours, no answer twice. Second message I told them I was just going to show up. Then it's 5 o'clock, they're still not done ! They tell me 20 more minutes, and I looked at them and said why? She said OK 10 minutes. so I waited, they bring my dog up from a basement you don't have a view and of. My dog was walking in circles, wouldn't let me put his collar on him, was skitish and nervous, just very odd! I get him home, he's been passed out ever since it's now 9 o'clock. I think they drugged him! So they could trim him and clip his nails , and the groomer had a fresh cut on her arm or scrape. and they cut him really short like a summer cut. Also while all this was going on I started thinking and started getting a really bad vibe about the place, but of course it was too late to stop the procedure. I'm going to be calling an emergency vet right now, and get their opinion. I will never go back there! No star! read more

Awesome services. My dog comes back smelling amazing and totally happy. They do a good job grooming pets. The shop looks a bit dingy, but it's still super cool. The owners are nice when you meet them and walk in. They usually have their pups chilling in the shop. Nice dogs too. They could work on calling clients back. They almost never call you back if you leave a message. Super annoying. But my dog like the owners and he's always willing to go with them (he hates bath time and we've taken him to other groomers) and he never puts up a fight so they are doing something right! Highly recommend the place. They just need to call clients back in a timely manner. read more

Had huge selection and great prices on hollistic remedies for pets but place smelled a bit ripe and no potty after 1/2 hour drive (it was broken). Clerk wasn't super knowledgeable but admitted so and said she was learning. She was very helpful and honest about what she knew and told me when herbalist would be in. Worth the trip! read more

I've been taking my dog to this place for 2 years now. She absolutely loves it! I use to take her to another grooming place until I started noticing small cuts and how anxious my dog was. Wag Your Tail treats my dog like a princess, and she is always very happy when she leaves, no anxiety or tears! I love how detailed they are with the dogs, and my little one always comes out with the cutest bandanas and bows on her. I've never had to get a supplement or herbal advice from Mike so I can't really comment on that. However, this place is very nice, clean, friendly, and trustworthy- I won't take my dog anywhere else! read more

I have been bringing all of my dogs here over the past 15 years. This is a family business and they treat every animal that comes in like family. If I have health questions there vet is there to help personally. These people are amaizing. I just took my dog there today who had knots so close to her skin I was worried about them cutting her. A diamond in the RUFF!!!!! I get so angry when I see reviews from years ago and they are not removed. I have never had to groom my dogs as they have short hair but I have had their toes clipped. I have high praise for Mike the owner as a herbalist and a man who truly cares about you and your pet. You can follow my story if you are interested as we have been "friends" for years. He gave us that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel for our girl Vega and continues to give us some great advise to live our lives drug free. Don't be discouraged by a long wait as your turn will come and you will feel like the only person on earth that matters. I really feel like this should have been a 2 3/4 star rating. I take my 15 year old dog here because he has been going for about 6 years and it's familiar for him and not too concerned with him having up-to-date shots, etc. Before you jump all over me about this -- he is a rescue (aka "found") and a few months ago his vet confirmed that he isn't broke so he needs no fixing. I feel like there is always a different absentminded receptionist when I call to make an appointment and also when I have to call about six hours after I've dropped my dog off to see if he is ready and I am berated for not answering my phone and not owning the number they have been erroneously been calling. Hit or miss with the actual grooming. I have a feeling that the owners may be difficult to work for and so it's somewhat of a revolving door. And my husband went to pick up our dog and witnessed the man who got there a few minutes before him be unsuccessfully persuaded that two different, yet similar-looking shih-tzus were his dog before they brought the right one out from the cacophonous back room. He stormed out, declaring that he would not pay nor be back to use their services again. I, however, cannot make such permanent claims. read more

I absolutely love this place. It's extremely close to my house, and I take my dog here to get his nails trimmed and anal gland expressed. To compare, his regular vet charges $23 to express, Wag Your Tail charges $5. If anyone has ever talked to the owner/vet guy, it is more than clear that he has a genuine love for animals and I would completely trust what he tells me. Most veterinary facilities are run as a business and try to sell you things or give unnecessary medications for your pet, but this guy doesn't do that at all and has the dogs' best interests in mind. read more

I recently brought my cat here to see Mike, a certified Herbalist, after we found out she had a tumor on her pancreas. We had just left the emergency vet and were told to put our kitty to sleep. Mike was very kind and consulted with us for free for over 1 hour. He recommend an anti- cancer herb, Essiac, and 2 others for her heart. We were a bit skeptical at first about the ability of the herbs to help, but figured it was worth a try. It's been two weeks since then and to our surprise she is improving nicely! He also recommended Dr. Julie Mayer, at veterinarian, at Integrative Pet Care, who we consulted with yesterday. She gave us some great info on diet and said she had treated her dog with Essiac too. Her dog had been diagnosed with cancer and then lived for 6 more years using the Essiac. We can't thank both of them enough for offering us an alternative when traditional medicine had nothing else to offer us. We'll write back in a few months with her progress. read more

Took my dog here for her first appointment. I was told I could pick her up in four hours. I asked if I could take a look at the area where she would be kept for four hours, the basement, and was told I could not go down to look at it. The reason they gave was because the dogs would start barking and that it is "pretty messy down there." I took my little dog and left. I can imagine what kind of condition the facilities are in if they will not allow the public to see it. read more

Please, if you love your dog, DO NOT TAKE it to that place. The groomer stressed my dog out, wouldn't even try to talk to him nor pet him. She just grabbed him and started pulling him like a horse. Then when I told her to stop and to be nicer, she told me to get out of the office and take my dog somewhere else. That place is a mess, and I will not take my dog there anymore. read more

This place is the best. My dog, Lily, loved it here. She was a little scared at first, being a chihuahua and all, but she quickly warmed up to the workers. They gave her a free scarf and treats to take home. They care about animals in here and it really shows. I highly recommend this place over Petsmart and Petco where they're a bit rude. They were nice and gentle with my Lily. I couldn't be happier. They used an amazing shampoo on her that made her smell like fruit and flowers. The dogs that were there at the time I was were very happy too, from the big dogs to puppies. Amazing place. read more

I have taken my dog here before and it seemed good enough. I just adopted another dog and today was the first time they both went. When we got in, the owner said it would be a while for a clipping, but started to take the dogs in the basement. The older dog is afraid of dogs and gets really anxious in these situations. The other dog is fearful of men. I mentioned this to the owner so he can be careful with how he interacts with her. He started dragging the dogs in the back. I followed them because they were more resistant than usual. He kept pulling despite them resisting. One of the dogs fell down the stairs. They rushed the nail clipping and my dog has a cut that bled more than it ever has before. Furthermore, it was dirty in the back. This was an eye opener. The dogs will NEVER be going here again. read more

I've been going to this place for years! It was first recommended to me when my dog had surgery on both eyes and wouldn't eat. The all natural food from Wag Your Tail (Merrick brand) was better than anything I could have made fresh in the kitchen and my dog started eating it immediately. I came to rely on MIke's advice throughout the rest of my pet's life and there is no doubt that my dog's quality of life was greatly increased through the suggestions that Mike provided for us. I will be eternally grateful for that. Soon after I had to put my dog down I had the opportunity to rescue a beautiful little puppy who, with no other dog food in the house other than the brands that Wag Your Tail offers, has eaten food from Wag Your Tail her whole life (she's 2 now) and I get great satisfaction knowing that I'm giving her the best food and treats that I can find anywhere. Sometimes I'll bring her to Wag Your Tail for a quick nail trim while we pick up her food. This place is great I highly recommend it!!! :-D read more

My friend got me into this place. He used to take his dog here and now I take both my dogs to this location. They do a really good job and the prices are pretty sweet too, can't complain! I never liked taking my dogs to like Petsmart or Pet-co because those groomers are be a little tough on all the dogs. This place is literally the only place my dogs don't give me trouble/bark when arriving. They seem to enjoy it. Plus the owners of the location are really nice people and you can tell that they love animals. I would honestly recommend this place. read more

I have been taking my dog here to Wag Your Tail for years for grooming. I am VERY HAPPY with my dogs groomer!! I have never had a bad experience at this bussiness ever. I have been bringing Daisy here ever since she was a puppy,never once had i eever had a bad experience.They are great with my Daisy, she smells and looks great for weeks everytime!!! Also shall i say their prices are remarkable!!!! Not like a Petco or Petsmart my dog has a bond with their groomer,one on one relationship without 20million other dogs barking,or a different groomer everytime!!! I recomend Wag Your Tail. Its a great family orientated place to bring your four legged friend and know he or she is being well taken care of!! i took my two dogs to this groom shop after being reffered to it and was highly dissapointed at what i walked into. no.1 the place smelled like it had never been cleaned once. you cannot even see the top of the front counter because of all the trash sitting on it. no.2 i wanted to stay with my dogs because they have had traumatic grooming experiences before and was told a flat out NO and given the excuse of due to insurance purposes. i found it kind of odd as i have never been told no before, so i did my research and found out that i have the right to stay with my dogs if i want at a groom shop. Also another thing i found very odd was that I asked to use the restroom and they said it was out of order which then i seen the big orange sign on the door that read out of order but 30 seconds later someone came from the back mysterious grooming room and went in the restroom, closed the door and shortly after u can clearly hear the flushing sound of the toilet. I came to the conclusion that these people are not up to code standards and that is why they keep everything so strangely mysterious. I will never recommend nor take my dogs here again. There are so many new places going up that are neat, clean, and allow you to stay with your pets while groomed and also allow you to use their restroom :) so why would anyone want to come here. read more
